Of wow Goblins and GCort are even more neck-and-neck then Goblins and OOTs. A side effect of being the last two in the game i guess.

As of posting Goblins has a slight lead at 4,352 votes, But GCort is right on it's tail at 4,327.

If Rich had even mentioned it on Twitter, he would have nabbed it. It really did come down to one webcomic artist promoting it where the other one didn't. Rich just wasn't terribly concerned with the whole thing.

Also, I like the look of the updated third-to-last panel of today's update.

Looking on the Goblins front page, all the news items and half the tweets are about the contest. Thunt is going to win just on the sheer amount of spamming he does.

He's also the only author nominated who is participating in the comments on the ComicMix site. You can't go anywhere on the Internet without finding Thunt there, shouting "hey, vote for me! also follow me on Twitter! and watch my livecam! and vote for me!" at everyone.

Hey, it works well so far, so why shouldn't he do that?

Gez, you have valid points. But when you list exactly two websites -- his own, and the contest site -- and say that you can't go anywhere on the internet without him talking about the contest? I think your argument's served better without ludicrous exaggeration.

Anyway. I think it's a valid opinion, though I have to disagree. It's the biggest thing happening in his life right now, so that's what he talks about. When he was moving, that was all he tweeted about for a few days. He's just incredibly excited about this competition and the prospect of winning it.

Remember that he doesn't consider his readers 'fans' that he can manipulate to do his bidding. He considers them his friends. When he posts his competition status, he's just trying to tell his friends how he's doing. And I don't know about you, but if I was in some sort of video competition my friends could vote for me in, I would definitely bug my friends about it (the ones that watch my videos, I mean).

It's not a bad thing, Gez is just seeing an attention hog trying to bully his fans into voting for him instead of a businessman promoting his work, which is what's actually happening.

Question remains: will AltMax give up and live or go down swinging? To this point they haven't killed anyone that wasn't actively trying to kill them. I'm not sure what the party would do if he begged for mercy--I don't think they could kill him. Of course, Thunt may just avoid the problem entirely as he kamikazes at them in hopelessness.

I don't know. I really have no idea what the party would do in such a situation. He seems like a wimp, and I think MinMax would kill him. Or Psimax will kill him off.

Holy crap, look at that blog post!

I think the person it's about could use some polite and sympathetic messages about now. Yeah, she completely misinterpreted the current page in an extremely horrible way and made no effort to look deeper to see if her first impression might be wrong, but that is nowhere near enough to deserve the kind of hate mail she's apparently been getting over it.

Her exact identity is deliberately not mentioned in the blog post, but it's not difficult to track it down elsewhere. I'd probably send a nice message myself, but I don't have an account on any of the sites in question.

To the people asking what happens to the demon if Alt-Minmax dies and has to restart:

I don't think it really matters. Psi-Max is still in play, and a while ago he stated that if you die this time, you die for good. So there's not going to be any more looping. That may change in the future, but as of now I'm assuming that's the plan. At least that's how I remember it.


Edit: On the blog post: I can see where she may have mistaken that the demon was talking to Kin when he said they were going to 'dog-pile' her soul (Seeing as she clearly didn't read the comic before and doesn't know who the 'baldy' he was talking to was). But in all reality, any intelligent person could have sorted that out by the end of the comic or could have went back a few comics to read what was up. =/. And she really did go out of her way to slander Thunt's comic all over the web.

Yeah, she attacked Thunt and the comic with false accusations. Then when this caused a backlash against her, she acted like it was Thunt's fault, because he couldn't control his fanbase.

I think i found the problem.


The poster in question has a Tumblr account.

From what i have seen of Tumblr, a vas majority of it is filled with people who get offended at even the slightest things, There is a reason the traditional Tumblr love poem reads as such:

Roses are red
But not all roses are red
You ablest [Redacted].

Yeahh, in short it's just full of people who overreact waay too much >_>
