The reason I put it as "Ball" rather than Ball is because it's going to be an excuse for the guys to dress up vaguely smart, girls in pretty dresses (and geeky masks, which I need to make), and get pissed. So pretty much, as long as it's a pretty dress that looks good on me and is vaguely smart, then it'll be good.

Tradition dictates that you should wear a dinner (ankle) or tea (below mid-calf) length sleeveless dress, accompanied by a wrap or stole, gloves, and evening shoes.

Probably slim. I have a 24 hour gaming event I should be attending (being vice-president-to-be of the comp gaming society, plus it's a potential 24 hours of playing Minecraft or Anno 2070) that is Friday 6pm 'til Saturday 6pm (your party starts the Saturday, right?), so will be completely shattered over Saturday evening and Sunday. Plus, it looks like the tickets to Newcastle look to be a leetle expensive for some stupid reason (Returns are £60 WITH railcard?!?!?!).

Sorry, but it's just too expensive.
I'll save the pressies for July and you can have a (very) belated birthday present then.

Hello Cassie, my name is Curly, as a girl who's attended multiple functions at multiple dress code levels I'd be more than happy to assist. As for Camden Market selling dresses, yes they do, but if they're appropriate it depends on the dress code.

More details will probably be worked out once we've definitely booked the venue for the main meetup, which should be soon. It was mostly just saying that extending it could make the trip more worth it for those who have to travel further to get here, and I'm happy to have people here for additional time.
If anyone's still around on the monday evening, I will definitely skip out on a Pinafore rehearsal to take them to karaoke. That's my only specific idea at present.

Geeky mask was going to be based on the dress I got... and if I couldn't be bothered to find a dress, I'd go for a steampunk Phantom of the Opera-esque mask to go with slightly modified steampunk gear.

I do have a house mate now. FEAR NOT THOUGH! For it is Serpentine and I'm pretty sure she doesn't mind playgrounder invasions.

I have floor space going. Not sure how cramped people like to be when floor spacing but i can fairly confidently offer

a sofa,
an armchair,
3 or 4 on the floor in the living room
a matress in the spare room (bit full of boxes atm, might be able to fit one more in there)

It may be a bit selfish but i'd rather keep my own room free so I have somewhere to retreat to if I need a break but if we're hurting for space I'm not gonna be a **** about it.

Serpentine's rooom is hers to do with as she will.

Being a teenager I can pretty much sleep on any surface devoid of sharp edges, so if other people want to claim things like mattresses or sofas first then be my guest.

As an addendum to that, if I arrived at Newcastle Airport in the evening of the 6th (some time around 10), would it be possible for someone to pick me up? If not I can take public transport, but I have a terrible tendency to get myself lost on those things.

So, I hears from Facebook that there's a Camden thing.

I'm in a kind of awkward position where I was supposed to be somewhere else with some friends because we were gonna see Prometheus, but I haven't heard anything about it since last week, so I might be able to make it to Camden. Unless of course, they get back to me later today... in which case, Prometheus will win because, well... it's Prometheus.
