EDIT: Oh, one request; Benson, could you post the uncoloured versions of those pony sketches you did when you have them scanned? Untangling the reason behind this request is oddly convoluted but it boils down to 'I think sketches are cool sometimes'.

As a side note, I'm thinking I may just play the dragon egg myself so that that plotline can get back to creeping along, despite my dislike of playing both the problem and a plausible solution at the same time without a system for deciding it. I'm still waiting to hear about whether or not there's an oven or chimney or something, too.

...I'm not entirely sure how useful Foxglove would be against the nameless pony. On the one hand, Foxglove isn't a fighter. On the other hand, Foxglove does find strange depths of self when animals are involved, and her line between 'imaginative but messed up' and 'absolutely bonkers' is pretty thin. I'm either imagining either shrinking in fear and misery, or some sort of feral rage that devolves quickly into kicking, stabbing, and biting, probably not very effectively. But plan 3, psychotic break that involves some sort of lunatic plan, is also pretty reasonable from her. The odds of it mattering are pretty slim, though.

Well, I use the native Windows Paint program. I take the messy sketch, make the lines several times thicker, and then use a specific tool that allows you to draw clean lines, then drag them to form curves. I forget the name of the tool, but the icon is a squiggly line. I use this tool to create the outline in some color, then I go back into GIMP or some such program and use the magic wand and the eraser tools to clear away the old line, thus leaving the new clean line, which I proceed to recolor using the color tools.

Also, not quite out of deadtime, Ill be on sporadically for a couple of hours before getting back on for realz.

I'm generally pretty well known here on FFRP for setting up encounters that anyone can take part in regardless of their PC's actual skills. I like to nudging things around based on who and what I'm working with.

Like it says in mah signature, the point is to make an awesome scene, not to win.

Keep in mind that the nameless pony is not truly malicious. It's curious and inquisitive and hungry. Mostly hungry. And nomming stuff is the only way it knows of so far to explore things. Maybe it could be taught something new? Maybe it just really needs a friend?

@Everypony with Silvermane: So, I'm thinking Silvermane will want to split up into two groups, to cover more ground and rescue more animals faster. What do you guys think about the groups?

Normally I would be happy to pair off with Whitefire, but Silvermane will want at least one person she knows to be competent on each team (no offense, Snickers and Foxtrot ;p). So that means either Silvermane with Snickers and Whitefire with Foxtrot, or Silvermane with Foxtrot and Whitefire with Snickers. What do you guys think?

On the one hoof, option A seems more in-character. But on the other hoof, option B could lead to some interesting character development.

In addition to telekinesis and very, very minor healing (like, Cure Minor Wounds), her talent grants her animal empathy, both for soothing frightened animals and sensing an animal's condition (though she can usually do that without magic, so ...).

Yes, when I forgot that Silvermane was a unicorn (I must have been derpin') when I was drawing her last night and had inked it, fixed it today in photoshop after I had scanned it...and the wings were pertyful too :C.........^_^0

Kyuubi informs me that Deme is willing to take up the dragon personally, so I will allow this. <.<; I'm not the fastest poster by any means, and I'd hate to leave the poor dragon in the dust.

Oh, no, please do. My taking it up was more of an exasperated "Well, if no one else is, it's going to have to get done somehow..." sort of thing than a legitimate desire. Please, feel free: it's a relief, since I dislike talking to myself or advancing plots to myself.

And, yes, clearly naming ideas are going to have to get thrown around. The little Foxglove who lives in my head in-between posts looked so very perky at the idea, and anytime Foxglove is perky and wierd instead of vaguely melancholic and wierd is a good time for me.

...Also, if two of our resident ponies have animal empathy as a special, we clearly need a wider variety of animals needing special care to make it worthwhile. This shall be added to the plot list.

Both are good ideas and I can work with either. I know "No preference" is the boring answer, but it's the one I've got when both options are completely solid.
