It's mostly about who designs the test.

There is a regular committee, however there are guest professors involved in the making, while Language Reasoning Skills is normally the same, and the least volatile part of the exam, Math varies heavily each year and with that the highest and average scores, one year they got the professors from the National University of Engineering to design the math half of the test, and the highest score was 48 from a guy who aced Language with a 38 and got the highest grade in Math from the 500 postulants, a bright 10. And we are talking about a test that has no negative scoring.

Math can be either incredibly easy or impossibly hard, and not because of concepts but because of sheer operative time, there is a time limit, and solving gigantic equations is not the best use of your time. One of the, required Stewart's theorem for example, I know it by heart and wrote it down at that moment, but because the sides were not values but variables in relation to each other and cosines, the thing ended up being a massive equation which while solvable would have taken ages, time I did not have.

Meanwhile, last year's test was relatively easy (they sell the question-answer sheet half a year after the test for applicants to practice) and had in consequence relatively high scores.

Freakin' 11:40 at night, and I'm finishing up a mass study spree that has resulted in the creation of several questions on-topic I'd like answered, several of them being answered by myself through more research, new opinions being formed on old issues, multiple pages of new notes, and the largest discovery of interconnection between what I learned in AP European and what I am learning in AP US, which took long enough and has made my happy.

I'm tired. But today was productive, and also; bought new manga today. It's over an inch thick on it's first book, I've read two-thirds of said first book, and I want moooore.
