They are looking for the Jade Key, which is probably in the hands of a Dragon-Blood, somewhere on the Blessed Isle.

More or less my assumption. It's been a while, have we actually been told that that's their current objective, or are we just guessing based on the evidence?

Edit - ah, FaFL gives us a rundown of what they're probably looking for in comic 280 (Jade Key), but it also is where we get our clue about the Blade of Vitality.

Also, the Blessed Isle is where the Realm is based, which means it has the highest concentration of Dragon-Blooded in Creation, as well as the base of the Dragon-Blooded Immaculate Faith -- which is in charge of killing Anathema (that is, Lunars and Solars and, if they find out about them, Abyssals and Infernals, too). So it's a dangerous place for them to travel to, and a hard one for them to reach without a passage like this.

Yeah, but I didn't want to get into that one, since it's complicated (and some people argue about it.) The 1e castebook fiction and some things in 2e are pretty clear on the fact that a Sidereal who is actually careless enough to be seen with his anima and caste mark up will generally be taken for some weird sort of Anathema (pretty much 'caste mark & light-based anima = Anathema'), and many things imply that the typical DB response to discovering them will often be "the Immaculate Order is controlled by Anathema!"

I'm pretty sure it explicitly says, in the 2nd Edition corebook, that "Sidereals, if any were known to exist, would also be regarded as Anathema".

That's like arguing that you should shoot Mother Theresa the second she goes for her fork at dinner because Charles Manson *might* have disguised himself as her and be preparing to stab your baby with it.

Well, that was a more amusing response than I expected.

I kinda meant Fiends as literally as possible: Chosen of the Ebon Dragon probably aren't such a good thing for Yu-Shan.

Is that out of the context of the good point you were making? Oh my, yes. Just struck me as amusing enough at about 4 in the morning, so here we are.

No, before the war the Holy Tyrant had no body. He only became Malfeas when he was beaten.
