Sighing inside, but sympathetic on the outside, Sleet holds Marty, letting him cry against her. It's alright, sweetheart. There, there. Kale, are you okay?

Weakened by his previous wound and almost out of air, Kale isn't really in much shape for anything but gasping for breath as Marty is pulled away and restrained. Eventually he manages to rise to his feet, rubbing at the red marks on his neck as he glares at Marty. "I- A cough, wheezing and weak, interupts his speech. - I'm done with this, this- Another cough, weaker. - if he attacks me again I'll kill 'im. That's it. I've done my best not to slug the creep, an I done good by any count, but if he ever tries that again I'm gonna kill him." Kale's pretty obviously in bad shape, more than mere strangling can account for. Sweat drips from every pore, skin slowly turning waxy pale, eyes red and bloodshot... Signs of being drugged, that the poison is starting to take hold.

The mystical energy will attempt to zap Zero with painful amounts of electricity as he draws near the seemingly blank scroll!

"No! We only think we need things to do things! We don't need anything! Don't hurt me!"

Zero may surmise that this Wolf-Valaira is directly linked to the energy field protecting that scroll. If Zero wants to pick up the scroll, he may need to eliminate her...

The idea of having to kill Wolf Valaira is making Zero sick. But after a moment he gets angry, if there is one thing Zero hates, it is being manipulated. He then gathers the blue sparks and uses them to see if it possible to see through magic and tell him if this Valaira is real and if this scroll is really what he needs to free the Valaira that he came here to free.

Wolf-Valaira is as real as the ground Zero is standing on (and the ground is very real, by the way). Additionally, that scroll is exactly what the other Valaira thinks she requires if she ever wants to leave this horrible place. Only a dastardly, warped man could dream up this choice that Zero is now faced with. Does he kill one Valaira to save the other? Does he save one Valaira and leave the other trapped here?

Wolf Valaira can probably see that the decision in front of him is making him sick. The idea of hurting Valaira, wolf form or not, is upsetting to him. Instead Zero attempts to sit down on the floor.

How do I help you? I don't know what to do.

Wolf-Valaira slowly and guardedly approaches Zero. When she draws close enough to him, she attempts to lie down beside him before attempting to affectionately lick his hand. She's a very affectionate gal, in truth, and she's exhibiting that quality flawlessly here.

Ah. In that case Sleet will rush to Kale's side with the antidote. Nobody is dying here. She says, giving him the antidote. Put the gun away. I need him to guide me to Shada.

If Sleet doesn't stop him, he'll also put an arm around her shoulder for support, obviously having trouble holding his own weight right now. "Look... Jus'... Look." He says, giving Chez a cold stare. "I wouldn shed too many tears if you up an shot bozo right now, but.... A stop to breathe, wiping his forehead with a tattered sleeve. "Much as I don't like 'im, he was poisoned. An as much as I doubt he's a hundred-percent there up here- He taps the side of his head, a simple gesture to indicate madness. - I also kinda doubt he woulda attacked me fer no reason otherwise... So cut him a break, kay? This time at least. If he attacks anybody again, then, well, then he's just too damn dangerous to live."

Sleet has no objections to supporting Kale.

Perhaps this would work out well for Sleet after all. If neither Chez nor Kale trusted Marty then maybe they would be loathe to side with Shada out of default. Sleet was very happy with this turn of events, as long as... as long as Chez doesn't shoot Marty.

Hopefully inconspicuously, her hand creeps towards the hilt of her greatsword. She's ready to whip it out if Chez tries to shoot her guide.

EVERYBODY SHUT UP AND STAND DOWN! Sleet yells. It's the first time her voice has taken on that volume and that tone of harshness. Anybody who shoots or attacks anybody else will meet their doom at the hands of at least three other people, so I want everyone to drop weapons, stop casting spells and just calm down. Her words are very commanding, her tone one of control. It seems as if she's used to controlling people.
