Looks like the Vampire Curse wasn't done with me after all.
The computer I kept the most current database for Vampire on just went up in smoke (not literally - it simply won't start anymore). Needless to say, this is going to put a crimp in things until I can get the data back on track. My backup on this machine is sadly several days out of date.
*sighs* Sorry folks.Catatar made for me many years ago ... pretty sure by banjo1985

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
Ouch. With computer troubles still a recent event in my mind I can empathize. Take time if you need it.
Well, to save you some time, when I came back from the dead you told me my role was Jebus, Zombie Godling, Destroyer of Worlds. What? Ok. Sorry.

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
Jebus is a horribly unbalanced role.
On the plus side I managed to get the old box to reanimate long enough to move all the Vampire files to a thumbdrive. So I will be able to migrate them to another machine and resume the game in short order.Catatar made for me many years ago ... pretty sure by banjo1985

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
It seems as though the monsters must have fled Paris, for once again, there are no deaths in the night.
During the night, Istari falls into a pit while trying to find a Gypsy. He suffers no physical harm, but fails in whatever he was intending to do.
L'Emperuer releases those imprisoned for refusing to take part in the last Open Discourse ... just in time for the second one to begin.
Once more, the people of Paris are gathered; this time at the Paris Opera House. Once more, L'Emperuer wishes to watch the dance of politics among his citizens. Once more, his seneschal lays out the ground rules. One day more...
"A report compiled by Imperial Intelligence has revealed some interesting information to our August Personage."
Of the people of Import, among the living, there are 6 Nobles in Paris.
There are 4 Masqued; who have organized the many decadent pleasures to be taken part in during your time here. Three prominent members of the University are still with us, as well as three Gypsies - whom you know as a result of Imperial Decree - Gray Mage, Larspcus2, and otakuryoga. There are two representatives of the Church. We have 3 attendees who have not yet declared an allegiance. As for the Inquisition ... well, they seem to have left our fair city. A pity, as I hear they accomplished their mission the same night the last of their number departed.
"While the Masqued may certainly lend their support, they are not a proper faction of Paris and may not be nominated for. The legal candidates are the Church, the Gypsies, the Nobles and the University."
"Each attendee may cast one major vote and one minor vote - but unlike the first time around, neither vote may be for one's own faction. Thus, in order to win the Discourse, it is not simply a game of numbers. One must earn sufficient support from one's peers!"
"Our hosts have told us that the Nobility, the Gypsies, and the sadly absent Inquisition have been generous patrons. As such the Nobles and Gypsies start the event with 1 minor vote tallied for their faction."
"Also, to whet your appetites - the Masqued chefs have created a number of pastries. 20 pastries, stake your claim. All are delicious, and some contain tokens of favor. One contains a gold coin with the visage of our August Personage upon it. The one of you who finds that one will be gifted with a fancy from the Imperial Treasury.
Event: Open Discourse II
Duration: The course of Day 13 and Night 13.
Style: Social
Notes: Indicate your major faction in Red. Indicate your minor faction in Green.
Sub-Event: Delicious Pastry
Duration: Day 13
Style: Random
Notes: Choose which pastry (#1-20) in blue. First come, first served, so pay attention to prior posts when selecting.

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
Pastry number 3 for me.
Also, I haven't been paying much attention to the factions, but I don't want to end up in prison again. So whoever is most convincing will get my votes.Awesome Lion Avatar by the wonderful Mr. Saturn. Thanks

I shall vote for theNoblesas my major vote - and I'll tell you why.
They have supported L'Emperuer throughout thick and thin - maintaining the integrity of this city with our steadfast and unwavering commitment to the well-being of this city.
They have always been generous with our donations to the Church, and are among the most devout citizens under the glorious rule of L'Emperuer.Last edited by billtodamax; 2011-12-12 at 08:40 PM.

Pastry 7...I do hope its a cinnamon twist.

Also, I scried Fin as a vampire last night, so it's more than likely that he isn't.
As an aside, did anyone else notice that the night kills stopped happening when TigerFang stopped posting? Could be he's the last vampire for us to take out?Last edited by banjo1985; 2011-12-07 at 08:25 AM.

What are you guys thinking? Clearly pastry number 8 is the best! Masqued for major and Church for minor.
