Well, this looks like the same problem as Kore might be coming up.

For anybody that doesn't know Kore is a Paladin in the comic goblins and while we've only heard that he's a Paladin from word of mouth, he does things no Paladin can without falling but retains his Paladin status.

He could just be an atheist cleric but I don't know. He hasn't really been explained yet.

And at the same time, one that makes me dread seeing what happens next, to bring home to Lloyd that what they're doing is wrong.

I very much like the fact that no one in the army seems obviously evil (EDIT: okay, except the bald guy with the evil eyebrows, the sadistic smile, and the distaste for books...) It would have been easy to portray the two generals, or the officer corps in general, as sinister, forboding figures. Instead, they look like really nice people. Presumably they are...

One of the hardest things to learn about evil is that it is often done by good people. And it's vital to know that, because it means that even if you like, respect, and trust a person, and know that they have a good heart, you still have to decide for yourself whether the things they do are right or wrong. And be prepared to stand against people you respect, when they're wrong.

I'm not just talking about comic strips when I say that, of course. So a fine choice of title as well, Coffee. I'm impressed.

And yeah, the thing about Kago is that they kinda went off the deep end. But when you get right down to it, there's only you and yourself.

I've always been interested in psychology. This was an easy title to decide on.

Anyhow, this flashback is looking good. Lloyd's closing comments in this strip were especially good. I can imagine him putting a lot of emotion into his words.

There exist a rule of thumb/statistics law attribute to a guy named Murphy

Murphy's law as said by Murphy himself:" If there are multiple ways to do something and one of them results in catastrophe* someone will do it that way."

The one everybody think it is (Finagle's law): If something can go wrong, it will.
