Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
Well of course! That is why I specified. If all danced, it would be self-evident by the name!

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
Born a few miles south of Dublin, raised mostly in Wales and London, currently just got my stuff in Australia. Gonna be here for a short bit.
Also, I WILL DISCO IF I WANT TO, DAMMIT!
...Though my dancing always winds up with me doing amateur stripper moves...

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
Hello everyone. I just wanted to pop in to say hello, and return with halfway decent news. It may turn out catastrophic, but I've (quickly) regained composure, and dealt with the recent friend-zoning. And in turn, found someone who I think likes me. Shared feelings may turn out better than the last event.
Steam username is Triscuitable.
I got VAC banned in COD: Ghosts for using an FOV changer.
I try not to think of how sad that is.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
I choose to make that mistake every time I read the word "cook" from now on.
Sounds fun! What parts of Oriental history are you more interested in?
I checked the website and it was actually an English edition I looked at.
From experience, I can tell that Swedish font size tends to be smaller than English font size, especially in soft covers. We also tend to not get softcovers in full size; we get only get hardcovers and pocket books. (Except if it's comics.)
Actually, could that be related to lamination? I could see where that'd make paperbacks popular early on... Not too far-fetched, considering how we still use yellow pencils.
I should change back now... Before people start to think I really am a lady...
Sorry, couldn't resist. I can understand how that'd feel off.
The fact I don't know much about Pokémon would just make it more fascinating to me, since I don't know what power levels we are talking about. OoTS (the siege of Azure City story-arc) and Manly Men Who Do Manly Things have given me a few clues, though...
I think the power scale ranges from 'domestic rat' to 'cosmic superpower', depending on type, rarity, etc. (even low-level ones can make earthquakes, tidal waves and whatnot at will, where higher-level ones can make meteor showers and spontaneously coat themselves in solid metal...)
Also, anything that can beat up certain Rock types can technically headbutt through a mountain.
Must... resist... pointing... and... laughing...
Plus, rain can be so pretty...

*Hugs*, late though they may be.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
THESE ARE JAZZ HANDS. AND THESE ARE GOLD!
Also, I only have one friend who is particularly frisky, but she's a little too female for my tastes. I just don't get boobs, I feel rather indifferent towards them. Also the lack of a penis will be hard to deal with, as I am (at least I think I will be) mostly a bottom. Of course this could change, I'm still holding out for the right moment to have my first kiss.

Squeegasm-heart-attack-gigglefit!
Seriously Shiro you will be the death of me!
Which is odd because usually the part of me that's completely jaded about love would've piped up and made me say something *******ish. This is cause for celebration!

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
Oh, that's an improvement.
I don't think there's really anything bad about exploring your identity / self.
Read it; it was nice to see how it was a very isolated case though and everyone rallied. (And the sad thing is that this was a really really mild case all things taken in account. I really should just stay away from reddit.)
Yay.
Again: squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

Astrella's random links:
It gets bender: a video promoting trans* beauty.
Less good news: a really transphobic posing as feminists page on Facebook (Trigger Warning: Transphobia). It'd be nice if those of you with FB accounts could take a few moments to report it so that we can get rid of it.

On the bright side, a number of people are doing a rather good job at trolling the owner of that facebook page.

Re: LGBTAitP - Part 21: BLACKJACK!
I like this page: Bisexuality is real There are also pages on homosexuality, asexuality, etc.
I see what you did there.
That's... A good question, actually. I'll probably get a lot more studied if I figure that part out...
Huh. American bookstores tend to have at least as many paperbacks as hardbacks floating about. I always assumed that that was due to soft-covers being easier to carry around, but they're probably just cheaper to print or something.
Actually, could that be related to lamination? I could see where that'd make paperbacks popular early on... Not too far-fetched, considering how we still use yellow pencils.
What'd be wrong with that?
Sorry, couldn't resist. I can understand how that'd feel off.
Manly Men Who Do Manly Things, eh? Haven't heard of that, but I'm already interested from how similar it sounds to jokes I make.
I recommend you to start from the beginning if you haven't read it earlier, especially considering that the main protagonist isn't his usual self. WARNING: The creator (a lady BTW) is not a big fan of bishies, but she does like MLP:FIM. (She's also against homophobia and transphobia.)
Here's when the Pokemon related stuff starts: http://thepunchlineismachismo.com/archives/99

That's okay - I'm sure I laughed enough for both of us.
D'awwwwwww!!!
It is!
I don't think there's really anything bad about exploring your identity / self.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the issue isn't as much as he has a *female* persona, as that he might be afraid he will prefer to be that persona rather than his "real" self, and start to *believe* he really *is* that persona.
(Pop psychology over-load, sorry...)
Read it; it was nice to see how it was a very isolated case though and everyone rallied. (And the sad thing is that this was a really really mild case all things taken in account. I really should just stay away from reddit.)
But yeah, trans persons looks great , and trans persons, and people in general, should feel better about their looks in general.
Less good news: a really transphobic posing as feminists page on Facebook (Trigger Warning: Transphobia). It'd be nice if those of you with FB accounts could take a few moments to report it so that we can get rid of it.
Tangent:
SpoilerI think you can be a feminist, and yet be homo-, bi-, and/or transphobic. Someone can have a generally well-meaning world-view tainted by prejudice and bias against some groups of people. Otherwise we'll start having "No true Scotsman" arguments.
I wish it was Edgar Allan Poe. He was a great poet.
Oh, you mean Poe's Law. No, this seems to be genuine hate. Even if it was "only" trolling, it's still spreading hate and contempt. Just because one is a troll, doesn't mean that the troll isn't believing his/her/hir own lies.
No offence intended toward Homestuck or mythological Scandinavian trolls. You seem to be nice... most of you.
