Re: The City I - Metropolitan Mayhem (Game Started(Autolynch Replacements accepted))
I'm not going to vote for Ghanz Nmi, since I've already caught up.
So my initial suspicion is caught by this (the, a?) laughing man's scheme to be his own autolynch replacement, he must know something he doesn't!Thanks to Bradakhan for the amazing avatar.

lol, I find your hallucinations too amusing to pass up on and don't really have a particular reason for voting for anyone so....Strategos.

They could be worth investigating... but I'd need more information before changing my point. And before getting that information, I'd need to have a clear head to UNDERSTAND the information.
Also... day... two I think... I got this message:

I'm pretty sure my medication came from a legitimate source.
But whether the hallucination means anything or not... only one way to find out.My avatar! Isn't it just utterly diabolical? Ashen Lilies made it!

I'm willing to go with a drug-induced hallucination. But I'm confused as to how Strategos is a Greek bearing a gift? Am I missing something obvious? Is it because I haven't been paying enough attention?

Re: The City I - Metropolitan Mayhem (Game Started(Autolynch Replacements accepted))
That's fair, but I rankle a little at the same person leading more than one lynching. There are no true innocents here, everyone is out for their own victory. It's hard to accept someone is looking out for my best interest off of no better logic than I popped some pills and saw some groovy message.

Something doesn't feel right Marcie. We need to get to the bottom of this I think. The truth is out there somewhere, there has to be a better way to find it.

Re: The City I - Metropolitan Mayhem (Game Started(Autolynch Replacements accepted))
Day 7 Ends!
The common events of the City usually meant harm to someone, and rarely gain, usually to that someone's enemies. A man getting mugged in the streets, a hostile takeover of a company, an 'example' being made out of someone, someone else's house being lit on fire.
Just like the inspirational activities aimed to get schoolchildren to found their own companies in more peaceful areas, certain people had learned that the misfortune of one is always someone's opportunity. Even the current near-open warfare in the city had just helped these scavengers, seeking to make their living off any carrion they could find.
The streets had always been Strategos's friend. His network of informers and associates all over had helped not only keep him one step ahead of trouble, but also one step behind it, getting off with all the loot. But somehow today it seemed like every dark corridor, every narrow turn was no longer a place to conceal his presence but an enemy seeking to drive him on.
Trusting his instincts like always, he made for his closest companions. But they turned from him, hardly said a word, ignoring his pleas and protests. Not even by calling in his debts could he get what he needed. He realized now, it was a doomed attempt from the start: He had been marked.
Never mind what it was that had finally caused it, he had seen too many people go the same way. There was nowhere to run and nowhere to hide in the City when it was out for your blood. The buildings and streets themselves seemed to turn against their previous occupant, as if the beast that it was had awoken. He chuckled to himself, understanding it was his time now, and bid farewell to the rare locations he liked.
In his favourite spot, on top of a tall tower, he waited for the first one to arrive. He had always liked the feeling he got, looking over the layout of the City from so high. As if by being part of this grandiose whole, which from this far up didn't show it's grime and filth, would elevate him somehow above the rest of Creation. He had spent hours staring over everything, the ants scurrying past down below, and then returned to his miserable life, no longer burdened by thoughts and feelings unsuited for it.
Now he would die here. He heard the door leading to the roof creak open. He didn't turn to look, just laughed out loud as he took the last step down into the abyss. The janitor coming up to check the roof after noticing the door unlocked quickly scurried back inside, shocked.
Down below, a woman high on something passed by his corpse.
The way to make cash is to buy when blood is running the streets. But you must tread carefully to avoid being drowned by the wave.

Marcie pulls up in front of Alyssa's apartment building and parks the van. She sighs and leans over to place a hand on the pretty blonde anchor's knee. There's a lot "not right" going on in this town right now. Just...promise me you won't go out alone, OK? I'm here, whenever you need me. She smiles in what she hopes is a reassuring manner.

Re: The City I - Metropolitan Mayhem (Game Started(Autolynch Replacements accepted))
Sadly, it's likely going to be her last point. After a rather odd msn chat discussion with her in which she avoided any attempt at a discussion of this game, I have concluded that she has been abducted.
Personally, my chief suspect is Gryffon, but if anyone else has proof of a better suspect, please, point it out.
Sadly, I don't have the benefit of a trippy drug to guide me.

Well, if someone happened to see a Gryffon flying around, they'd definitely point at it, suspecting it of being a legendary creature if not an abductor.
Though, drugs would probably have a large part in that scenario.
Did any of that make sense? Tired..."Fear and creativity are conjoined twins."
