Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Well, I think Tydude has satisfied me for the moment, and thus would prefer to look at one of the quiet types.
VA_Beds seems to have only made a single post, and that a relatively non-substantive vote post.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Hmm. I have to admit I was surprised when the day ended instantly after the ninth vote. But that's probably because of all the games I'm in right now, I can't quite remember all the rules at once.
Anyway... Vote analysis is pretty difficult when you can't know if you're killing bad guys or not.
Mordokai's late point at Ina made me raise an eyebrow.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Yeah, trying to work things out is tricky, it's one good reason NOT to do what Tydude did. I'd suggest aiming for lynch-2 for pressure.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
I'm still somewhat suspicious of Tydude but I doubt right now even if we put pressure on him he would say anything different.
For now I'll join Sotek and vote for VA_Beds.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Well, I missed the part about the day ending when a majority was reached, but apparently Tydude didn't, and I'm less inclined to believe his claim that he knew what the majority meant but didn't know he was making one.
With regard to general strategy, does the Judge need to reveal himself to lynch in the case of no majority? If he doesn't, I think we could get a lot more pressure on people by pointing unofficially and letting the Judge kill people at the end of the day.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Very well, let's try this. I'll vote VA_Beds just for safety. (Though I'll change that if someone else votes Mordokai. That was a little odd) However let's not lynch anybody, and then see what the judge does. Unless anybody has anything to say on that.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
We don't know that the judge is alive. I believe he does not need to reveal to use his power, but if dizzylover55 or Ghanz Nmi were the Judge, a no-lynch would be only to the advantage of the witches.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
In that case, maybe we could set up some "finalization point" or something, like twelve hours before the day ends, when everybody stops making unofficial points and makes an official one.
I think that would avoid the whole miscounting problem, and someone with fourteen unofficial points is probably more likely to roleclaim than someone with six official ones.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
That's a good idea. I'll throw an unofficial point at Mordokai. That vote yesterday was pretty strange.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
I don't know how much some people are going to care about non-vote suspicions, but if it'll work, that's cool, I'll help tally them.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Is that a vote or just a point? Seeing as votes have been mostly just the guy's name in red text... yeah. Maybe use blue for pointing, as was done before?

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Why would you want to make a third wagon instead of one of the two there were at the time? Especially with a reason of "make a wagon"?

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
You little creep. Is there anybody I could have voted for at that point that would not make me look suspicious? Or are you actually hell bent on just seeing me dead for no good reason whatsoever?
Murska, just for his reasons being sketchy as hell if nothing else. I'd say more, if I weren't off to work.Adrie, half elven bard. Drawing by Vulion, avatar by CheesePirate. Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Seems pretty clearly pro-town to me, I dunno. I think the only people who gain from obfuscating town conversation or cutting it short by lynching randomly are the witches.

And we're getting a bit close to numbers I'd think are a little worrying, so maybe people should not pile onto Mordokai for a while?

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Personally, I find the behaviour to be borderline if not outright wolfish. In a game where no roles are revealed, I've always found by keeping a running tally, people are less likely to lynch you. If you're a witch then you can't get night killed either - no night kill + no lynch = immunity and thus a viable wolf tactic if youre willing to take the risk.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Oh, and ninjaed by a ... bad response from Mordokai.
Well, I'm going to unvote for now since no point muddying up the vote tally with a vote that clearly isn't going anywhere atm, and Mordokai is too high for me to be comfortable adding a vote until he says more or makes a few more dubious posts.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Eh. I've kept a tally in every forum game of Witchhunt I've been in, including the lightning-quick one that took about two hours total. Admittedly, I did it in the first game I was in to try to bait nightkills as I was a defensive role, but since then it's just become something I do. I'm pretty sure everyone who's seen me play would assume I was a witch and instantly lynch me if I stopped keeping tallies.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
That's my whole reason for being, really
Well, not the make a wagon bit, the whole tying up wagons and helping make a third(or fourth or fifth). Really, just look at my behavior in WW the last couple years
That Mordokai is now in the lead, fairly well, is rather suspicious though.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
Sotek, you're probably unaware of this forum's rich history of killing people who make in-game lists of any kind. I think they do it because it worked the first time.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 (WW Variant)
But you just admitted that you're doing this in fear of been lynched by anyone who's seen you play before because they'd lynch you if you didn't keep a record. Therefore you admitted that this is something you'd be doing whether or not you're part of the town.
In other words, you're doing it as a necessity not as a benefit to the town so if in the future a bandwagon comes up against you, you cannot use the I'm keeping a record of votes therefore I'm pro town as part of your defence
