Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Thanks for responding Savanah, love the icon.
The ideas of a play by post sounds more convenient and I am ready and roaring to have a go but I still have two questions.
1) How different are the different versions?
2) I just decide stuff like race and class at the beginning of the campaign right?
Thanks again, it's nice to know that this forum thread has accomodating people.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hi guys! Ive been a fan of the Order of the Stick for a long time. I even did a series of paper miniatures based on the stick figure idea I saw so cunningly used on the Order.
So I finally come to get on the forums and say howdy.
I'm a player and GM of role playing games. I was a truck driver for a decade or so, but my back is out so I'm pretty much just me now, which is a Dad of three and husband to the most wonderful woman I could never deserve. I am in recovery from food addiction, and have by the 12 step program gone from 373# in August 2011 to 225# on the first of March.
I am running a Star Wars/ Dungeon World hack called Star Worlds, available from the author's blog Here and free, this Saturday for a group I am new to. I am into the small, preferably free games one can find here and there on the web. My latest finds are Star Worlds, Dungeon World (maybe-- I ain't bought it yet) and Michtim: Fluffy Adventures.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
So, greetings. I've been reading the comic (and browsing the forums for a bit) for... dunno.. eight years? Oftentimes i felt compelled to answer a comment; but the reason by which i allowed myself to step up now is the newest development in OOTS-Verse.
Nice to be here. *Leaves a bowl of cookies*

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Umm, hello~~
New at the playgrounds, i've been following a lot of posts from this forums (relating D&D 3.5) though.
I'm not too familiarized with every D&D term (only played since a year ago), so don't expect me to have a straight answer; also I'm not a noob, I am just a newbie on the forums~~
Nice to meet you all, people~~Check out which is the Playground's favorite Dragon!

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hi!
I am a reader of the Order of the stick for several years, but I decide to register myself after Durkon death.
I used to play D&D in pen and paper, but after my son was born, I didn't found the time anymore, and now I only play the computer games (Baldur's gate was my favorite). I also play D&D online.
And I'm Portuguese (so my english isn't the best).

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hi, I read through all OOTS over the course of a long weekend (to the detriment of my wife, and also of my sleep ), and now I signed up to the forum to take part in the death pool. I'm a D&D 4.0 player and DM, though currently without game, and thus looking to OOTS to fill my adventuring needs. Nice to be here!

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hello Everyone!
I am pretty new to the D&D world. My DM is a very good friend of mine who has been talking about OOTS for years. I found it online recently and read the whole comic in about a week! Funnily enough, I recognized a lot of our adventures looking incredibly similar to the encounters the Order of the Stick face. (maybe he didn't think we'd know about it)
I am excited to join this forum as a new avenue to connect with people who enjoy the things that I enjoy. I may ask some clarifying questions of rules and things relating to D&D 3.5, or ask for a translation on terms I may not understand (My DM said: "Well, they'll be using a lot of terms you don't necessarily know yet, like Point Buy and LA buy off", and he's right) so thanks in advance for being patient.
Thank you for welcoming me into the playground!“The world is indeed full of peril and in it there are many dark places. But still there is much that is fair. And though in all lands, love is now mingled with grief, it still grows, perhaps, the greater.”

Well, registered just yesterday, and I'm really bad at presentations. But I hope to make your acquaintance through the posts I make in the future. Long time reader and a complete geek/nerd (both), hope I fit. Interested in RP but never got into it, maybe this forum will change that. Cheers.

Oh, hey, guys. Guess I'm back, then. Basically my computer went kaput, and I'm having to make do for the time being with my smartphone.
