Re: Under a Grinning Moon : High Fantasy WW (Recruiting!)
So. An anyone confirm whether we get an extra lynch at night or replace our day lynch with a night lynch?
Also shouldn't we arrange for at least 1 random point each night to find the possessed?

Re: Under a Grinning Moon : High Fantasy WW (Recruiting!)
I for one would be fine with just having a scry/void vote and a lynch during the day, and leave the night for non-group actions.
Oh yeah; somebody might need to protect Murska, since apparently he's voided.Last edited by Internet Flea; 2010-09-07 at 02:11 PM.

Re: Under a Grinning Moon : High Fantasy WW (Recruiting!)
So Murska is voided until the Captain of the Guard chooses with his day action to release him instead of scry someone? Interesting.

Re: Under a Grinning Moon : High Fantasy WW (Recruiting!)
It was around nightfall that I finally made it home. The weight of the day was overcoming me with every step I took. Every scream, every movement taken flooded every facet of my mind until I could not bear it anymore. As I collapsed on our porch, I saw you standing over me, your eyes aglow with fear.
I suppose you took me in after that, and tried nursing me back to health. If I heard correctly, you spent your entire day by my bedside. You're far too sweet on me, love. I...
Oh dear. What a time to begin crying, eh? My eyes are fogging up as I write, so I'll be of no use to as is. Mind as well find somewhere to hide. I'll begin again when I find better shelter.
------------------------------------------
William began running once again, his oppressors just near enough to spur him onward. His sorrowful tears clouded his vision as he went, providing yet another obstacle to his attempts for safety. As his ears filled with the sounds of the Order, his sorrow was replaced be fear, and determination. He began to run as fast as his legs could carry him, farther and farther until the cries of his foes rung soft in his ears. Slowing down a bit, he noticed the presence of an abandoned cottage. Taking advantage of this brief moment of luck, he dashed into the cottage. As he hid off in a corner, he began his writing anew.
------------------------------------------
There we go. Took a moment or two, but this should do. Now where was I....
Ah, of course. My brief respite was broken by the wailing of the townsfolk, and the pungent aroma of smoke. My eyes crept open and left me gazing at the smoke billowing from the window. Trying my best to reorient myself, I made my way to the window. As I peered outside, I witnessed the tragedy playing out across from me. There was good old Siriq Grahm, a former knight who had served in the Twenty Years War, now trying desperately to save his family from being burned to death. His house crumbled and wavered around him, almost as it were toying with his life and the life of his kin.
Believe me, love, I tried to help him. I dashed toward the door, adrenaline now taking the place of weariness. I crashed against the door, pressing hurriedly against it. But it was of no avail. The door had been barricaded from the other side, forcing me to try alternatives.
As I raced through our little house, I checked every last inch for a sign of you. But my calls fell silent, my hands uncovered nothing. I silently prayed for your safety, and went down to try the back door. Much like its counterpart, it was barricaded from the outside, as were the downstairs windows. I decided to run upstairs once more to at least try and gauge the magnitude of the situation.
The first thing to catch my attention was the brightness of the night, and the smoke accompanying it. This was far beyond accidental causes or even the work of an individual, as the barricades on the burning homes was made known to me. My terror was cut short by the sound of rumbling from the spot next to me.
Yes, there he stood, eyes alight with determination, his mouth twisted into a crazed sneer. "Hand over the book, witch," he crowed, slowly drawing his sword. He drew closer to me every second, the bizarre symbol on his chest becoming visible in the moonlight.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" I cried in desperation. I knew nothing of a book, nor why it was so important to this man. I only knew that the sword in his hand was a probable end to my story, and I tried to keep my distance.
"Then what do you call that?" he sneered, and pointed to our bed.
On the bed's covers lay a strange book, covered with equally strange symbols, though unlike those on the man. They were somewhat familiar to me, something simply etched at my mind. I don't remember having brought it there, either...
He crept up closer, sword fully drawn now. "If you just hand it over, you might make it out of this alive," he said, grinning, The conversation was interrupted by the appearance of flames coming through the window. The man's face turned into an expression of shock. "You fools! I'm still inside!"
"I'm afraid they're not the ones' responsible," said a new voice.
I turned to find myself in the presence of some... unspeakable being. It's eyes burned unlike anything I've ever seen before. Before either I or the man could get our bearings, it struck him down, his story now ended.
I suppose I had more time to react. When it came to do me in, I leaped across the bed, over to where the man's body lay. The demon came upon me, and struck me down. I would've likely stayed down, if the adrenaline in my body weren't keeping me conscious. I felt around, and found the sword the man had been carrying. With what little strength I had left, I drove it into the demon. It gave out a shriek, and began flailing around in surprise and anger. I took this opportunity to run downstairs.
I'm not sure what I'd hope I could accomplish by making it down there, but when I reached the bottom, a trap door lay open in the center of the room. I decided to take my chances, and went down the hole and shut he door behind me.

Will there be more the come? I recall the Order had a public scry in the night via the Moon yelling at someone?

*blink blink* Well, looks like I'm dead. Thanks for the game.
Oh, and I don't trust Murska, ever. So of course I wouldn't claim to him. You are all crazy to do so.
