I have a gmail account "[email protected]" and a youtube account "triardthefox". I have not linked the two (because screw you google).

Go to login. Type "triardthefox" for the login. Use GMail's password? Logs into the gmail account. Use youtube's password? Login to the youtube account.

LOLWUT?! One login should NOT respond to two different passwords under ANY circumstance.

Wait, I'm confused.

If you use your gmail username/password, you log into your gmail account and cannot access the youtube account.
If you use your youtube username/password, you log into your youtube account and cannot access the gmail account.

Is that correct? Isn't that how it should work normally?

The thing is that they are allowing the Youtube and GMail logins to be identical. Due to the GMail "feature" that you don't have to type in "@gmail.com" carrying over to Youtube, the username "triardthefox" corresponds to two accounts depending on entered password.

Which is an issue. There should be something in place to mitigate the possibility over overlapping Google / Youtube usernames.

I assuming you're referring to the ability to have "[email protected]" and "[email protected]", right? That's different, as that's on two different servers. I can't type my gmail username and password into Hotmail and access my Google account. On Youtube, I can.

Let's say, for example, you own "[email protected]". Let's say someone else owns the youtube account "erikun". Let's pretend for a minute you're both bad with security, so his password is "password" and your password is "passw0rd". (It's more likely than you think, "password" is the second most common password of all time.)

He typos your password. Boom. Access to your google account. Google hosts a myriad of things, including contacts, e-mail, calendar, etc. A lot of things that could give him access to information on you that you do not want him to have.

The difference being that he wouldn't be entering "erikun" on GMail itself, since he doesn't own that account, so there's little chance of an issue popping up like this. However, since he does own "erikun" on Youtube, there is a 100% likelihood that he will enter that while trying to access Youtube.

If you use Google+, that opens an entirely different range of issues. Very few people will go out of their way to hack someone, but if they stumble upon it on accident, you can't really trust someone to resist temptation.

Actually, I mean "[email protected]", "[email protected]", and "[email protected]". All three are distinct logins, all three by the same company, and all three work on Yahoo's login page. (Microsoft has @hotmail.com and @msn.com, along with others.)

And it sounds like it will only become a problem if you are bad with passwords. It does provide an interesting logistics problem if both people try to use the same password, but I'm not sure it is that much more of a concern than simply having the username "[email protected]". I've worked in tech support before, and know that any T. Johnsons who are prone to use "password" as their password are also prone to attempting to log in before even signing up for an email address!

Last night was our last session by necessity of our DM going out of state to college this week, and a general unwillingness for everyone involved to attempt to finish this long distance. We realized that darn it, we were going to sit down and FINISH the campaign, and it will take as long as it freaking needs to in one sitting.

Our party [all level 14, consisting of a Human Cleric (raised by elves), a Dwarf Barbarian (who's intelligence was admirably low and dice rolls admirably lucky), an Elvish Urban Ranger (token elf chick, but had the lowest cha of the party at 8), and myself, Halfling Rogue (obviously the party face, with my amazing bluff and diplomacy checks, and a sweet hat)] was stuck in a Majora's Mask-esque scenario in which the world ended with a devil summon-type scenario. All our previous plans had ended in our death, and we'd had decided that screw subtly, we had finally figured out enough, leveled high enough, and looted enough people, and the one thing we hadn't tried yet was to just devolve the city into chaos as fast as possible. We know that the chief of police, the architect of the city's train, and the city's mafia are responsible, and the city's new magitek train system is probably a summon circle.

In the interest of not giving a word for word retelling of what ended up being a 9 hour realtime endeavor, here is the reader's digest of our plan:

Step one: Barge into a meetup of a splinter group of the city's mafia, and tell them we know everything, we're on their side, let's go frig up the main mafia's plans.

Step two: Barge into the city's barbarian guild. Promise them all the ale they can physically drink if they can start a big enough riot, starting on our signal.

Step three: Summon earth elemental to break up the summon circle so that it is no longer continuous, which is to say frig up about a hundred meters of elevated train tracks. Have barbarians run off with broken track segments so they can't fix it easily.

Step four: Go to city main police station. Break high level serial killer out of jail. Give sword.

Step five: Blow chief of police's personal alert whistle, signaling both the absent Chief to his office and starting the riots in the street.

Step six: 1v7 on the police chief are actually even odds. That is, if we didn't already have looted his corpse from previous loops of his good items.

Step seven: Chief drops, signaling mafia that problems. We spot hooded cloaks on rooftops eveywhere.

Step 8: Find the train guy is not at his office but DO find the mafia's hideout, thanks to their failranger. Seriously, in all our fights with these guys across all loops, he landed MAYBE less than five hits, and failed every save available. Go figure he tells us where their hideout is. We called him Ranger Rick, incidentally.

Step 9: Go to city's main temple. Recruit entire cleric order and temple guard.

Step 10: March to the warehouse hideout, party leading, followed by the mafia splinter group, the crazy guy, like a platoon of clerics and guards, and an entire horde of raging riotous barbarians, city burning behind us.

Step 11: We get met by an army of mafia guys, elite trainguards, the Father of the mafia, and the train's architect sorcerer. GO TIME.

Step 12: Rock our initiative rolls, attack rolls, hide in plain sights, sneak attacks and whatever the heck else we need to roll for. Deal hundreds of damage to both before both the Sorcerer and the Father can attack.

Step 13: Sorcerer goes invisible, protects himself with a wall of force, and summons a bunch of monkeys. Our cleric summons a giant beetle. The Father hides too, but we nat 20 on that spot check, a trend that continues the rest of the fight. Father is NOT HAPPY.

Step 14: Screw what the Father thinks, we have a raging Barbarian who's drunk, borderline retarded, can deal 200 damage by accident.

Step 15: Wait where'd the sorcerer go WHOOPS HE DIED SOMEHOW AND NOW A HORNED DEVIL SHOWS UP.

Step 16: Horned Devil, the true mind behind all the plans is, to say the least, mad. His decades of planning are now for naught because a bunch of bum adventurers have somehow, in less than six hours, with nigh on surgical precision, frigged up EVERYTHING. Also trainfest is pretty much ruined. FINAL BOSS.

Step 17: our cleric has bad concentration, reflex, and grapple checks, and so when the summoned medium devils show up and the firebals start flying, our only source of healing starts going down. We have to roll 18 or higher to hit anything. Fortunately the barbarian's dancing sword is rolling well, I am somehow unable to not nat 20 on my hide checks, so every attack is a sneak attack. My circlet of blasting (major) that i secretly had hits too, allowing this little hobbit who was not too long ago dealing 1d4 hit dice to deal nearly twenty times his output. Thanks for the guns, Chief!

Step 18: The little devils are dropped, but so is the cleric. Cue mad dash footrace to get him some potions, while the ranger tries and tries and to land a hit on this damage sponge of a boss.

The barbarian crits, nat 20, with all his modifiers, hitting for >120 damage. The devil bursts into flame, and burns away into nothing. VICTORY.

Step 19: Whoops wait, we just won, that means the time loops is broken and we have causality again. Guess the city is burning for real? The riots take a while to clear up too. Your heroes, everybody!

Step 20: Hey, guess it's 3am and nine hours after we started, and I have work in the morning!


Now, to make this more pony related, I had to try very hard to not accidentally call the cleric's patron deity Celestia by accident, a thing that I have been struggling with the entire campaign.

According to Equestria Daily, Some of the guys working on the show confirmed it was true.
I don't want it spoiled for me, so can we put that stuff in spoiler tags?

On a different note, I had a dream that the show didn't have amazing writing, and I made a thread discussing what they could of done differently.

That dream brought my total number of pony dreams for the past week up to five.

This two-parter according to the animators was the one they worked on last season, it has been heavily implied it was meant to be s1's true finale.
Couldn't that mean that September 17th (Roughly) might not actually be the premiere of s2, but a mere taste of things to come in the real new season?

The only real leak of plot info we have is from an incredibly dubious,unconfirmed, source.
Unless you are talking about the episode description leak, which has been confirmed, but all it really tells is how many parts the episode is, the name of the villian, and what the goal of the mane cast is. And the possible air date.
