Very intriguing!
It sounds as though they just sort of threw down any old plant they could find, and only the fittest (as Darwin knew) would survive. I wonder what sorts of critters are around there. I'm sure it's got birds and maybe some turtles. There's bound to be bugs. But I wonder if there's rats, for instance, from the ships or any other sort of mammal or lizard.

That's... pretty amazing all in all. I wouldn't have thought that we hadn't been giving old Charlie enough credit, but it seems we genuinely weren't. Very interesting news.
