They're usually not that big, and a larger one...could be possible, but it'd stop many more from being made.

Though I imagine the usual issue of having only part of you go through the portal applies. Whoops, there goes your heart because you stepped through a too-small portal.

Okay, so I can't find a good video/image. <.<; Just imagine the sky turning dark, shades of purple filling the skyline, as a hole the size of a city block opens up, and out of that hole comes a cube. It crackles on the surface with electricity, stretching from the sky down to the street below, planting itself over the entire block, high enough to cover every building in its influence, trapping everyone within inside the Game.

So...at least the size of a city block, maybe more depending on the size of the game itself. They're MASSIVE.

I suspect BR is getting overwhelmed by the sheet number of encounters at GLoG that require Quinn's presence. But I'm not sure how to fix it.

I know IC Quinn wants Happy to become president again, but for IC reasons, Happy won't accept the job, and for OOC reasons, there's no way I could handle all of the 'we need to speak to the person in charge' encounters at GLoG either.

Possible solutions:

• BR gives people limited permission to godmod Quinn for administrative duties only. (Cons: Requires a lot of trust on BR's part and good faith on the part of other players. Probably would feel very uncomfortable for Firefox to have random people roleplaying his character's wife.)
  
• An NPC president of GLoG is created that anyone can play. (Cons: Requires some agreement ahead of time about the personality / powers / etc of the person. People tend not to jump in and play npcs even when permission is given (ex: Crissy, Nurse Piper))
  
• Someone else volunteers to be the president who has plenty of roleplay time plus interest in the position. (Cons: High burnout rate, even among players who thought they wanted the job.)
  
• Some kind of council / triumvirate of leaders played by different people, any of whom can make decisions. (Cons: Needs volunteers for those positions.)
  
• Something else (Cons: Kind of vague and hard to implement without details. )

Thoughts? Ideas?

(BR, feel free to tell me I'm wrong if you want things to go on as they have. I don't think anyone has any problem with that if you don't.)

Well, it does get a little overloaded at times, but mostly it's more my apathy/lack of time than anything else. However, Quinn wants nothing more than to dump the mantle of leadership on somebody else.

...as for that, well, a Triumvirate, as proposed once before, would make the most sense, I'd think.
