Re: D&D Demotivators Episode V: The Demotivator Strikes Back
Star Control 2, a great masterpiece of the old DOS era. The original doesn't work so well on more modern Windows-based computers any more, but there's an open source port of it you can download from here for free (with official approval of the original developers - heck, they're the ones who made the source code public to make the project possible in the first place). The Star Control name is trademarked and currently owned by a company I'd have to look up, so the port had to come up with a new name, which is why it's called The Ur-Quan Masters now.

Re: D&D Demotivators Episode V: The Demotivator Strikes Back
What are you talking about? The company that released Star Control, and SC2, never released a SC3. And they certainly never sold the rights to a company that decided the Arilou's sole reason for interest in Earth is to steal human organs. Or that the precursors turned into cows.
If it's not obvious, insert a after my post.

That is both awesome and accurate, but that's not the real professor, it's him from universe B. Not that it would make a difference; the professor's as chaotic as it gets.
I found this one while looking for an alignment chart maker. It's not technically a demotivator, but I don't think it's ever been posted here and it's too good not to put.

I definitely agree with the lawful column, but I'm not sure about the rest.

I'd say the Lawful column was upside down, but that's an argument for another thread, and we're all allowed our own opinions on what games we enjoy.
Also I think I'd throw GURPS in True Neutral, Place Hackmaster on there somewhere under Chaos... Hmm yeah, like I said, we all have differing opinions on the games we like.

Re: D&D Demotivators Episode V: The Demotivator Strikes Back
3.5 is deceptive and punishing, it's an exemplar game of "those smart and selfish enough to seek out power and explore the options that seem weaker win, to the extent that you can win this". 4e is straightforward and "sure, you can optimize, but it won't do anything but make your numbers bigger. The smart are rewarded, but the weak can still keep up". I fail to see your point.
And yeah, Exalted is sooo CG. You get bonuses for following RoC, and they insert stuff because it's cool, regardless of balance.Last edited by Hiro Protagonest; 2012-03-21 at 05:40 PM.

Nonono. FATAL is CE.
He fears his fate too much, and his reward is small, who will not put it to the touch, to win or lose it all.

It required bringing up repressed memories, but I think I saw a cover for FATAL somewhere. I'm sure as heck not going to look for it.

Thrown Improvised weapon: Dm Pc Target: epic litch. We got soooo much comeuppance for it and it was sooooo worth it.
Most people see a half orc and and think barbarian warrior. Me on the other hand? I think secondary trap handler and magic item tester. Also I'm not allowed to trick the next level one wizard into starting a fist fight with a house cat no matter how annoying he is.
