I could post breakdancing pictures all day, but I don't think it would be funny any more so let's just drop the whole color argument.

I've known you guys and the more complicated model were right from the start.

SO GOBLINS. Something doesn't jibe right with me about the perspective in this page. Thunt has always had perspective problems but it seems to sort of stand out on the faces here.

Most of the character faces look fine, it's panel 3 that looks wonky to me. The wallfaces look strangely flat, and I don't think they're quite properly aligned with the perspective of the rest of the room.

They're trying to cross a large chasm using the poles. The catch is that, when certain poles are touched, others go in or out of the wall. They guessed (or know) that what poles react depends on color, so they are trying to figure out which colors correspond to each other.

Oh... And couldn't they just have Klik mess with the candles until they have a workable path? I mean... Klik can fly...

Seems to me blowing out the candle is what makes other poles go in or out of the wall.

Because it could only walk on the red part at that point -- it couldn't possibly get to Dies and co.

Edit: I am seeing some perspective errors, actually. Look at some of the poles jutting out from the left side compared to the ones from the right side. The second-from-the-top, which is coming from the left, is three masks from the wall and appears bigger than (or at best, equal size to) the one Dies is on, which is like seven or eight masks from the wall.

IMO those mask are fairly flat, so that nobody would try to climb the walls.

You know you can go back and check, right? You don't have to go off memory. It's always there. 24/7.

The first two panels demonstrate that he's looking directly at the candle as he says "I'll try this one", and then there's a blowing visual effect, and a blowing sound effect, and the candle goes out, and then poles retract into the wall.

He's clearly interacting with the candle. He's just holding on to the poles to get into position.

Well it doesent really show a blown-out candle. And the blowing-effect is really small, so i thought he was just grunting while pulling/pushing the pole with his left arm.

OK, I'm officially confused. I was assuming -- from the perspective of panel 3 from the comic before this one -- that they were trying to travel from the dark hallway in the background, to somewhere behind the 'camera'.

Now I don't know where they came from. Above?

Nope, you're right. They're travelling down a hallway. The floor Dies is lying on is pitch black, and that thing is hiding inside it.

    EDIT:
Nevermind, just noticed Dies caused a leak. The floor is glass over a water tank that's pitch black.

Yes, but I figured that if they came from that hallway, they'd have noticed Mr. Fingers at some point. Unless he's only called when someone breaches the glass.

Also, that Dies says "I'm so glad that's over," -- though admittedly it's not totally clear whether he's talking about the pole-jumping (lololol) or the platform-with-chains room, given that the others are having a conversation about it. I think it refers to the pole-jumping, myself.

It just seems like they're all facing the wrong way if their destination is the black hallway Dies just got to. Hence my confusion. I have no idea if they came from or are going towards that hallway, and either way, where did they come from/are they going?

Linker, I think there are black ledges on opposite sides of the chamber. The floor drops away in the middle so that the only way across is by jumping from pole to pole.

By matching up the masks between this update and the last, Dies has clearly landed on the same platform we see behind him previously. We haven't seen what's on the opposite side of the trench yet. The masks seem to go down a long way and disappear into darkness, so it may be less of a trench and more of a chimney, where you start at the bottom and try to climb to the top. There might not BE another side to it.
