    You tire of it... Your whole life is filled with the horrors of deprivation from the most basic needs of a decent life. The brutality of your masters is only matched by their short temper and your own total submission to them.

    There is never, ever, any chance of rebelion or retribution of their violence - NOT because they are cleaver and organized, but because they have whips and spears and swords. MANY whips and spears and swords... that are allways TOO eager to meet the body of any slave. Slaves were killed every week, and new ones brought every month..

    You're not sure on why the Country used so many slaves. You've alreary heard many stories... the king became a zombie, demonic invasion, divine punishment... BUT, the most heard story is this:

    About 40 years ago, a Warlord came from a distant land... He comanded the most fearsome knights and used MAGIC to take over the Country.

    The nobleman of the region felt or fled, the army was crushed and the Country was broken - in economy, spirit and pourpose. The brutality of the Warlord kept for years until now, as he drains the blood of the people only to amass great personal wealth.

    Since then poverty and crime took over the land... Soldiers are as dangerous as criminals, barons as vicious as Balors. The farmers suffer the most, bleeding until the ground is soaked. There is no HOPE, no HERO, no AID... The Country walks the path of self-anihhilation.


    There is a specialy vicious Ogre overseer, Gulnash, who already slew dozens of slaves... his whip is the most painfull, his might the most unmatched. All the other overseers were afraid form him as well, and he bowed to no one. This is the most feared monster inside this hellhole.



    ------------------------------------- present time --------------------

    in this last week, you have been removed from your usual assingments and hastely put to work digging in the quarry. The overseers are more brutal then usual, to increase the gross amount of stone you can dig out of the earth. You don't know why.

    Yesterday was a specially brutal day... There was a food shortage and you couldn't eat, an angry overseer slain a slave for no reason, and the whips were all to active. You went to sleep still hungry and bleeding, exausted and weak.

    laying at the naked, cold rock was so sad that night... you felt so empty and so dommed you almost whised you were dying instead of sleeping... but then, you had the strangest of dreams

    You saw yourself with a few more fellow slaves breaking free of the quarry, blasting your way with magical spells and martial skill.. from there, you walked over the country figthing and figthing legions of man... There were flashes, too quick to follow, but all showing great power and great violence from your part.

    But it felt so real, so intense, and so long as you have never seen before! it was as if you had slept for a whole year and awaked something inside of you... it was so real! so strange!


    You think you're finally waking up, feeling you body shaking, sweting, crying form the inside...

    Then, you open your eyes....

    And open them AGAIN!

    ALL the strange visions from your dream rushed to your mind as power and knowledge, courage and strenght! You are SURE! a new live will start NOW as you BREAK your rusted cage and RUN!

    Your epiphany is disrupted, however, you feel the slash of the whip at your back!

    Uidon takes the lashes as his eyes open and feels a fire burning that isn't just around his skin. The guard, his lash, the whole quarry. It was a war war waiting to happen. Like a furnace blasted to white hot. Ready to melt the metal it contained.

    He grunts loudly as the second lash lands and begins to lever himself off the ground. The scars on his back absorbed the lashes easily. As he stood up it wasn't with hunched shoulders. His back was straight for the first time. Uidon stood medium height with a bulky build, his arms covered in bulky muscles and scars from his hands to his elbows. His head was poorly shaved and burned in places from accidents in the forges. These days he was breaking rocks again...

    As Uidon looked down at his hand he saw it clenched around a familiar peice of rock. Almost like a pillow, what ever that was, it had laid near his head. This won't do... "Guards, Tools. Where are the tools. I want to get to work." Uidon says as he stares at the guard intently holding back the need to rush foward and bash the guard's skull against the ground.

    Korin takes the whipping without resisting or flinching, as usual. But there is fire in his eyes that hasn't been there before. The spirits have called to him, and he has a duty to heed the summons.

    As soon as they let down their guard, I can call upon the spirits to aid me. Until then, I'll have to remain compliant

    Korin head of to the mining site, looking for somewhere he could go to be unnoticed, if only for a minute.

    Being woken by a whip was nothing new to Kanros, but it was something for which he was never prepared. Unlike his fellows, the man called out as he was struck. Kanros' usual stoic nature did not carry over to such barbaric treatment, especially after such a startling dream. "What would you have me do?" asks Kanros, voice deep and gravelly. "Point the way, and I shall fallow."

    The last sound in the dream that Xilef heard was that of a powerful roar. She feel the whip but ignore it at the moment, The Great Tiger, for now she know that it's not a cat, has grant her some sort of power. She could feel it just under her skin, claw and fang just waiting, strength to be unleashed, magic of the wild and more. The message was clear too, she'll need to go.
    She open her eyes finally and stand up, for the first time in her life she stand straight and look at the guard in the eyes. She strech with obvious pleasure, the movement is unsetling and look more like that of predator than a human being.
    After that she spoke, to no one in particular. "I'm ready."

    Seanon rolls to his feet, though not as quickly as he usually might; his mind's eye still filled with the intense dream he has just had. Something's different... Glancing about, he can see he is not the only one to have been changed by the night.

    He should be exhausted and stiff from doing such hard labor for the past week, but instead he feels somehow powerful; this is not a feeling he is familiar with. He can feel arcane energies crackling at his beck and call, awaiting just his command. His eyes, filled with the old familiar hatred, alight upon the overseers with a new and terrible purpose.

    Some overseers realize you where standing tall or staring at them. and they don't like it. Unaware of the real reason of your disrespect, they just whip you again for you to stand in your place

    OCC: You are not flat-footed for this attack, BUT if you try to dodge the whip (make use of your dex or defense bonus, for instance) you know they will whip you again - harder this time. The only thing that will make them resume to usual rotine is if you lower your head, grab the tools, and start digging.

    your "turn". you can have your normal turns and strike back or just lower your head and get to work.

    Uidon saw the whip coming and couldn't help but step out of the way. To be a slave was no longer a choice he had. Like a wisp of smoke in a hurricane the need to cringe was gone.

    "Maggot? No more." Uidon says simply, neither loud or soft. as the whip whistles by his cheek. The simple words fill the space as Uidon charges between two startled guards towards the guard who called them all maggots trying to slam him up against the wall and beat him with his rock.

    The overseer's eye turn wide open as Uidon crosses the room and nearly kills one of them. When as Korin creates MAGIC and trows fire from his hand at another, you can almost feel the chill on their spine.

    None of the overseers wehre killed with those attacks, but they're "blodied" (under 50% hp. you can tell that just by looking.)

    Overrser str check: (1d20+8)[27]. EDIT: wrong bonus. correct is +3. total result: 22

    Also, Kelgore's fire bolt does not require a ranged touch attack, but allows a reflex save for half damage instead - ref save: (1d20+2)[22]

    Grabbing a rock, Kanros asks "What is happening? How will this help us?" Knowing that he's likely to be killed just for standing near the rebellion, the man chucks the rock as hard as he can at the man Korin attempted to roast.

If you disagree with my assessment, please feel free to reroll the damage for me or ask me to reroll it myself.

    I'm aware that sneak attack may not apply in this situation, but I'm rolling for it anyway. This is just in case you decide to rule that the guard is flat-footed or otherwise denied his Dex bonus to AC for any reason, such as his stupefaction in the face of Korin's magic or the fact that he might not expect an attack from Kanros anyway.

    Xilef avoid the whip, step next to the guard (five foot step in D6). She roar to the sky (or the celling anyway) and change sprouting fur on her face and arms, and most importantly gaining claws and fangs. (free action shifting)
    She then attack the lasher with savage fury at her disposition, an elbow strike to the head, a kick to the shin, two simulatenous claw attack to the sternum and a bite to the neck.

    Korin's unexpected magic and Kanros's unexpected rock trowing take down an overseer. There's a club on the ground next to him (but on his square)
    Xilef unexpectedly turns into something wild and attack the overseer fiercely. She hits several times and end the assault rending the villain. There's a wooden club on his position.
    Seanon unexpectedly summons MAGIC to increase your strenght

    The overseers, unable to really understand what goging on, strike back at you but then start running away in fear "WHAT THE HELL?? REBELION!!!"

    Korin brushes the prisoner aside with ease, and strides to the nearest fallen guard, picking the club from the ground.
    He looks to the others "It seems I am not the only one chosen. I would have prefered to have more time to prepare before we begin, but there is no point dwelling on the past. Please prevent our captors" He glares at the slave who grabbed at him "Or this idiot from disrupting me while I perform a spirit binding."

    Korin then begins to draw a symbol in the ground, leaving the others to their own devices

    Uidon pauses when he hears the other's join in combat. He nearly gets knocked upside the head when he turns at the woosh that knocks his target to the ground. A sense of kinship fills Uidon. Those chosen around him have joined the fray. The woman, that poor woman, tears a captor to shreds. Even the weak one with the nice voice was joining in. Magic is in the air. Even the brooding one prepares... Now truly is the time.

    Uidon turns around and raises the bloody rock into the air. "Rise you. You are men and woman. Not slaves. Join us. Freedom is at hand!"

    He then moves to secure the tools, thinking this will secure their freedom.

    Korin easely gets rid of the desperate slave and arms himself.
    Xilef bites an overseer in the neck, landing a nearly fatal wound. an overseer trows a blow at her while she runs*
    Seanon creates magic to prevent the overseers escape. one of them trips on it, the other is slowed down, and another can't move away.
    Kanros finds a large mining pick that will work out at as wepon finely (1d6, piecing)
    Uidon gives a short but true speech - The slave that was harassing stops and starts crying in the ground, some others start shouting arround "rebelion, rebelion!" and a few rush ahead to the tools and grab whatever they can to use as a wepon

    The overseers next to you try run away while bashing you - unfortunately they run right into the grease area. (one of them generates an AoO to Xilef.)

    Starting to believe that they may actually pull this off, Kanros grabs a pick from the group of tools. Holding it in one hand, he hefts the rock in his other and takes a step towards the taskmasters. Chucking the rock, he says "Come back here and face us, you cowards!"

    Xilef hits the AoO but miss the charge attack
    Kanros trows a rock at the overseer just wounded by Xilef. Unable to dodge the rock, the overseer is hit in the head and falls to the ground bleeding.
    Seanon creates the sound of a horrific slaughter to keep any more guards at bay
    Uidon helps Xilef in battle, and she is able to kill two overseers.

    With that, all the overseers in the room are killed, but there should be a few more inside this pen

    The slaves start moving to get the tools as wepons but then halt their progress as they hear the voracious tigers. only a few of them understand that it's a trick generated by you. At any rate, most of them armed themselves somehow.

    Realizing that he can now simply take one of the overseers' weapons, Kanros hands his pick to another slave. Striding swiftly over to the fallen guards, the small man grabs one of the whips. "What are you waiting for?" calls Kanros to those behind him. "This can be done, and we can do it. Get a move on, people!"
