"Yup!" Jamie chirps, smiling happily. "And, well, we're relaxing. Fishing's a good way to do that, just to do nothing and enjoy life."
Unless, of course, you actually catch any fish.
But that would defeat the purpose of fishing!

"Sure, let me get the bread out of the ovens and put the potatoes in, and I'll take you out to meet people," Tito offers.

"Good lad," Thel says exiting the pantry, the food pile stacked higher than last time. Taking a bite out of a fresh carrot, "Glad jer prahoritishs er shtraight."

"Wha happened to takin' it slow." Maggie asks, presumably quirking an eyebrow.

"Can't bally well get seconds while I'm out and about can I?" he answers.

Maggie gets up and offers Tito her assistance. "Let oi help yee with them taters."

"Yeah,r, I live in the forest,r, and I hunt things,r, and sometimes I help some of the people,r, or play with my friends,r! You're friends with Tito and Lily,r?"

Why does she put those rolling r's in her sentences?

Sometimes?

Main Cabin

She is a part cat, so clearly those r's are her purring mid-sentence. She must like Justin.

"Yeah, I'm friends with their dad, and I sort of became a family friend. All the Applehills are nice," he answers.

I agree, though I did catch a gudgeon once. It was a gorgeous fish.

Anyway, Oddball better not be fishing. All he can do is be the bait. Although should Jamie try fishing, he'll use Sweet Scent in the hopes that it helps.

Lume (an 8-foot tall being of pure, opalescent light) arrives at his destination. Seeing that Quinn is busy, Lume decides to quietly stand aside and wait for Quinn to finish what he's doing.

Jasmine examines the picture. "Can we try fishing? Not in a picture? I want to know what it's like."

It might be interesting, she thinks. She kind of wants to learn a lot of these new things. She mainly knows what they mean, but she doesn't really understand any of them.

Yes... because that is the logical series of sentences in this situation.

Jamie pulls off her beret and sets it down with her pallette.
"I think there's some fishing rods in the boathouse."

Brinika's ears twitch.
"People say us goblins and halflings are small. But maybe it's everyone else who are big," she observes.

Oddball hops up and hurries after Jamie. Hopefully she'll notice, otherwise he may be left behind quite quickly. He'll keep away from Jasmine, too.

Jamie does indeed notice! And will go to pick up Oddball and put him on her shoulder, the better to let him keep up.

Jasmine will follow Jamie to the boathouse. She will shoot oddball a look, but not one of those... almost creepy curious looks she had before.

Maybe she's given up on getting an oddish sample for now...

Oddball loves sitting on Jamie's shoulder. He can see much further now than he could before, and he can even see the tops of tables and things!

"Thank you, ma'am," Tito says. It does take a bit of work for him to get a day's worth of bread out of the oven for the campsite, and then put a day's worth of potatoes in, when he's so little, so the help from a big person is useful.

After this is done, and Thel has filled up, Tito will lead them outside, where they could encounter anyone.

A little bird flies down and tries to land on Tito's head. "Chick-a-deeee!" It's a type of chickadee, an American variety of tit, but I have forgotten what type again.

Yuki happily follows the people who know where this apparently delicious treat is kept. Her wings fluttering behind her in the wing, an occasionally shiver flaring them out. She is still getting used to the feeling of the extra weight and how they catch the wind.

Keo is quiet for a minute, and then her eyes get really big.

"If you were really small, you would be normal size, and everyone would be really big."

This realization seems to have utterly blown her mind.

As they step into the boathouse, Jasmine's eyes shift a bit. They change in shape a little, and reflect more light. If Jamie gets a good look, she'll recognize them as deer eyes. Human eyes simply are not as good in low-light conditions.

She steps over to a couple of fishing rods. "Here, these are them, right?" She gestures to them.

"I wish the substance itself had curative properties," Lume sighs, "But it is merely ectoplasm. However, with my capacity to manipulate soul energy - which ectoplasm is a type of - I can use it to heal."

Meanwhile, wibbley-wobbley timey-wimey stuff has happened, and Jamie reaches the kitchen where she grabs spoons and bowls. "Can you get the ice cream, Aly?" she asks Alysha.

Alysha nods to Jamie, a large smile on her face. Which is perfectly normal. One could assume Alysha is always smiling.

She opens the freezer and sticks her head in to take inventory of the flavors available. There's neapolitan, chocolate chip cookie dough, mint chocolate chip, french vanilla, and black cherry. Which one you guys want? She's already pulled out the cookie dough, as that's her flavor of choice.

Speaking of Quinn's previous helpers, Krystal walks towards the main cabin, leading her new friend to the building. Her new friend being Gird, a teenage minotaur. He also carries a pet goat named Ba.

"I'll try cookie dough as well."

She doesn't know her favorite flavor but figures trying them all would end up with some regertable circumstances in her stomach.

Zero doesn't say anything. He just responds to Valaria's kiss with a high degree of enthusiasm.

Hmm... I wonder...

Is Valaira no longer in trouble with Sophie since Valaira was deadtimed for a week?

"Um..."

"Zero, we should probably get back to eating breakfast. There may be children about."

Valaira is blushing. She's redder than a tomato! She's embarrassed by this pubic display of infinite affection! If they were indoors this would have been splendid news to her! But outside...

She won't surrender to the temptation to commence sloppy make-outs with Zero in the middle of camp! Never!

She's trying not to, in any case.

Well Zero wouldn't want Valaria to be embarrassed on his account so he does in fact go back to eating his breakfast.

He does remember that Sophie is coming along at some point and wonders if she decided that what he had told her wasn't that big of a deal after all.

Outside

The chickadee flies off Tito's head, but doesn't fly far, landing on the ground not too far away. Then, it slowly stops being a chickadee, getting larger and changing colour. The feathers are absorbed into its skin, which slowly changes into a green dress. The feet change shape, the toes taking a more humanoid position and lengthening into human feet. The wings turn into arms, fingers separating out and developing fingernails. Meanwhile, the beak and head changes shape and the feathers turn into long, black hair.

When the change is complete, Natalie frowns slightly. "I thought we were friends, Tito, and now you threaten to eat me." She doesn't mean it though, and smiles after. "I'm glad I can do that, now; I have magic clothes that change with me."

Boathouse

Oddball is still on Jamie's shoulder, gazing at the boats. He's still occasionally glancing suspiciously at Jasmine, though.

"For an average human I'm short and skinny," Justin answers. "As for what's normal, it's really a matter of where you are, I think. I bet in Underside, more stuff is goblin sized right?"

Outside

"By Jove!"

"Amazin'!"

The two woodlander people are absolutely mystified by what they just saw. There's no magic like that where they're from, if there is any at all. They're on her in an instant, looking her over trying to see how she did it.

"How did she a'go from a bird to a gurl?" Maggie asks, trying to prod her with a moley finger.

"Magic clothes? Unbelievable. I've seen a lot in my day but real, true and blue, bally ol' magic? Incredible!" the hare eared old man, Thel, exclaims. He's so excited he isn't even eating from his plate.

"Wow, Natalie! I didn't know you could do that!" Tito says. "Natalie, this is Maggie and Thel. They just arrived here at GLoG. This is my friend Natalie. She doesn't live here, but she visits a lot."
