(They are hard to explain. It's really just that while Len is asleep, he creates an illusion-like replica of himself that can act independently of his body, but for the purposes of this conversation, it is pretty much just an illusion.)

Riv walks over to Len's unconcious form and dumps the contents of the bottle on him. You have half a second to get up. Riv says, lighting a match.

Ermine points accusingly at Riv and rummages around in her hat. She pulls out some lighter fluid and tosses it to him.

"Use dis instead. Nice firestarter, dis stuff."

[Trobby]

Ack! Is he still in there?!

"Yes Le-Oh gesus F-"

He raises his gun, ***** the lever back two notches, and points it at the offending Lenivores.

"You two'd best be getting away from the boy, or else you'll find yourself having a brand new hole in a place you didn't before."

Rv pours on the lighter fluid as well and drops tye match on Len. (It is worth noting that the alcohol was actually BOOZE, the only 1,000% proof substance man has ever invented)

Ermine glances over Captain Tobias, sizing the wolfman up. She is a hat-wearing ermine at the moment.

"Well, 'ello there doggeh. What's yer name?"

She winks. It is rather frightening.

"Warned you."

With his free hand, he goes to shove the ermine away, having utterly ignored the talking badger at the moment, and fires his gun at the creature trying to light Len on fire.

As we have described before, but it is worth describing now again that it is being used, Tobias's gun has three different modes of fire, based on how far back the hammer of his gun is pulled. First locked position is a typical shot, just a bullet being propelled through the air.

The second locked position, which Tobias has pulled the hammer into at the moment, gives it a slightly more impressive effect. When the trigger is pulled, magical energy coalesces behind the pellet, and as the energy builds, it seeks out the nearest focus for energy that it can find. The round metal ball, being a perfect focus, takes the energy in at an incredibly rapid pace.

The rapid energy intake propels the projectile, much faster than any regular shot, even faster than most modern day rifles could manage. And it achieves quite a momentum, and quite the magical kick as well.

The effect is something akin to sending a tiny metal fragment flying at nearly the speed of sound straight out of the barrel, augmented by the magical energies creating the force. It has been known to travel through a wall of solid steel and kill a man on the other side. It is...quite potent.

Ermine is shoved, and comically goes head over heels to land underneath her oversized hat. She peeks out from under it to see what happens and wolf-whistles.

"Wow. Where can I git me one of dem guns?"

You're very lucky she can't read the badger comment. That's worse than ferret.

The bullet cuts Riv's skull like a knife through butter, killing him instantly, and he crumples to the floor. It does not however stops the match, which hits the floor and ignites the pool of BOOZE and lighter fluid, sending flames speeding towards poor Len!

Val, taken completely by surprise, gasps, and dives for Len to tackle him out of the way of the fire!

Suddenly a barrage of bullets appear out of thin air, one aimed at Val, the others aimed so that Val will strike them if she tries to push Len out of the way!

[Trobby]

"VAL!" Tobias screams, as he tries to stop her from getting hit, but it will be far, far too late..

More importantly, you did just pour a tank of kerosene onto a wooden floor and light it on fire.

Or rather, it and the counter top on fire.

And the tables...and..

Oh thank GOD Trog's Tavern is up to code...but all the NPCs are now evacuating the building.

Val, thankfully, is wearing a flack jacket s part of her uniform!
Although she does get hit in the leg once or twice...

Riv appears in a hurst of light, holding a revolver hooked up to what appears to be a enormous battery he wears as a backpack. Oh great, just great,I was looking forward to getting drunk again! He yells.

"...F-"

Tobias swings his flintlock around in a circle, loading another bullet into the chamber, ***** it halfway back again, and fires, all while moving himself towards Val and Len.

Even if he cannot get the shot off, he will try to lift them both, with considerably difficult, over the bar and onto the other side. Which, hopefully, even with a shot leg, Val can help him out with.

Otherwise they are going to be filled with a multitude of holes VERY soon...

The door is kicked open. Ya know, as per usual. A rather small young woman carrying enough weaponry to invade a small country shuffles in, looks around at the bar, and nods with approval. She hops up onto a stool, orders a beer, and sighs happily.

Riv lifts his gun with lightning speed, aiming and firing six times at the spot Val was in just seconds ago, but no bullets are fired, the gun only lights up for a second before going dark. Tobias's bullet hits Riv dead on, slicing through his chest like a knife through butter, but this time he does not fall, instead he aims again this time at Tobias, and before he even pulls the trigger a bullet appears out of thin air in front of rhe gun, hurtling at Tobias!

Chris nods his head upwards in acceptance. "Hey there. How are you doin'?"

Tobias, not ready for a man who can bend the laws of death and gunnery, and still trying to get both Len and Val behind cover, takes a shot or two in his backside, his shoulder pierced by one bullet, a shot tearing through the lower part of his body with another.

Blood starts gushing out of his wounds, soaked by his leather coat, but quickly overflowing and staining it, dripping onto the wet surface of the bar as he tries to roll himself over to the other side.

The pain of landing on two bullet wounds will be something he can handle. The pain of several more, probably not so much.

The woman smiles a little. Great. Haven't had real beer in... she leans back a little, stares at the ceiling for a moment. Altogether to long. Contemplative sip. Uh, I hate to sound ignorant, but where am I?

Chris smiles at her. "Don't worry about sounding ignorant. I'm kinda ignorant myself. As for location, you are in The Nexus. More specifically, Trog's Tavern." Chris sips his glass.
