A blue screen pops up. Vincent chooses equip. Is relieved to see his stuff still there. He starts putting his equipment back on, enjoying the numbers rising.

And his physics defying massive compensating sword returning to his hand.

Despite head being shaved, hair sproings back into place.

Kirk's wanderings have brought him to the underhive. He wanders among the squalor, at a loss for what he should do next. Worse yet, he's beginning to crave a drink. Withdrawal tends to be an uncomfortable experience.

His attention is abruptly torn toward a large man walking down the street. More specifically, to the breastplate he wears. Was it? It couldn't be? Yes, it is. The drow quickly gets out of sight and finds a good vantage point.

The man is quite large and muscular. Save for the breastplate, all he wears is some raggedy old trousers. He looks worn and world weary. He turns into a mostly empty alley.

Kirk is quick to follow, silently as only a drow can be. Without thought, without hesitation. Kirk draws a knife and jams it into the back of the man's head all in one smooth motion.

He drops like a rock and Kirk sets about removing the breastplate before anyone can wander by. The drow picks up the piece of armour and sprints away from the corpse.

Connor doges the pillow but ends up falling on the floor.

Crissy can't help but giggle at Connor, her worry completely forgotten in her amusement.

"No, they were just... weird. And they couldn't speak English." Becca walks along at a quick pace. "It just makes things easier when you can talk to people and they don't have a creepy stare."

"Common," Mikani corrects Becca on the language. "And...creepy stares? Are we talking creepy-creepy or want-to-eat-your-soul creepy here?"

"Just creepy creepy... I hope." They hadn't tried to eat her soul the last time she was there at least. "Common? Well, whatever. They didn't say anything actually, but they understood me just fine. It was weird."

Omid, the Arabian-looking Janni cleric, leaves to fetch Gertrude's body. He'll be back next post; the body is on standby in the New Temple.

Boris looks somewhat surprised. "Plastic's a type of material that's used for a lot of different purposes." He dismounts from the horse, saying, "They usually let you try on what you want to buy, to see if it fits."

"Sounds arright, then." Cornelia still sounds skeptical. The gunslinger pushes the door open, entering the generic store and having a look around. Racks and rows of clothes for all shapes and sizes. Given it's the Nexus, there's gonna be a lot of shapes and sizes. "Oh. Well that makes more sense."

Boris enters the very unremarkable store, examining the plentiful clothing. "I would think so. It's not quite as personal as a tailor, but I find such stores more convenient." He starts looking for something meant for humans to wear.

Streets

Several streetlights explode, and a patch of sidewalk ignites in blue-yellow flames. When the fire fades away, left behind is a glowing scroll of parchment. Someone should probably pick it up.

Dipsnig's ears perk up. Vincent, killing not for XP? That's serious. Oh? And who would that unlucky someone be?

"That Doctor Struffelburger guy!" Duh.

"I, unlike my half-sister, harbor no ill feelings towards my father. He did not abandon me. Indeed, I had no reason to expect he would have any hand in raising me." Sornnolu explains patiently. "No, I am here to forge an alliance between my House and the ruling elements of this city. You are one of those elements, my lord, and I have come to you to offer whatever assistance I can."

He raises an eyebrow.

"Well I'm afraid I don't have any particular need for a wizardly sort or a diplomat at the present time, so beyond the occasional word of unsolicited advice or ideas as to where I could put my den of sin and vice, I don't know how much assistance you could be."

Magtok takes off some blood-spattered gloves, nods to the two, and then steps aside.

"There's not much left of the Island of Misfit Ploys unfortunately, as I kinda blew it up for revenge, after being taken there as a patient. A strange man with connections to the project named Boris, who was last seen in Riverside, could probably help, with some coaxing. As could the good doctor himself, who I think ran away to GLoG after the place was demolished."

He tries to repress the urge to grin or hold a quest exclamation point over his head as he says all of that, setting up all the right hooks so Vinny can do all the dirty investigatory work whilst Magtok deals with more important matters.

"Aye. Maybe." The gunslinger follows him to the presumably large humanoid section, sifting through the clothes. Disapproval colors her face. Still, she seems impressed by the quality, and rather indecisive. She'll likely be a while, picking out dresses and plenty of other things.

"Really? Great! Thanks Doctor Disco. Thanks Boss." It's time to go murdalize someone! Although it'd be boring to have my own character go traveling down the Boris plot road, so GLoG is the destination!

Vincent starts to head for the door. He pauses though.
"Oh. If you ever need anything, like some sort of dancing dentistry mini-game or something, let me know and I'll do what I can."

Kaesar strolls through the door, as it's about time to pick up his magical coat. Plus, there is no way he's going on this mission without looking his absolute best.

Boris doesn't take very long to make decisions, mostly because he dislikes the majority of what is available. He settles on clothes that look very plain.

This time the body is Gertrude- it's the right height (Gertrude was over 6ft tall; Narahar just under) and is female, and has her face. There is no trickery here; the only other corpse the Cult of Dalachrech has in storage is a gnome, standing about half the height of Gertrude.

Kaesar strolls through the door, as it's about time to pick up his magical coat. Plus, there is no way he's going on this mission without looking his absolute best.

Hanging from a coat rack that wasn't there the last time Kaesar entered the building is his coat, held in stasis by what appears to be free floating magical runes. perhaps meant to ward off insects? Anyways, the door had the same runes on them, and on the table is a note, propped up using magic, that says:

"I apologize for being unable to be present today. 
The finished works should be easy enough to find for their intended recipients, and protected against those not meant to take them. 
If you cannot find your enchanted or repaired item, please contact me at Remnant HQ

It seems Azik completed the coat and has gone elsewhere. Considering Kaesar already knows how the enchantments work and already paid for it, there should be no problem with him simply pulling his coat out of the protective magic and leaving

Hoping the wards won't fry him, Kaesar reaches out and attempts to take his coat from the hanger. If this works, he will continue on his way.

At Kaesar's touch, the wards on his jacket fizzle, allowing him to take it safely and without incident out of the shop.

Underhive- Streets

Strolling towards Magtok and his drow companion is Kaesar, now clad in his favorite green and blue ringmaster's coat, a rather impressively enchanted piece of apparel. He waves to both as he approaches, grinning merrily. This casino thing sounds fun. So, you would be Magtok, right?

Mikani giggles and gives Oddball a pat. And a ride, scooping the little Oddish up in her arms with a happy smile as they follow Becca.

Eventually Becca leads them to a red roofed building that I feel needs no description. It's quite a bit bigger than the average pokemon center. "This is the main pokemon center for the entire Nexus." Becca explains. He time off screen was well spent. She heads inside, and assuming the other follow they will be greeted by this sight.

Becca marches right up to the front desk and presents her trainer card to the tiefling woman on the left. on the right is a goblin woman and they both have identical outfits.

"Hello, and welcome to the Pokemon Center. Ah, from off dimension are you?" The nurse comments after looking at the card. "Let me heal your pokemon right up."

Becca nods and hands over the ball. "Thanks." The tiefling takes the ball and puts it into the machine. It whirs to life and Becca turns to Jamie. "Think Oddball needs some healing?"

Jamie de-transforms before entering the building, the less confusion to be caused.

She looks around in wonderment, smiling to the nurses and going to place Oddball up on the counter, gently petting the Oddish. "Um...well, I dunno. Can't be too careful, I guess?"
