I just saw a clip of the Bourne Ultimatum. The guy who plays the head of the morally amibigious government project in that movie is the same guy who plays Dr. Rosen in "Alphas".

Funny, that.

Anyways I'm going to try my hand at this background story work, leading to some new villains I'm setting up.

He wasn't called “The Gentleman” for nothing. Johnny Marcone was nothing if not well mannered in his business dealings. It just so happened that his business happened to be total domination of the criminal underworld in the greater Chicago area. It was for that very reason he was waiting at this restaurant in Futo City, Japan to have a word with Ryubee Sonozaki, the illustrious head of Futo Museum.

Marcone was no giant but he had a fair build for a man of his age, he towered over the curator like the Windmill of Futo Tower stood above this city. Sonozaki did not seem to mind though as he smiled at the American gangster. “Mister Marcone, you have come a long way to speak with me. Surely there was someone more local who could help you. We frown upon polluting excesses here in Futo.”

“I have reason to believe you would know what this is.” Marcone says as he pulls out the shattered remains of a USB drive from his pocket. The oddest thing about the device is not the ornate bone like design around the case but the fact that the interior contained no flash memory or any electronics at all.

“It is just a fancy memory stick.” Sonozaki says his smile not faltering.

Marcone shakes his head. “No. This was taken from a man-sized grasshopper. One that nearly fought three immortal Vikings with advanced modern weapons and dwarven forged swords to a stand still. On top of that when they do manage to put the insect out of it's misery it turns into a young Japanese woman who gives me your name.”

Sonozaki laughs. “Ah, you had a run in with a Dopant. This would be one of those Gaia Memories I keep hearing about on the News...”

“I am not here to play games Mr. Sonozaki. I have already had Miss Gard run a full analysis on every property you own in this city. You have an abandoned factory on the outskirts full of dark magic that I suspect is making these Gaia Memories.” Marcone states matter of factually.

Sonozaki's smile gives way to a scowl for a second. “You have no way to prove it.”

“No, but I do have your regional Warden's phone number and with the Red Court gone they have been pretty trigger happy lately.” Marcone explains pulling out a burnt up address book. It's hard to tell through the scorch marks but it says right on the cover it belonged to one H. Dresden. “That said I could just forget this ever happened. All I want is two little favors.”

Sonozaki frowns but gives a small nod. “What do you want Mr. Marcone?”

“First I want you to keep your Dopants out of Chicago, I have enough problems as is without dealing with them too.” Marcone's tone changes from polite and negotiable to demanding and forceful, there is more than he's letting on about his disgust with the Gaia Memories.

“Done, they were never supposed to leave Futo to begin with.” Sonozaki nods in agreement.

“Second, the young lady before she chocked herself on one of those delightful boiled grasshoppers mentioned one other name. Foundation X, now if she worked for this Foundation and was using one of your memories then I'm left to suspect that you are part of it.” Marcone explained.

“What of it?” Sonozaki asked suspiciously.

“I want in.”

Also, writing the account of John Taylor and Suzie's honeymoon. I've got the concept down, but it's the time for cover letters and I've got to work on those.

How to summarize the current plot events?

The gang of people in Castlevania are still under the effects of 'friendship', although two of the elements of harmony have burnt out from the stress of making these violent, violent, men...'friendly'.

Over by Istanbul, the Janniseries have been whipped up into a Rag frenzy, and after a period of savaging Vlad's army, have sort of gone a bit 'zombie' and have dispersed, some still attacking the Wallachians, others dispersing into the city itself.

Van Helsing, his merry men, Seras Victoria, and Anderson, have taken refuge in a Chapel run by Father Callahan from Dark Tower, and Mightily Oats from the Discworld series. More or less, they've agreed that vampires have really messed up their lives, and have agreed to try and sort this mess out.

Peabody and Beakmen are flipping out over the damage to their battlestation as well.

I wrote my post, then realized that there is a distinct possibility that being fed on by Bella made Archer impotent (you know Twipires have no blood pressure, thereby no circulation, thereby they stay limp pretty much no matter what). So I better ask that it is physically possible for him to do it.

For those of you who don't know, servants feed on mana. They burn it up doing their awesome stunts, same way wizards would. Demons (I assume), get by much the same, and have their own little nest eggs of it back in Hell, based on all the souls they own through deals being tortured back home, thereby producing it at a steady rate, and angels probably have something to the same description. Shinigami as well, getting all the mana produced by the humans they kill, thus keeping them alive.

But Archer has a very limited supply, and so is looking at alternative sources as well as sapping off Shirou. The best way to transfer from a third party is sexual intercourse, hence seducing Panty. He's not greedy, so she probably doesn't even notice he took some. But that's his motivations (he's not going to waste time having sex with a gorgeous woman unless it benefits him in some way).

She hasn't drained enough to have any lasting effect on him but he will need mana a lot more urgently to replace what he lost.

Alright. Then there's your answer. He took enough to get him off ground zero, about a weeks worth (as in, what he'd get from sitting back and being fed by Shirou for a week). So enough to start fueling up again, but nowhere near how much he lost.

Alright I finally made the FanFiction.com account to archive our side stories. I currently have everything that was posted in this thread saved and ready to go. Does anyone not want their stuff posted?

Course not. I only really intended them to set up what he'd be doing in the next epic, so you can extend it as far as you want.

Well, I can't do a thing until this whole Friendship thing gets resolved. So call me when you do something about that.
I suppose I could have Caine show up and try to make Dracula fight him, who keeps trying to tell him to get in touch with his feelings. That might be funny.

Yeah, my plan was to replace Chuck with the real thing (GIR), basically my assumption was he gave GIR orders to follow the Anarchy sisters, then went and bit the bullet, leaving the ultra advanced infiltration machine (yeah right) following it's last orders.

Of course, that only works when Zim dies, and lets me play another character (hopefully better chosen and more fun). Which is why I am now going to try my very best to kill Smedry. And I'm going to ask you all to get together enough to save the old man from having his organs removed forcibly.

I ask because if I declared it on my own, it would be awfully convienient.

And it's really up to you, Cracklord, whether they vampires can break free of the Friendship Beam.

I'm going to give them a huge jolt to aid in that goal.

In other news, I have actually broken the Dresden Files system by trying to make our characters. Each of them is just too powerful on their own to work.

As such, I'm going to have to switch over to Exalted.

Pity. I do like the FATE System for it's wonderful flexibility. And storytelling incentives.

I do as well. But the problem is that our characters are, at minimum, 20 refresh, and at that level, things start to break down. We are plot device characters at this point, according to the FATE system.

I doubt any of you remember this, but during the first game there was an attempt to build up an entire campaign setting and system based on Gurps and the White Wolf Games by Agrippa and I. It never really got off the ground.

Though I have to ask, would it be possible to fine-tune the Dresden Files game so that it can deal with apocalyptic threats as well as more normal investigations? Because if so, it might be worth reopening the project...
