    Here's some tax:

The story goes that I was playing a techie in a star wars game. After the party went and killed an entire sandcrawler worth of jawas, I came in later, hollowed it out, sealed it all up and wedged some rocket engines into it. Then we took it out and flew it into space. The DM let us mount a single station-sized weapon into it since it had so much unused space.

Pretty sure that the Sand Crawlers were originally land-based mining vehicles that went around the planet mining an extremely valuable commodity… which they later realized was only present on the very surface of the planet. After it was gone, the civilization that used them up and left, leaving the vehicles there.

Interestingly enough, the Dune series has a series of mining vehicles that travel the planet mining Spice, which is an extremely valuable commodity which is only present on the very surface of a desert planet…

If memory serves, the sandcrawlers are mining vehicles abandoned on tattooine wholesale. The jawas didn't change much, they just turned off/removed the ore processing parts from the vehicles and just drove them around from place to place.

Actually, they more than likely repurposed the ore processing parts into scrap processing duty.

In other news, we've reached page 49. We should probably discuss a proper name for the next thread. I propose:

I think we've only been using Star Wars references since V. While we could continue on that, we could also mix it up a bit, if we so wished.

    Speaking of which, how about:

D&D Demotivators VII: The Deathly Hallows

D&D Demotivators VII: The Last Battle

D&D Demotivators VII: Ultimate Power, Activate Burst Mode!!

EDIT: I kinda agree with the BigHugeLabs one. Also, to help alleviate that problem in the future, we could go back to linking to AutoMotivator in the OP. Just a thought…

Yes, but with just a click of a button you save them to imgur directly from Automotivator, making it ridiculously easy.

Assuming it is canon, the first Knight of the Old Republic video said that mining companies keep coming to the planet to mine for ore. However there is something "wrong" with the ore and if you try to make something out of it then it just falls apart. Once they realise this they depart the company, but don't bother spreading the word so then some other new company comes in and the cycle continues.

FROM THE GARDEN OF MY MIIIIIND. Incidentally, a belated happy Fred Rogers Day to you all.

But in all seriousness, I just look at a picture and try to think of what fits. Sometimes it's a quote from a poem or song, and sometimes a phrase just forms itself in my head. I've usually got to do a little digging and refinement here and there, but I think it's worth it in the end.

    Thanks for asking.

On the WoTC Vbulletin threads for demotivators, there was a picture explaining that BigHugeLabs does not store images, three separate threads were named some variation of that statement. There were still people that posted directly from BigHugeLabs, several times a thread, some even after being told that after posting from BigHugeLabs.

Everyone should knowing something is not a guarantee of them actually knowing it. You could make the first demotivator on every page such an explanation and people would still do it.

Everyone SHOULD know. Should rarely means anything in the real world. This is the same world where we have to have disclaimers like 'Car is not a skateboad. Do not attempt' or 'Do not use microwave to dry pet' or 'Do not pour liquids into the television set'.
