Hu... now I feel I need to try what other words in Japanese I can say which I could not in English... buuuut I'll hold my curiosity. Also, I wasn't really going for yaoi but just shonen Ai which is about the difference between romance and porn, iirc.

I'm pretty sure we can say "gay" and you've just shown we can say "porn," so combining the two with a bit inbetween shouldn't be too outlandishly cheeky.

From what I recall, Marigold has slightly broader tastes than only reading yaoi, but the only component of her collection that has been touched on concretely has been yaoi... So.... yeah.

Weird we'd be atalking about bishies when there is just a bishie storyline going on at Manly Guys Doing Manly Thing...
I don't mind bishies and I don't think there's something wrong with them... and it is kind of weird how it seems to be almost a synonym for 'overrated presumably gay person in japanese media'...
Anyway, I didn't mean earlier the chief wasn't allowed to watch shonen ai/yaoi/whatever but... he.. doesn't look the part, at all... (wow, I'm presumptuous I guess knowing this from two pictures)

Back when Hannelore was cleaning her apartment, didn't Marigold complain that she had mixed the yaoi mangas in with the other mangas? We know at least that she has a non-yaoi collection.

I always looked at bishies as oddly pretty men. Or at least androgynous. Sexual preference doesnt even come into it. In fact, aside from the yaoi fanboys who make every male gay, its often described as an attractive appearance to girls. As in, girls find a pretty man sexy.

It is amusing, isn't it?

But yeah, nothing wrong with bishies. I can even understand the appeal, even if I don't share it. It's just I can't resist taking cheap jabs at easy targets.

Well, I think the reasoning is that with bishies, in order to be "pretty," one has to look like a lady either by being androgynous with no male features or having only female or feminized features, so it's vaguely homoerotic in some form or another, whether it's from the girls being attracted to characters who are designed as essentially female or from being actually homoerotic because it's two dudes in a romantic-sexual relationship, even if they both look like ladies.

I think I can discern a "Potatoes!" sign in the fourth panel. They could be mixed with something that would add color and flavor or it's just somewhat unnatural coloring, that happens quite often in many comics. Those could be scrambled eggs as well.

I am in favor of Barbarian Marigold and Rogue Faye. And Marten's just about spoony enough to be a Bard. Pintsize as DM frightens me, though.

This has probably already been discussed, (I'm just jumping into this discussion) but as someone who's been cautiously optimistic about Marten and Hannelore getting together for a while (read: from the moment she was introduced), the tone of the last few strips pleases me greatly.

Amusingly, you could probably run a solid, if decidedly freaky and immature, game using core and that set of splats.
