Hey folks,

I'm disappearing off to Denmark for about 10 days, starting tomorrow (although I can't say I'm looking forward to it =/) and I'll be back on Saturday 1st June. I'm not sure if folks are still interested in a little mini-meet thing on the Monday & Tuesday bank holiday weekend but if they are, I've got space for maybe one or two people to crash at mine afterwards.

I'll probably need a little cheering up after this. -.-

Thirdly: my exams are finished so I have three weeks floating around Oxford doing relatively nothing. If people want to come down, please do so. But remember to call or PM first. I can put you up for a night, but bring your own bedding.
I will also probably buy you lunch and/or dinner because I have money on my card and wish to spend it all!
In essence: I am bored. Entertainment is fun. If you are bored, maybe come by and say hi.

Yeah, 2nd of June, at my house in Whitley Bay (Though if possible I'd meet you when you arrived in Newcastle). I think I put 7:30pm as the start time on the facebook event. *checks* Yeah. Feel free to bring your own booze, though some will also be provided (My parents will probably fund it, so I could get stuff for you by request, though other people may also drink it).
I'd also have no objection if you were to turn up sooner and just stay until the party on Saturday. Though I guess the more extended visit was already a possible plan for the main meetup.

(Speaking of the main meetup, I will get to updating the info-post, I swear, and we should still be thinking about things, and sorting of venue is kind of in hand)

ION, I guess I'd mentioned before my upcoming NUGSS summer show as a thing people might be interested in. Facebook event has info and stuff. It's basically a G&S-style parody of Hamlet, with fairies, gender-bending, and a few crude jokes thrown in.

HOWEVER, I have my subject dinner that evening at seven. This means that I'll want to be off at around five, and I'll probably be dressed according to the subject dinner dress code - or close to it - in order to maximise time with you guys.

I don't think it affects me too much because the only stops in London are all near tube stations meaning I should be able to get anywhere fairly quickly.

Probably slim. I have a 24 hour gaming event I should be attending (being vice-president-to-be of the comp gaming society, plus it's a potential 24 hours of playing Minecraft or Anno 2070) that is Friday 6pm 'til Saturday 6pm (your party starts the Saturday, right?), so will be completely shattered over Saturday evening and Sunday. Plus, it looks like the tickets to Newcastle look to be a leetle expensive for some stupid reason (Returns are £60 WITH railcard?!?!?!).

Monday I should be available... I do have a selfish motive for going to Camden Market, 'cos I need to go shopping for clothes and I have been informed that it has my preferred style of clothing there. And... does anyone know if it does good dresses that would be half way decent for a "ball"?

There isn't a dress code. The reason I put it as "Ball" rather than Ball is because it's going to be an excuse for the guys to dress up vaguely smart, girls in pretty dresses (and geeky masks, which I need to make), and get pissed. So pretty much, as long as it's a pretty dress that looks good on me and is vaguely smart, then it'll be good.
