But yeah, it references the first paragraph in each contest, which says "fight for the right to keep your kneecaps." It's just a funny little line for laughs.

I was wondering if first-time brewers are welcome in these challenges. I have a certain idea in mind, using a Psychotherapist / Psi-Surgeon / Asylum Warden theme.

He uses some Psi-Lobotomy (some psionic eldritch blast) of sorts to erode (or sometimes, fix) people's mental state, usually incorporating Chirurgeries (invocations) to further apply debilitating Disorders (essences), alter the Transmission (shape) method, or manifests effects from his own insane-reality Nightmares (others).

I am trying to experiment on a system which uses "counters" on targets (mind fragments as PP) that are harvested to make the Chirurgeries stronger (augmentable invocations).

That's not necessarily the problem... Ley Engineer, Cycle Warden, Astronomer, and Extractor all had relatively complicated mechanics. It helps if you can write them in a way that's accessible and intuitive, I guess.

Exactly, mine was pages after pages of rules and additions and errata. Let's just say it didn't work out

Haha, fair enough. Seems like that's more a subsystem than a standalone class... maybe something worth expanding into a larger project? (Yay, I am the avatar of scope creep!)

For a large project, i got the "possessed" pending, basically a class-making tool for representing someone who gets power from something that wants control (demonic blood, inner darkness, evil ancestor's spirit, the Hulk or what-have-you). But since the powers and terms of use (so to speak) vary between sources, a single class won't do.

My writing skill is forever a WIP and I guess I'm kinda new to it, too, so I'll keep those tips in mind. I'm a fan of Cycle Warden's fluff, actually, and the writing is pretty intuitive as well.

Alright, I wanna bounce a concept idea off of you. Removers of Disturbances roam the world, hunting unnatural beings and users of dark magic, seeking to rid the world of their maddening influence.

They are an invoking class, with abilities split cleanly between damage, debuff, and healing, with a unique sanity-healing capability. They have numerous defensive abilities, which are most effective against spellcasters and Aberrations.

Seems like a good idea?

As long as the creation is your own, it's okay. If it's rewording, rebalancing ideas, ideas for other abilities but not completely worded and made stuff, it's fine. There's a line where having another person make parts of your work is too much.

On that note I think I'm not going to be able to make my class due to lack of quality time this month and unlike the Chorister which was something I could throw together in a day this one will take a fair bit of effort... it was going to use soul melds. Which would require me to learn incarnum better.
