Well yeah but the thing is, there's been two victims, this night. If the vampire is ramping up the rate of the killings as long as Doc's here that's still a pretty efficient threat.

Honestly i think the gorillas are deserving what they get at this point.

If they are stupid enough, to throw the guy who traveled from the other side of the earth down to help them, down into the river, then they also deserve to get eaten by vampires.

Throwing Doc out of the city is understandable. Stupid, but understandable. Throwing him into the river to die when he's trying to help you is inexcusable though.

Need to go a bit further with this. Remember how the original Apeula was created via a ritual for eternal youth gone wrong involving gorilla blood. Methinks Adisa is attempting to get the ritual RIGHT, with a need for virgin gorilla blood or somesuch.

To go one step further, there is a possibility his wife isn't dead and he's attempting this for her sake, or perhaps he thinks the ritual might bring her back from the dead.
