Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire, Mk. XXXIII: DeeganBallZ
I think he just meant that only his mind was in the plane while his body was back at his house. Though I don't know why he would call his body a "physical projection," because nothing is being projected. And I also don't know how he could get hit by things if it's just his mind that's there.

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire, Mk. XXXIII: DeeganBallZ
Elementary, my dear Domochevsky. Domi made a projection of himself that went into PoD. Then when the fighting began, he yanked its brain out and threw it some distance away to get it away from the danger zone. Not being a jock, he didn't care about what happened to his body. Unfortunately, the spinal cord didn't tear cleanly so the brain was yoinked back (like yo-yo) into his body-projection and felt all the Pain Crabby gave him. But it's OK! Domi loves pain. When he gets back to hi real-world body he will get neck pains and wouldn't be able to look Luna in the eyes when they're married.

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire, Mk. XXXIII: DeeganBallZ
So, part of the plan is that Snuggly can't reform in the plane of destruction? Because that would count as creating, and as such would summon the Lobster Police? Is that too coherent for the comic?
This isn't the end of snuggly is it? Can it be?

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire, Mk. XXXIII: DeeganBallZ
I guess he had to make some sort of partial physical projection of himself in order to do the magic to create the teddy bear?
Basically, it's one of these occasions where several strips must be spent explaining the 'I Win' button after it has been pushed."'But there's still such a lot to be done...'

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire, Mk. XXXIII: DeeganBallZ
It's true, isn't it?
There's no tension, the "reveal" didn't have any set-up or make any sense, and the art is bland. At the end of the week we all know Dominic will be no worse for wear and Snuggly won't actually be dead. Who cares what tomorrow's update brings? All that matters is the Monday & Friday strip.Lead Designer for Oracle Hunter GamesToday a Blog, Tomorrow a Business!

Nah, if it was from Beyond the 4th Wall it would've committed seppuku or taken out more of the comic. It was probably from Just Past Thunderdome.

Why. Why must there be 3 of them. I spent all my explosives on the first one, and it's 3 civilian-zombie-chrissalid minions. Why must there be 2 others? I can't escape back to the Skyranger fast enough.
Why.

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire, Mk. XXXIII: DeeganBallZ
Easy enough:
He's an evil enchantress (Dance Puppets, DANCE!)
And he does evil dances (Michael Jackson Dominic)
And if you look into his eyes (See the Truth)
He'll put you in trances (Mavpel Dominic)
And what will he do? (Dominic thinking)
He'll mix up an evil brew (Dominic casting)
And gobble you in a big tasty stew (Hob-goblin cooking pot)
So.... watch out. (Evil dominic)Avatar by Glasswhistle

Wow. An offhand mention of one alien race seems to have traumatized the half of the thread that isn't high on ponies.
The obvious answer is more ponies!

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire, Mk. XXXIII: DeeganBallZ
Oh, come on, can't we just get beyond Thunderdome by now?
As for yesterday's comic, seeing as I was so zonked on antiviral medication I didn't get to comment on it...huh?
I'm fairly sure that using astral projection doesn't mean your body is, in kind, a "physical projection". Then again, we don't know much about how magic works inCloudcuckoolandDominion.Last edited by Rappy; 2011-02-21 at 09:08 PM.
