No, it won't make it harder to move around. In fact, at the cost of a little of the extra strength, I can make it much more flexible. I can also make it fireproof, electricproof, coldproof, you name it. Again at the cost of a little bit of the strength. Oh, and I can make it so that no Denimancer, even myself, can control it.

"And...you'll just do this for me? I mean, I know people who would charge for that kind of service. I wouldn't feel right unless I gave you something in return."

Oh, it's not that hard really, and I figure that it's the least I could do after teasing you earlier. But, if you really want to pay me back, I do have one request. Let me teach you. I can feel the spark in you, and if you would like, I can teach you to do the things that I do.

Riace makes a note on his pad of sketching paper. 'Positive'

You know, I knew when I put Kris in the Nexus she would learn abilities beyond that which she knew in her original game. Magic and mayhem running rampant and whatnot.

...I never thought one of those would be the ability to control pants. ))

((And Recaiden has a point. Next time, you should ask me in a PM if I want Kris to have the spark of Pants Powers. Generally, if it is something that would change a character in any way, you should either be discreet about it or ask first.))

Well, sort of. If you would like. I'm not much of a teacher, but I'm the only one qualified to teach this. It is entirely up to you. As I said, if you leave it alone, your power will not manifest, and if you choose not to learn, I will not bring it up again.

((It's alright, Rae. You're still figuring this out. ^^; Just remember that even if a character is getting something good out of what you do, or even if what you do is pretty much guaranteed to work, you shouldn't just post it assuming it will. Ask the player first or else post it in an ambiguous way if you can.))

How can I tell that you have the spark? That is... hard to explain. I guess I can just feel a... sameness in our energies. And you don't have to answer me now, take your time, I won't be leaving this dimension unwillingly for at least another year, as far as I can tell.

(Thanks for the advice Trobby. Before this, my only real FFRP experience was ABR, and while it's pretty close to this, they are a little more lenient on having other characters do things.)

"Another universe you say? Would you mind tellings me how you got here?"

Kris turns her head, then tilts her head in confusion.

"Maybe...but first of all, where did YOU come from?"

[Recaiden]

"I came from over there." Riace points along the bar. We're all very amused.
"No, originally, I came from another planet, but we thought it was the same universe as this one."

[Trobby]

"Ah...I see..well as a fellow visitor from another planet, let me introduce myself. I'm Krissy K'rishian Kristen. Kris for short. What's your name?"

[Rae Artemi]

Well, you may be right, you may not have the spark, I was wrong once before, but you do feel of it. And I assure you, if I were to teach you, the privilege would be mine.

Rae looks at the newcomer.

And as for how I know this is a different universe, or dimension, or whatever, I assure you, if this were the same galaxy, or even universe, as the one I was in last, someone would have been able to point me towards Avbaroy.

[Recaiden]

"I'm Riace Bendetsan. Though I imagine they'll try to give me another name or something. It's a pleasure to meet you."

[Rae Artemi]

Well, I've been here for... twelve minutes, and I haven't had to change my name, I think you'll be okay. My name's Rae, by the way.

[Trobby]

"Well it's nice to meet you, Rice and Ray."

Don't tempt fate in the Nexus. He's always waiting for an opportunity.

"Anyway, I got here through a dimension hop. It was a little sad when Sue and I parted ways, but we both agreed that it was a wonderful opportunity for me to see the Universe, so I couldn't resist."

[Recaiden]

"No, no. Never mind it. I've been here for months, but they can try and get your name any time, you know."
He frowns a bit at the mispronunciation and shrugs.
"Who was Sue?"

Wait, but I already introduced myself to you. I mean, you were right there when I told Reinholdt my name, and I was trying to introduce myself to both of you. Remember? I even gave my middle initial.

And as to how I got here. I'm not sure, it seems like every few years, starting about fifteen years ago, a portal opens up and sends me somewhere. Sometimes it's in the same universe, sometimes it's not. On two occasions, it dragged a friend through with me.

[Trobby]

"Sue is a friend of mine from my old universe. A witch. He's pretty much the best friend I ever had. Though he was starting to settle down when I left, so we had to part ways. I still wish I could send a message back to him though..."

She seems totally oblivious of having mispronounced any names, giving Rae a tilted head look.

"Yeah, I did. Isn't your name Rayner?"

[Recaiden]

"There's always things we wish we could have done. But the way forward is here, isn't it now?"

Listen, K'rishian, my name is pronounced Raenir, not Rayner. Little things like this bug me. I know you may not be doing it on purpose, but if you are, how about a deal. If you pronounce my name right, I will tell you my middle name.

(If you accept, you will be the third person on this forum to be aware of Rae's middle name, and the first that I don't go to school with. )

"Oh, that's a common problem, is it? Mine, Kris dear, would be Riace, not rice. That's just a delicious foreign grain-crop."

"Ah...yeah, It's sort of a running thing with me." Kris admits awkwardly. "Sorry Rae, Riace.

[Reinholdt]

"... You people realizing you were just talking about an innate ability to control PANTS, don't you? You humanoids and your hormones."
Reinholdt is disgusted! Disgusted I say! And at one time he would be secretly jealous, but that was before Tanker, so now he's just disgusted.

Kris is totally ignoring the innuendo of being able to control pants. Mostly because she's wearing said pants of controllability at this very moment.
