Re: My Little Pony XXXIV: There is Pony of it, no exceptions!
Right, well don't say I didn't warn you
Chapter 2 of A Better World is up here
For ref:
Chapter 1
Prologue
I'm kind of happy how that chapter turned out in the end, mostly because it's a massive improvement over the prior two chapters (and also evidenced by the wordcount)
Still room for improvement though, one piece of advice I received, well after starting on this chapter, was not to introduce multiple characters all at once. Unfortunately, I went and had three intro-d in the same scene.
Oh well, on to Chapter 3
Oh well, c'est la vie.
Another piece of advice I'll try to hold to:

Re: My Little Pony XXXIV: There is Pony of it, no exceptions!
Aw, thanks. Don't feel under any obligation though, I'm mostly doing this as my version of Thanqol's Learn to Draw practice.
Part of me wants to tear up the Prologue and Chapter 1 and just start from Chapter 2, but I'll leave them there as testement to progress. (Or a horrible warning ... whatever )

Re: My Little Pony XXXIV: There is Pony of it, no exceptions!
Just saying hi, Ponythread! I'm still alive!
I've been pretty busy of late and haven't been keeping up with the forums, mostly just stopping into IRC. But I'm still here and still ponying. So yeah. Hi.Last edited by Neoseanster; 2011-12-18 at 10:25 PM.

Re: My Little Pony XXXIV: There is Pony of it, no exceptions!
I love this fandom more and more each day.
The fact that I can look at this piece and call it qualitatively beautiful is telling in and of itself.Last edited by Capt. Ido Nos; 2011-12-18 at 11:51 PM.

Re: My Little Pony XXXIV: There is Pony of it, no exceptions!
Sad news, ponies.
I don't know how many of you follow pony remixes, but iamnotacleverpony is leaving the fandom due to unspecified health concerns.
If you don't know who he was, here's his Youtube channel with links to most of his work. I don't know how you can call yourself a brony if you've never heard For The New Lunar Republic or The Stars Will Aid Her Escape, now's your chance to remedy that and/or send a brilliant and creative musician your best wishes

Proof-reading is totally unnecessary in the digital age now that we have spell cheque.

Re: My Little Pony XXXIV: There is Pony of it, no exceptions!
Hey everypony I have been looking into going to BroNYCon and was curious about a few things. First being are is anyone here going? Secondly who has gone before and how was it, is it worth the price tag plus cost of transit? Thirdly I heard that the after party is cancelled this time, anyone know how late its going because of that or if anything is happening after it?

Provide me, if you can, a demonstrable example of a chef or an engineer writing a compelling narrative.

Re: My Little Pony XXXIV: There is Pony of it, no exceptions!
There is a crash, a glomp and a squee, as Dirtbag hits the door and is in term hit by the pinkie launcher. After the dust settles, a piece of paper is found in the heap of door fragments: "gone lurking backson"
In all seriousness, there's usually enough discussion here without yours truly. Sometimes I do say something, but it's rare enough not to become a habit.

Re: My Little Pony XXXIV: There is Pony of it, no exceptions!
Regarding my previous post about archiving my logs of the IRC: some issues have been raised that I hadn't thought through as fully as I thought I had. I've decided to stop publishing the logs of #ponythread. I will, however, still be posting logs of #ponythreadRP and #newponyepisode.
Aye, I know that feeling. I would like to see you around more though. Any chance you'd like to give the IRC a try? *aims puppy eyes at fizmat*

...
...
Oh, for the love of tea and biscuits!
*facepalm*
Really, ponythread?
REALLY?
I don't post for twenty-four hours - twenty-four freaking hours - and you guys degenerate into arguements, pie-fighting and threats?
AGAIN?
I...
I can't leave you lot for five fragging minutes unsupervised, can I? Ye gods, I thought it was bad enough that week in the summer...
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL THAT REQUIRES AN EPIC-LEVEL LAWFUL EVIL SPACE LICH NECROMANCER TO KEEP YOU UNDER CONSTANT SURVEILLANCE TO PREVENT PONYTHREAD COLLAPSING FASTER THAN RARITY WHEN CONFONTED WITH A MUD-SPLATTERED EVENING GOWN?!?!?!?!
*skulldesk*
*skulldesk*
*skulldesk*
And Thanqol, I'll thank you to leave the threats around here to the professionals; lest your soul's intestines develop a sudden, urgent need to vacate the comfort of your spiritual insides and go on a galaxy-spanning tour, via means of exiting through your soul-nostrils at high velocity.
See, now that is a threat. The boss got 111% on the Orbital Bombardment Diplomacy on his promotion aptiude test!
That's like gunboat diplomacy, only more excessive.
You realise Shakespeare invented a large number of words (somewhere between a few hundred and two thousand, depending on your sources), right...?
(Of course, it's "probabilty", not "certainty", and would also depend on whether you think Shakespeare is "good"...)
