The Town of Bridle Shores

Far to the west of Canterlot, further still even from Ponyville, a quiet little town is quickly springing up near a large lake.

This is Bridle Shores, situated along a large lake with a natural beach. Not far from town is Mt. Trotia, with a waterfall that feeds into the lake. The town is surrounded by a lush forest which the ponies of the town both use and nurture with delicate balance, there are some ponies that call the forest home as well.

A small business district has started to grow, with a Bakery, Dress shop, Grill, Greenhouse, Dojo, Saw mill, Snow Cone Stand, Dance Academy, and even a Soda Bar popping up for the citizens of the town. They are also experimenting with new technology such as Floppy Disk’s computer shack or the Doctor's friendship harnessing lab. In addition, there's a Farm and a Wizard's Tower on the outskirts of the town.

Much of the forest is quiet and peaceful, but deeper within the forest lurks creatures far more dangerous…

Purple giggles before sipping some tea. "Oh but he hates group hugs."

"Uncle Beans soured him on them pretty good." Chily snorts. She spins out of Peppermint's twirl and bows.

The daughter finishesher drink and hands it off to the snake. She then carefully looks at her parents. "So, should they take the rest of the potion like Gwnfillions said? Are there any more prescriptions that need to be filled for these two?"

"They didn't finish it the first time? Hm. No wonder I had to do so much borrowing... To be on the safe side, I'd think so. I'd also reccomend some iron and calcium suppliments -- their bodies just regrew a lot of bone, and that takes a lot of nutrients."

"You're right...and...you're also right about that I just probably needed somepony to lend an ear, while I can't say I feel really better...I don't feel worse," Fox took a quick breath and remained silent for a moment.

"Thank you Miss Icy Touch."

Icy felt her cheeks reddening again at the compliment. The hay was wrong with her today? This was happening entirely too often around him.

"My pleasure Fox. After all you did for me... this is the least I could do to repay the favour," she replied firmly.

"Well then, this is where I suppose I'll take my leave then. Miss Icy Touch, ignoring the melodrama I induced, I still had a lovely time with you. Thank-you for accepting my original invitation for coffee," The mocha stallion gave her a gentlecolt's bow though he seemed hesitant on giving her the gentlecolt's kiss on her hoof, lest she take it the wrong way.

"Thank-you," And with that Fox Trot left the Civic Center feeling weird about this whole encounter, a sorta good kind of weird. But alas...he had important things to occupy his mind and distract him.

Snow Flake sniffed the air. He usually didn't eat soup, it was hot, and that didn't go over well with him, but this stuff just tasted too good to be true. He followed his nose to the source of the scent.

He will see Minstrone stirring a large pot of minestrone soup. The blue coated pony was lightly swaying to some song in his head while his blond mane stayed on his neck. The approach by Snow Flake was not noticed.

As he started to calm down he looked at Snow Flake. Good looking, well kept stallion. Minstrone decided to test the waters.

He got one of those paper cones, grabbed a little cloud puff from underneath his cart and SQUEEEZED all the snow out of it. He then squirted some red syrup into it and handed it to Minstrone.
It is strawberry.

"Mmmmm, straaawberrrrry!" his voice was slowed down by the delicious chilling effect. He then realized that he was called cutie.

Minstrone smiled and removed his apron. He put the cover over the pot and then hung up his apron. He washed his hoofs quickly and then arose over to Snow Flake.
"Great! Let's go!"

Snow Flake leaped with joy. He led Minstrone to Soft Serve's Bar.

Minstrone continued to grin as he followed Snow Flake. He certainly hadn't expected this nice surprise today!

"Will do, Doc. It'll probably be easier to get them to take it now." says Purple. She pulls her dancing parents in a corner and then walked back to the doctor and snake. "How much do I owe you?"

Melt walked slowly into the building, taking special care on not falling through any holes on the cloudy floor.

Fox Trot-The Venue-Let's get this Recital over with :P

After leaving the Civic Center and Miss Icy, with a somewhat...sorta renewed spirit, he set off to his house where he showered and put on his best collar, black cravat and cuffs. Sure it wasn't really a formal occasional but...he was the one who was in charge of the occasion he had to look nice. Looking at his reflection as he did his mane...he looked like he was getting ready for the gala and not some foal dance recital.

Afterwards he returned to the venue, going over final preparations and once overs of everything, how stressful this must have been. His kids started showing up as he gave them final instructions and ran them through a few practices on the stage.

"But Mister Fox Trot...what...what if I mess up a step?" The young foal Barley Tea asked giving him those big' ol cute eyes. Yes, the twice recurring foal NPC has returned again, naturally, given the setting.

"...Don't worry too much about getting everything perfect, if you start to worry about that, than you'll miss out on the fun that you're really supposed to be having," Fox smiled at the little foal, his voice gentle and reassuring.

"...Okay Mister Fox Trot," Barley replied with a still nervous sigh. She gave him a hug which surprised Fox, being that he wasn't a huggy-type of pony. Afterwards she trotted off to go join the rest of the foals who had gathered in groups and did a few little practices.
