I interpreted the last panel as a case of "I know you've fallen for her before, and I don't want you to do it again" kind of thing. Precisely because they've seen her naked, they know what the other party has to face.

A cynic would suggest that this is just the normal hypocrite Zii that told Gary never to volunteer her for something sexual without her permission and then jumped him for a kiss just to try and make Eric jealous.

It's not alright for her boyfriend to ogle another gorgeous human being while he's involved with her, so she covers his eyes. It's perfectly fine for her to do so though, because it's a girl seeing a girl and thus 'okay' (I don't know if Zii would make such an absurb claim that 'it's gay so it doesn't count as cheating' but I can imagine her doing so if it suited her immediate gratification).

That would be unfair, though - Zii has shown some steps towards growth lately, so maybe she did it for the same reason that Eric might have done it to her: Eric has seen DiDi naked already, so to him it's probably not such a big deal (at least, insofar as one can say such a thing about DiDi....) and her was trying to stop Zii from getting embarrassed. Zii, having already seen DiDi naked unknown to Eric, has the same idea because (according to television and Hollywood) it's more embarrassing for a guy to see a girl naked, than it is for a girl to see another girl naked.

Or maybe it's just a throwaway gag - they're both embarrassed, and it's funny to see them getting exactly the same idea at the same time and acting to help each other out. Let's see what happens on Thursday....

DiDi, on the other hand, seems to be suffering from some form of schitzophrenia. I seem to remember her at one point carrying a full grown man over the threshold and throwing him into bed, and storming into one room demanding "I'm ready! Take me NOW!", and stripping naked (twice!) at the drop of a hat even while 'nervously' exploring her first lesbian date.
I don't understand where she suddenly got this 'subtle' attitude from.

I'd say it's because she has known Gary for a while now and knows how emotional he can get (after all, he has passed out on her a few times already), so she thinks she'd better avoid the confrontational attitude.

Also, I don't see her acting differently to when she was on her date with Sandra. I guess it's just how she behaves when trying to change a relationship from simple friendship to something else. She doesn't care as much when trolling for boyfriends in the local bars and clubs.

You know, I think zii has gotten way cuter over the years. That third panel made her look really cute. As for the mutual eye covering, id say its standardish boyfriend/girlfriend behavior. They have a sexy sight they dont want their significant other staring at. For a standard couple it might be if he saw a girl in a micro miniskirt bending over sans panties, she might cover his eyes, (or punch him for staring, whatever) and he might do the same for her if it was some muscleman in a banana hammock. In this case, both are aware that the other finds didi hot, and as she is naked, they are covering up the others eyes.

Actually I think the opposite is true. Back when the artist was much more of a "Archie Ripoff" I loved the art, and Zii was absolutely adorable AND ultra-hot, but now when the art is so much more manga-esque the times where I would call any female in the comic "cute" is few and far between (this picture you refer to is one of them, though". At least the way DiDi is drawn keeps her firmly on the "western" style of the art.

It's probably just me, but I really get a distinctive impression.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised that her boobs, while large, are in proportion with the rest of her body, and don't come off as unrealistically large.

Which is as it should be, since they are supposed to be natural.

Looking at the "adorable" strip, and comparing it with the latest, I think the artists have managed to make DD's face more realistic in the later strips. Her face looks more "comic-booky" somehow in the earlier one, and girlier.

Meh, I wasnt bothered by that too much, its one of the milestones stereotypically assigned to manhood. Drivers license, drinking age, moving out, first time having sex, etc. All are goals to reach to be an adult, or a "man"
