As for him just telling Janine he's homosexual.... BAD IDEA!!!! She'd go PSYCHO. I'm betting she'd:
1) Think he's lying just to avoid her, and thus feel more self-conscious and become more aggressive in her attempts to woo/seduce/rape him
2) Argue with him that he's "confused" or try to "prove" that he's Bisexual.
3) Try to "fix" him.
4) An unholy combination of all of the above.

My bet would be on 4.

Well, Coffee says he didn't tell them as much about his life as we saw in the flashback. But even if he did...then what he just told them is "I used to fight for a proto-fascist nation, and I participated in the murder of civilians. Including the brother of that freaked-out woman standing right here. And oh, yeah, I miss my boyfriend."

If their big reaction is "What? You're gay?" then I'll be disappointed in them.

Well, all right, Matt might react that way, because Matt has spent a lifetime honing his ability to miss the point of anything. Janine might...but I hope not. Yes, she'll be disappointed to have her obsession thwarted, but she's gotta realize that it's more important to decide where she thinks Astrid stands on the whole murder thing. Tinder should damn well have something to say about slaughtering whole families. And Radic and Serrin are smart enough that they ought to be more concerned about the Drow merchant than about Lloyd right now. Yeah, he's their friend -- and will remain so, I'm certain -- but she's facing the guy who murdered her family; her trauma takes priority over his angst.
