And then the panther bot waits to see if Ilpholin has any requests of it.

Megan will arrive in a couple minutes, as she has to get up from her lazy nap.

Megan gets emails in her sleep?

"Hello. Nice to see you again Megan. Please have a seat."

No, but her laptop has a really annoying You've Got Mail indicator that waked her up.
Megan does indeed take a seat, resting her hand on the panther bot's back lightly in almost a petting like motion.
"It's nice to see you again too, Ilpholin."
Oh, Megan is still wearing her Doctor Horrible outfit.

Ilpholin's Office

"Alright, let's get started. It says here you're Megan Zero. Should I be expecting clones like Moff or does your family have an unusual sense of humour?" Ilpholin asks, reviewing the form.

"Well...er...no. I'm the clone. You see...I was cloned from the original, who's name was Elena, when she was around two-ish, I believe. 9 clones were made and each one turned out...different. They were all flawed from the original. My flaw is that I'm more anti-social than the original. And I was given robotics instead of biology as my first subject, so I excelled at it..."
She pet the panther bot some more, caressing it's smooth metal shell.

"And this is the same Elena who you put as a reference, yes?" Ilpholin doesn't know if talking to yourself is a good idea! Clones kind of weird her out like that.

"I'd like you tell me a bit more about the Umbrella Corporation."

"Umbrella made me who I am today. They raised me from birth, they gave me the best education ever...but they didn't want my existence to really be known. Which is why everytime I made something, they'd take it and claim some other scientist did."
"Which when the poop hit the fan at Umbrella I didn't hesitate to get the hell out, along with Seltz."
"I didn't work on the virus that was deployed in there by outside forces though, if that's what you're wondering."

"Accccctually I was just wondering what it was and did." She had never heard of it before now!

Although apparently they grow people and make viruses!

"Oh." Megan said, her face going bright red.
"To the public, Umbrella was just a medicine company. However, to those in the know it also created bioweapons, super soldiers, clones, electronics, weapons...anything governments or private companies could use...they made it."
"Does that answer your question?"

"Yes, I do believe I've got the general idea of Umbrella." Ilpholin says.

"So tell me. What do you hope to see AMEN become, personally?"

"Ilpholin, I want AMEN to get on level with the other organizations, that's all. And anything you want to do...I'm behind you 100%, so long as you don't ask me to stop doing science."

"No. No intention of that. I would like a monthly report on your experiments though. Results and new projects and the like."

"So are we done here?" she said, petting her panther bot.

"Only if you turn me down if I ask you out for coffee."

"But yes. We are done here. Thank you for your time." She says in a very business like manner, as if she hadn't just said what she did.

It's a dark night over AMEN, as it usually is. And it might get a bit darker. Striding up the pathway to the volcano base is a well-dressed pale man, high-collared velvet cape streaming out behind him. Rot has returned to AMEN!

Rot walks confidently up to the front door and pushes it open before simply walking in, beckoning the female vampire who should be following him. He looks around the main room and scowls, displeased that the base has apparently been so wrecked in his absence. Of course, most of the damage has been fixed, but it still looks... as shoddy as AMEN always has. Well, there's still the Birth of Taul for Rot to be outraged about.

"Hello? What the hell's happened here?"

Lobby

Marciano looks over at the pair of vampires that walked in. He had never seen a real vampire before. He looks over at Rot's general direction, still smoking a fat, billowing, black cigar that seems ridiculous in the halfling's mouth. Marciano's teeth are horrid. Rotten, decaying, and full of cavities. He has quite a few gold teeth...(Made with real gold!) And he wears a very expensive royal blue petticoat with silver buttons. The kleptomaniac halfing begins to speak with that almost undecipherable cockney accent that had so confused poor Magtok. Oy! Who are you? M'name's Marciano. Tha' is pronounced "Mar-see-ya-no." Please. Learn th' name. I've 'ad some ratha' stupi' past targets call me some ridiculous names trying to say i'. I must 'ave tol' 'em fifteen times...not sure why they couldn' unda'stand me...?Say. Tha's a nice cape...'ow much is it? The greedy millionaire halfling spits out. Hiis tubby bodyguard Grantaire fiddles with his large mustache. Grantaire looks like a large potato grew limbs and a face....Both are halflings.

Megan hestitates for a moment.
But then she realizes Ilpholin just said coffee, not a date!
"I'd love to get some coffee!" she said as she stood up.

Rot stares at Marciano, unsure what to make of him. He understands the accent fairly well, but is still left a bit confused.

"I am Rot. The cape is priceless."

Not really. The vampire has tons of 'em. But he likes them a lot. Rot scowls, showing off his large fangs.

"Are you a member? Have we really sunken this low? Where's Gordon?"

Ilpholin bows and shows Megan out, setting a time for coffee later.

Marciano grins and begins to explain, Wel'. I'm no' a member yet. 'Owever it seems to be tha' I am paying most of AMEN's payroll a' th' moment. So essentially think of me as a...business partner of sorts. Afta' all. I'm spending most of a large fortune 'ere. I meself am a ratha' rich man. 'Ard earned gol' too. Go' i' off your very own denizens 'o' th' Nexus...made a rather large fortune off a ransom. Tha' an' I robbed a rich drow bard. Go' 'is hand too! No' sure wha' t' do with i' yet... The halfing takes out a plastic baggy. Inside is a shriveled drow hand that once belonged to Elkandar. Go' is girlfrien' too. Bu' no' before they roasted me good friend....sad really...more 'o' a share fo' me 'owever, so I'm no' complaining! It's a world where we all mustn't mind doing th' dirty work. I plan on starting a factory soon. Marciano grins right back at Rot with his less than pleasing teeth. Rot might find that Marciano's cigar and breath smells horrible...like an onion mixed with manure. It stinks.

Gordon! O'! I 'eard abou' 'im! See, there was a figh' with th' Maggy, some drow woman, this Gordon, an' a promoothheaso or wha'ever 'is name was....See. They fough' fo' leada'ship. Team sexy drow and cyborg guy won. So...Gordons probably in little bitty pieces on th' battlefield a' th' moment. Sad I wasn't there...ya can ge' a good price fo' a corpse...

Marciano might notice a robot panther stalking towards him.
If he tries to run or doesn't run, it'll try to pounce on him, pin him to the ground with all of its heavy metallic weight, and spray a foam on him that'll stick him to the ground like a fly in a fly paper.
"Neutralizing unknown intruder."
After all, Marciano wasn't a part of AMEN.

Rot... tunes Marciano out. That accent... That rambling. The vampire's attention is instead drawn to the robot panther sneaking up on the halfling. Rot, of course, doesn't warn him. Marciano'll have to learn to watch out for himself in AMEN. Also, it'll be hilarious if the panther actually mauls him.

"Mmm. Neat hand."

[Hattish Thing]

Well. Marciano was busy gloating. He did not notice the pantherbot until i's right behind him. Marciano's face fades into a deep deadpan. He knows what's about to happen....Sadly he'd been mauled and sat on before by rather large felines. >.< Sadly, the pantherbot manages to sit on top of the halfling. Marciano does not resist as he's stuck to the floor. Instead. He does the last thing possible....or at least what he thinks would be a good move. He spits the large cigar at the mechanical thing. He begins to yell out at Rot. ...I came 'ere...to buy meself a clone...and maybe support AMEN. NOT TO BE SAT ON BY A MECHANICAL CAT!!! The angry halfling begins to struggle a little. He once again explains. If you don't get this overgrown robot off of me....I am leaving....that and I'll be sure to sic my bodyguard on this thing. Grantaire stumbles over. His hands magically change into metal after he taps an amulet. Hey. Off Boss. The mighty halfling walks over to the panther.

Security Room

Cyan sits in the security room and quakes in fear as he sees who just came in. He puts a quavery hand out to push the 'alert the boss' button, which probably does something like blink a light on her phone or tablet computer or magical doodad for communicating with the Security Room. Assuming Ilpholin set up something like that already.

If she hasn't, then he'll have to actually send a messenger to tell her, which will take a little longer.

Well Mister Squiggles just got in there and is working on the security equipment and mainframe to do things just like that. Not fully installed yet, granted.

But Ilpholin will get the message one way or another. She'll arrive here shortly to see what the fuss is about.

Cyan is just as afraid of Mister Squiggles as he is of Rot!

When Ilpholin gets there, she'll find him cowering in the farthest part of the room from the scary spider.

"I don't want to be eaten. Please don't let them eat me. I'll do anything, just not that...."

"You really should reconsider a job as nursery maid or something. Yeesh." Ilpholin rolls her eyes and checks the screen.

Rot.

Well that's inconvenient. Ilpholin drums at the console in thought before going to step back out. "Stay here and you'll be fine." Terrified of Mister Squiggles the entire time perhaps. But fine.

Cyan stays. Because he already knows that running from Squiggles doesn't help. At all.

He is also terrified, as per the prediction in the OOC text.

I suppose it's a good thing she only glances at it briefly then, before folding it up and putting it into her belt. "Thanks." She says, with just the briefest of shudders. It was most fortunate timing the creature decided to turn that in right when Rot showed up.

Which is where she's headed now.
"Rot! Darling! You're back..." She says, glancing at the halfling being attacked by the panther and raising an eyebrow. She'd have to ask Megan about that.
