The sleek form of Tien's appropriated X-Wing starfighter curved up and around the Dauntless' superstructure and then buzzed the bridge before performing a snap roll that sent it spiraling down and around towards the main hangar bay, set to escort the Aurora Sprite down to the planet.

"Hawkbat One to Aurora Sprite, I'm in position to escort. Come to planetary approach vector one-one-four and I'll match speed." Tien spoke into his helmet comm as he decelerated to the Dauntless' crawling speed. "Don't scratch my baby coming out of that hangar."

The two ships fly out of the hangar and make their way planetside as more Republic ships come out of hyperspace. It appears most of the fleet has made the trip out here. On your descent, you notice a few scattered villages and little in the way of technology.

Garik sits in the dorsal laser turret on board the Aurora Sprite and lights a cigar.

((Sorry. Bad weekend. Our rotty ran away and the kids are devistated. Spent the weekend putting up posters and combing the neighborhood. Still no luck.))

Kadlo will take the co-pilot's seat next to Bendak.

Bendak notes the land cape below but continues on to the coordinates.

You all note on your descent that Ruusan is very sparse. There are a few villages that can be seen but as far as animal and plant life, there isn't much. You reach the landing spot which is pretty wide open. There is a village near by and some ruins in the background.

"I think our best option is to make for the ruins. I don't think we'll get much information from the locals and time is of the essence." Kadlo collects his gear and waits for any other ideas or opinions.

You would note that with the way the village is situated and with the surrounding mountainous terrain, you would have to pass through the village to reach the ruins in any amount of time.

As they disembark Garik makes sure his pack is properly fastened, and his blaster is fully charged. He also checks his lifeform scanner to see if it is still malfunctioning.

Bendak descends the ramp and looks around making sure he has every thing he needs he heads off toward the village and the ruins

Tien set the X-Wing down on a patch of clear ground not far away from the Sprite. As the fighter powered down he left his helmet on the control console and made his way onto one of the wing struts. He made sure the cockpit was locked against any curious natives before hopping down onto the ground and making his way to the rest of the group. He was still in his pilot's jumpsuit, strapping his heavy blaster to his thigh when he made it.

"Alright, gang. Let's get this traveling circus on the road, eh? I'd rather we get to the scary Jedi ruins some time before dark." he said with his customary frown that he always got when talking about Jedi voodoo.

Life scanner was working normally back on the Dauntless, but landing on Ruusan you've noticed that it's acting kind of fritzy again. Making your way to the village, you would note an elderly looking humanoid waiting patiently for you.

In very haltering, heavily accented common he asks, "Jee-dai?"

[Felistor]

Garik shakes his head in the negative. "Coe-man-doe"
He then shows the old man his blaster carbine. "Boomstick"
Pointing to the ruins he asks: "Who there?"

The old man rolls his eyes.

"Can understand you, just not good with language. It been so long. None of you Jee-dai?"

"Jedi, huh? Hey, Bendak! Kadlo! Hurry up! They want to talk to a jedi!" Tien called back to the others. Sometimes he didn't know why he was here except to fly the big, bad "Jeedai" around, he thought with a little smirk. Then again, since when did the natives on any planet come looking for pilots or scoundrels any time in recorded history? He sat on a nearby rock and waited for the jedi to make nice with the locals.

Bendak walks up to the man yes i'm a Jedi student.

The elderly humanoid nods his head in an excited fashion.

"Yes, Jee-dai from long time ago say there would be searchers. We keep Valley safe. We keep hidden. None tread grounds. Kat-arn also mention evil forces and war. We prepare battle?"

Tien Vor

"Those Sith are going to be coming here looking for the same thing we are." Tien mused from his perch on the nearby rock. "They'll kill anyone that gets in their way." he added, looking at the elder and Bendak. "Many of your people would die in a pitched battle. You know that, right?"

The elder shakes his head emphatically. His basic seems to be coming back to him as he speaks

"We not soldiers, but we are warriors. We are hunters. We have known this happen for centuries. We are prepared. We gather what forces we can to help. We provide much sniper support. This our home. We fight to defend it. We defend it or we die."

[Graybacca]

Bendak lays his hadnd on the old mans soulder, and it would be my honor to stand and fight along side you

Kadlo

Kadlo, who had stood silently behind Bendak, nods his head as well. "I would be honored as well. Did the Jedi teach your people any skills when they were here?"

Tien crossed his arms over his chest and looked away. Hey, if the natives were willing to play decoy and living shield, throwing themselves in front of the imperial troops, so that the party could complete their mission then it was fine with him. If these people didn't have a survival instinct it was up to them, and it wasn't like he was going to turn down the offer. So he waited there on his rock until the Jedi were finished with the talkie talkie.

Tien Tactical it makes no sense for use to go find he item while these people fight and die for use, say we find it and by the time we get back the Imp's have over run them then were then cut off from the ships and are only way off this rock, but if we stay and fight and defeat them then we can take are time and find the item at are leaser

"No good. While we're fighting the Imps will have sent someone to retrieve the artifacts from the ruins. We have to press onward." Tien said, hopping off the rock and approaching Bendak and the elder. "But no way in hell I'm just going to let the Sprite fall into enemy hands. I say we split up. You Jedi finish the mission, me and Garik will protect the escape route and help the natives with their imperial problem. How's that?"
