Looking for a new 3.5 game to fill time between the one I'm currently playing.

I can DM or PC, prefer PC but frequently wind up DMing.

I'm very flexible as to other specifics, my only request is that I can't play in person -- would prefer to play online via Roll20 if at all possible.

    Please PM with interest!

    Recruitment Thread

I tend to be fairly serious about my role playing and story telling, and my main goal with this play by post is to create a very unique and memorable story that contains epic moments of both success and loss. I am fairly easy to work with, and if there's something that you want to do, usually all you need to do is convince me using excellent narrative or reasoning and I'll typically allow it.

I'm also very vigilant. I have all my threads notify me as soon as somebody posts, and the same goes for email. During the day [GMT -7] I typically see any new posts within 15 minutes of the post and as a result my responses are not much further behind.

    Edit: Updated 1/22/16

I'm looking for 1-2 more players interested in running the "Rise of the Runelords" adventure path in Pathfinder. We've started the campaign, but lost some players.

    We currently have:
    -A melee paladin
    -A secondary-melee rogue
    -A gunslinger

    We need:
    -someone to lead them

    Here are the big 16:
    Spoiler: Big 16
    Show

    1. What game system are you running (D&D, Call of Cthulu, Palladium, GURPS, etc.), and if applicable what edition (Original, Classic, Revised, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 10th, etc.)?
    Pathfinder

    2. What 'type' or variant of game will it be (i.e. "Shadow Chasers" or "Agents of Psi" for d20 Modern)? What is the setting for the game (eg. historic period, published or homebrewed campaign setting, alternate reality, modern world, etc.)?
The "Rise of the Runelords" adventure path (Anniversary Edition), starting with Burnt Offerings and ending with Spires of Xin-Shalast

    3. How many Players are you looking for? Will you be taking alternates, and if so, how many?
    4-6, with alternates

    4. What's the gaming medium (OOTS, chat, e-mail etc.)?
PbP on these forums. I prefer it if you can post daily or more.

    5. What is the characters' starting status (i.e. experience level)?
    Level 1

    6. How much gold or other starting funds will the characters begin with?
    Starting wealth

    7. Are there any particular character classes, professions, orders, etc. that you want... or do not want? What are your rules on 'prestige' and/or homebrewed classes?
Anything first-party is fine (meaning not 3pp stuff). Homebrew/3rd party on a case-by-case basis.

    8. What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game? Will you allow homebrewed races or species? 'Prestige' races or species?
    Any first-party. Homebrew on a case-by-case basis.

    9. By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points?
    20 point-buy
Max HP at first level, average after that
2 traits, and consider the Feats of Varisia to be Campaign Traits.
One other note: the OP requested players use low-medium power builds to experience the campaign the way Paizo intended, which we've softly defined as tier 4-6 on this Pathfinder tier list, so keep that in mind.

    10. Does your game use alignment? What are your restrictions, if so?
    No restrictions

    11. Do you allow multi-classing, or have any particular rules in regards to it?
No multiclassing penalties (not that PF has them)

    12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game? Will die rolls be altered, or left to the honor system? If players can make die rolls, which ones do they make, how should they make the rolls, and how should they report them?
You make your own die rolls in the OOC thread for anything non-combat, then include the result in your post. Combat handled as below.

    13. Are there any homebrewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about? If so, list and explain them, or provide relevant links to learn about these new rules.
Nope, just the alternate combat rule below

    14. Is a character background required? If so, how big? Are you looking for anything in particular (i.e. the backgrounds all ending up with the characters in the same city)?
A paragraph or so for backstory. The adventure starts on the first day of autumn in Sandpoint, a small coastal town, when the town is holding the Swallowtail Festival to celebrate the completion of a new cathedral. So in your backstory, add a sentence or two for why your character is attending the festival. If you need help, let me know via post or PM and we'll work something out.

    15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above?
As the adventure path. I assume it's slanted toward combat, but haven't read the whole thing yet.

    16. Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements, or will you be allowing access to non-standard material? What sources can Players use for their characters?
Anything first-party (meaning not 3pp stuff) is legal. If it's not on d20pfsrd, PM it to me and I'll allow it. Anything else on a case-by-case basis.

We're also doing combat slightly different from normal to leave more time for roleplaying:
    Spoiler: Alternate combat rule
    Show
In between combat rounds, write down your character's combat tactics (what your character wants to do during a combat round) on your character sheet. It can be as specific or general as you like, and you can change it at any time, even temporarily. Then I'll run the encounter for the round and post the results. There'll be 24 hours between each round, but for trivial encounters (that you've seen before/can't lose) I'll just run the whole thing and post results.

So for example, here are the (very general) combat tactics for a (3.5) warblade with Charging Minotaur, Douse the Flames, Moment of Perfect Mind, and Punishing Stance:
    Spoiler
    Show
    Combat Tactics:
(immediate) If I need to make a will save, Moment of Perfect Mind
(swift) Activate Punishing Stance if it isn't active
    1. (full round)
    a. if an enemy should be moved, or if I can push them into a trap/hazard, use Charging Minotaur
    b. if an ally needs to move past an enemy, use Douse the Flames
    c. charge attack
    2. (move) move up to an enemy, (standard) attack

On an escort mission, do the same, but Charging Minotaur to keep enemies away from the target.

In general, put the thing you want to do most at the top, and I'll go down the list. In the example above, I'd use a 1. full-round action if possible, and the 2. move and attack (or as much of it as is possible) if not. If I encounter a situation your tactics don't cover, I'll try to make the best decision possible for you, eg. cast spells/ranged attack from the furthest possible distance or behind cover, focus the group on taking down enemies one at a time instead of lowering the HP of a bunch of different enemies, and attacking the easiest-to-kill or most-dangerous enemies first.

On the other hand, I'll play the enemies by the tactics given in the books. And where the tactics don't cover a situation, I'll try to play them according to their INT scores, where int 10 is average, eg. move in groups, fight until knocked out/heavily outnumbered/heavily outmatched (then run away), don't gang up on 1 person.

Here's an example of how combat with the above warblade and a healbot cleric would play out against a pair of goblins:
    Spoiler: Combat
    Show
(Presumably there'd be a map above this showing precombat position, assume all combatants are 60' apart on an open plain with weapons drawn, and that rolls are in the OOC thread.)
    Initiative:
    Warblade 20
    Healbot 14
    Goblin-1 16
    Goblin-2 13

    Round 1:
Warblade activates Punishing Stance and charges at Goblin-1. (Note: Warblade is weilding a Spiked Chain, so stops 5' short).
    11 misses Goblin-1.

Goblin-1 steps up 5' and attacks Warblade.
    5 misses.

Healbot moves to 30' behind Warblade.

Goblin-2 steps up 5' attacks Warblade with his morningstar.
    22 hits and possibly crits.
    21 confirms the crit.
    Goblin-2 deals 12 damage (Warblade HP 3)

    Round 2:
    Warblade attacks Goblin-1.
    8 misses.
    Warblade retreats 5'.

Goblin-1 steps up 5' and attacks Warblade with his morningstar.
    14 hits.
    Goblin-1 deals 3 damage (Warblade HP 0)
    Warblade is staggered.

Healbot moves behind Warblade and casts CLW.
He heals 7 HP (Warblade HP 7)

Goblin-2 steps up 5' and attacks Warblade.
    5 misses.

    Round 3:
    Warblade attacks Goblin-1.
    18 hits.
    Warblade deals 13 damage (Goblin-1 is KO'd)

    Healbot moves back 30'.

Goblin-2 takes one look at his fallen partner, who got 1-shot, then at the 2 opponents left, and runs away.

Warblade and Healbot each get 100 XP.

The minor details would be different for PF, but the format would be the same. I'll make a bunch of rolls for each combat and post them in the OOC thread and assign them 1 at a time as an action comes up. So you can follow what happened (and perhaps gain a little more information about your enemies than you normally would, but that's fine). I won't make it my mission to kill the party, but I won't go easy on you either (so, you know, don't be too reckless).

If you're interested, here's a link to the OOC thread. Please read through the IC and OOC posts we've already made and then send me a PM with your character sheet or questions, rather than posting in one of those threads.

Recruiting one player for a Pathfinder Tomb of Horrors game. I've been on sort of an old-school kick lately … and the Tomb is going to scratch that itch. The party you would be joining is just finishing their first combat encounter (they haven't even cracked into the tomb yet). This would be a great time to join in!

Currently, the party is just about full up on melee capability, healing, and crafty trapfinding goodness. They are, however, woefully unrepresented in the arcane department.

    The current lineup is:

    • A dwarven paladin (now with 100% more Axe!).
    • An elven treesinger druid and his faithful sapling treant companion.
    • An elven dual-dagger rogue. Trapfinder. Deathdealer.
    • A duergar vitalist. Healer. Psionic powerhouse, and all around nice lady.

Here is the re-recruitment thread. Give it a look-see. Pull up a <virtual> chair!

Looking for one player to make a 4th character in a gitp pbp. We NEED someone less squishy. Starting ASAP at 1st level. Mid range optimization and low range cheese. Some focus on plot and story.

Currently have a GM, a Wiz/Swiftblade, a Factotum/Cloistered Cleric, and some sort of cold focus 'necromancer' that i haven't read yet. WE NEED someone who will frontline, with AC, BAB, and DPR in the early levels, till the other builds get less squishy.

Our GM is Molan and you can pm him from your settings/profile.

Looking for members (players and GMs) for the One-Shot Club: think book club but a different RPG every month.

Games will be chosen by vote, and the process for everything (PbP or Skype or both?) will be decided as a group. If there's a game you've been dying to play/learn, this can be your chance. No long-term commitment required.

    Tentative Game List*
Games will be marked as "Yes" in the "Interest?" column once two or more people recommend the same title.

*Editions and games are always subject to change.
**Some games are small enough that maybe a whole month can be dedicated to these quick one-shots.

Default Recruiting Players: Stone Age, D&D 3.5, 1st level

******* This game has 5 players. Recruiting is over, but may********** *******reopen if we lose people.*****************

I need players for a game which I'd like to start in about a week.

    Reply here.

I have the basic books (Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Monster Manual) for 3.5 edition. If there is something from another book that you want to bring in, I'll consider it, if you can provide me with all of the information.

I can promise to post twice a day. I will also have stretches of hours during which I will be able to post more rapidly almost every week. I will try to let you know in advance when those will be.

The game will start in a stone age setting. It will be on a remote island. Your village, Orongo, is a meager scrap of land on a headland of an island called Rapa Nui. Your people once held a larger part of the island, but nature rose against them. It is said that an army of trees and vines forced them back to the lands you currently hold. You hold them thanks to the magic of the Moai sculptures that stand on the coasts at the edge of your village.
Spoiler: How much do you want to know ahead of time?
    Show
If you want to preserve more surprise don't read these spoilers.

There are other neighbors. It's even said that there were dragons inhabiting the peaks inland at one point. They've not been seen in living memory, however.
Spoiler: Arrowhawks are known to circle constantly over the tiny island of Motu Nui.
    Show
This spoiler field intentionally left blank.
Reptilian Kobolds, Lagartoi, and Lacertoin each hold their own villages nearby. They are, in a sense, your peers.
Spoiler: They might be the only other people in the world.
    Show
Not much chance of that. I'm heavily influenced by Jared Diamond. You've been warned.

These lizard folk have been known to squabble amongst each other. Religious wars that make no sense to you. In days long past there was fighting between Orongo and the others, but peace has held for generations,
Spoiler: and there's no reason for it to end now.
    Show
The peace is over, from the get-go.

Spoiler: All in all, you've been born into an idyllic existence on a tropical paradise.
    Show
You're going to watch most of your people die...if you're lucky.

No inner voices in your posts. If you want someone else to know what your character is thinking tell them with words, facial expressions, whatever.

I'm eager to hear your character ideas. Let your imaginations run wild. Is there a prestige class you want to play? Do you want to become a lycanthrope? Is there some historical or cultural archetype that you would like to explore as a character? Let's see what we can work out.

Spoiler: Ideas you don't want to post openly?
    Show
If you don't want to tell the other players that you want your character to become an assassin, for example, you have the spoiler tags and private messages; so use them.

Hey, I'm setting up what I hope to be a longer term persistent game in the style of the guilds in Fairy Tail, in which characters take missions and just generally explore and grow. It'll be open for recruitment indefinitely, I think, so people can come and go as they please. Here's the link.

    Edit: Recruitment closed.

Recruiting for an Evil 3.5 campaign in the Eberron setting.

    Recruitment thread here:http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showt...9#post19835309

    Here's the big 16:
    Spoiler: Big 16
    Show

    1. What game system are you running (D&D, Call of Cthulu, Palladium, GURPS, etc.), and if applicable what edition (Original, Classic, Revised, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 10th, etc.)?

    D&D 3.5

    2. What 'type' or variant of game will it be (i.e. "Shadow Chasers" or "Agents of Psi" for d20 Modern)? What is the setting for the game (eg. historic period, published or homebrewed campaign setting, alternate reality, modern world, etc.)?

Evil party in the Eberron Campaign Setting, other than that no special variants.

    3. How many Players are you looking for? Will you be taking alternates, and if so, how many?

1-3,no alternates, if something does cause us to lose a player partway through, I'll start a new recruitment thread.

    4. What's the gaming medium (OOTS, chat, e-mail etc.)?

Skype for talking to each other and scheduling, Tabletop Simulator for actual gameplay.

    5. What is the characters' starting status (i.e. experience level)?

    Level 1

    6. How much gold or other starting funds will the characters begin with?

Standard starting gold rolls by class

    7. Are there any particular character classes, professions, orders, etc. that you want... or do not want? What are your rules on 'prestige' and/or homebrewed classes?

Artificer is my personal favorite class, but I'm willing to allow any. I am thinking of a more high-powered campaign, so higher tier classes are preferred, but I'm not going to disallow your build just because you picked a Tier 5 class. Prestige classes are allowed. Homebrew are not.

    8. What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game? Will you allow homebrewed races or species? 'Prestige' races or species?

Homebrew races are not allowed, variant and subraces are. Also, I'm ignoring Level Adjustment rules, but reserve the right to disallow or alter any race with a Level Adjustment.

    9. By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points?

Must be rolled somewhere where I can see them using standard 4d6, drop 1 rules, along with the re-rolling rules in the Player's Handbook.

    10. Does your game use alignment? What are your restrictions, if so?

Yes, I do use alignment. Race alignments, such as "always Chaotic," I'm going to be lenient on, class-based, less so. Also, seeing as this will, in fact, be an Evil campaign, I will require characters to be of a non-good alignment.

    11. Do you allow multi-classing, or have any particular rules in regards to it?

I do allow multi-classing, and am completely ditching the penalty rule for it. To make Favored Class still relevant, I'm stealing the Favored class rule from Pathfinder. More info below.

    12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game? Will die rolls be altered, or left to the honor system? If players can make die rolls, which ones do they make, how should they make the rolls, and how should they report them?

All in game die rolls will be done in game. Stat rolls will be done through an online method where I can see them, be it through screensharing and a die-roll application with Skype, or at some point in the recruitment thread. Same for starting gold.

    13. Are there any homebrewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about? If so, list and explain them, or provide relevant links to learn about these new rules.

I'm using the Pathfinder rule on Favored Class which boils down to, when you take a level in your favored class, you get one additional Hit Point or one additional Skill Point. There's also the Eberron rules about Action Points, (which I don't believe are open game content, but I will discuss with any player pre-game if they're unfamiliar with them) other than that, and my earlier statement about Level Adjusted races, no variant rules.

    14. Is a character background required? If so, how big? Are you looking for anything in particular (i.e. the backgrounds all ending up with the characters in the same city)?

I will work with you on background. I would prefer you didn't create one on your own, as I'm looking to have the party backgrounds mesh well as a whole, and two are already somewhat developed.

    15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above?

Combat will be an important part, expect it at least once a session, but don't expect it to be hack&slash. The character's you are fighting will for the most part be fleshed out, with personalities that can be fought and exploited as much as their builds. There will be puzzles to solve, and roleplaying to be done in town, but combat is a primary focus.

    16. Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements, or will you be allowing access to non-standard material? What sources can Players use for their characters?

No third-party, no homebrew. For the most part, anything officially published by Wizards will be allowed. (No Dragonlance or Dragon Magazine, though.) If it seems overly cheesy, run it by me first, (for instance Loredrake and all of the associated brokenness won't fly.)

If interested, post in the recruitment thread. I will be monitoring it.

I'm recruiting a few people for a homebrew game revolving around character development and roleplay. The rules are a little interesting, in how every action involves using a skill your character has. These skills can vary in level and you gain experience for them for every use. Starting out, every skill uses a D6 roll and dice may explode to add together in your roll. Damage may NOT explode by the way.

Creativity in your combat is good and healthy, so a hearty dose will do you good :)

Sessions take place on either Saturdays-Sundays, whichever fits everyones schedules best. Usually from 1:30 P.M. - About 7 P.M. These will be hosted over Roll20 and Skype.

Whenever we can't get everyone together we will do "Improv" sessions for some world building and overall filler fun.

Contact me over skype if you're interested! mine is: superhypersoniku

New characters are always welcome on Silence and Whispers - Turin by Night - if, indeed, they dare venture into those cursed lands... S&W is a Vampire: the Masquerade game set in modern nights, in a Domain where, after a series of disappearances, there is no real power structure or established sects - only legends, mysteries and those whose who explore them. A variety of clans, bloodlines, ages, affiliations are available, but as the game is mainly focused on character development well-rounded concepts are required. The game is already active but newcomers may join any time.

Contact me by PM here or directly on the board.

Thinking of running I6 - Ravenloft in D&D 5e, using this conversion:

    Reddit (direct download: DropBox)

The adventure is written for 6 level 5 characters, but I'm willing to run 4-7 characters instead. I find that larger PbP games tend to stall, and with less than 4 players, the adventure would require too much tweaking.

Looking to gauge interest in an old school style D&D game using S&W Complete rules. I would like 4-6 players/characters. Drop me a line if interested. If there are enough players I will post a link. Oh, and this will be a 1st level starting campaign.

I'm looking for a couple new players for a Delta Green game I'm running on another forum. The setting is basically X-Files meets Lovecraftien horror, and the players play government agents fighting against the supernatural. Right now we're sticking to the Call of Cthulhu rules with a few minor modifications, rather than the new rules that just came out. Newbies to the game and system are more than welcome and if anything preferred! My current players know little about the setting but seem to be enjoying themselves, but I'd love to have another two players.

    Check it out here

If you have any questions, feel free to pm me.

Well, I've been thinking of doing an online game since I move around so much, but it looks like the wife has decided we are staying in Manhattan, KS.
I've got some great ideas (I think so anyway) for some games to run, but would need players.
Any interest in the area of Manhattan, JC, or on post at Fort Riley?

Simple conversion of The House of Strahd into Pathfinder. Recruiting for use of Fantasy Grounds. Ultimate Licence holder (means it is free for everyone to join!).

    Genre: Horror/Dungeon Crawl/Fantasy

    Setting: Ravenloft

    Rules: Pathfinder
All 3.5 material can be used, including prestige classes, spells, and feats (subject to DM approval)
I will tolerate only so much powergaming. As long as you can justify your choices from a RP perspective, it will usually be fine with me.
All humanoid races are acceptable (humans preferred)
Preferred method of character generation is using PC Gen and then converting it into FG with the FG Char Gen. Any changes can be edited in afterwards.
For spellcasters, choose your spells wisely. This is a AD&D conversion, so if you do not have any of the typical spells then you might be in for a bit of trouble later on.
Rules lawyering is ok for important things, but I will not let us get bogged down in the minute ("When in doubt, roll and shout!")

Time: TBA (Scotland, UK, GMT +0, UTC +0)
I am available on Friday-Sunday evenings, so that is the planned time (usually around 19.00-20.00)

Communication: Google Hangouts is going to be the main medium of communication. If more people have Skype, then I am ok using that, but I would prefer to use Hangouts exclusively for FG games. Roleplaying and banter through voice chat.

If all goes well, I have a large library of old modules that I am willing to convert in the long run. As I am an ultimate licence holder, I aim to make extensive use of it to get my money's worth.

    Disclaimer:
I am a AD&D 2E and GURPS player by preference. This is my first time dabbling in Pathfinder (I did DM and construct modules in Neverwinter Nights, so I am not totally new to the system). I have an ultimate licence and realised I do not have the time or patience to input 2E material (of which I have an extensive library) and Castles and Crusades does not appeal to me when 3.5 and PFRPG are already available.
In my 2E and GURPS games, I favoured lethality and it was not uncommon to die (although I have never done a TPK). One player made bad decisions a lot - he died at the start and end of the session.

Hi there, looking for 1-2 people for an Online Pathfinder VTT campaign. One person for a Tank/Healer like a paladin or two people, one for each roll (dedicated healer/dedicated tank)

    Notes:
Games take place every other saturday between 3PM - 5PM(possibly longer) Central Time. (next game day is the 29th)
Games will be recorded and uploaded to Youtube, please have a Cam & Mic if possible.
We are using Roll20 for character sheets and dice rolls. Skype is being used as the Video & Audio Medium.
    - Yes you can have a M-W sheet but the R20 sheet so be the most updated so I have a reference point and it ties to your character icon.

If interested PM me, or Skype me (see Profile), for more details as there is more to this and character creation then what is just listed here. You will be starting at level 1.

Recruiting for a 3.5 with some Pathfinder material game. It's a Mind Flayer game, everyone is a Mind Flayer devoted to the cause of Thoon and you'll be hunting down Quintessence and doing various other Mind Flayery things.

Hi all! I'm looking for one more players for my 3.5 campaign. I have 3 people already and I hope to start the campaign within a couple of weeks. The current cast includes a ruthless cutthroat, a charismatic mercenary, and an honorable Mage. If your interested, please PM (private message) me as soon as possible.

    Spoiler: The Big 16
    Show
    1. What game system are you running? D&D 3.5

    2. What 'type' or variant of game will it be (i.e. "Shadow Chasers" or "Agents of Psi" for d20 Modern)? What is the setting for the game (eg. historic period, published or homebrewed campaign setting, alternate reality, modern world, etc.)? Homebrewed campaign with Forgotten Realms Pantheon

    3. How many Players are you looking for? Will you be taking alternates, and if so, how many? Total of five people, need one. No alternatives

    4. What's the gaming medium (OOTS, chat, e-mail etc.)? Play-by-post here in OOC and IC threads

    5. What is the characters' starting status (i.e. experience level)? Level One 0 xp

    6. How much gold or other starting funds will the characters begin with?Base gold for your class

    7. Are there any particular character classes, professions, orders, etc. that you want... or do not want? What are your rules on 'prestige' and/or homebrewed classes?
-As usual for me, sorcerers work differently, talk to me if you seriously want to play one
    - I need to know about any prestige class plans. This isn't just to make sure it isn't too op for the campaign, but mostly so that I can incorporate it into the campaign

    8. What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game? Will you allow homebrewed races or species? 'Prestige' races or species?
if you're looking at playing a weird race, talk to me first (mm type stuff)
    -No gnomes: they're extinct
-no level adjustment or racial HD please

    9. By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points?32 point buy, should be PLENTY.
HP: above average. Example is d12HD =7 hp/level

    10. Does your game use alignment? What are your restrictions, if so?
-Any, although CE needs some convincing. As far as evil goes, understand this. I am fine with it, but the party is your friends, allys, whatever. No killing other party members. Not for gold, or any other personal reason or for your blodd god.... whatever. Just don't, it detracts from the fun the group has.

    11. Do you allow multi-classing, or have any particular rules in regards to it?
If you plan on having 3 base classes, I want to see evidence for them in your story. Also, I want to know about your plans. A character with one level in 5 different classes needs some serious explanation, it looks like optimization, convince me it's integral to your characters identity. I'm not stingy about multiclassing once, but beyond that I feel it's harder to believe easily, especially at level one explaining multiple level ups in advance. (I will help you get there, but I can't have your character going on a two year hiatus)

    12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game? Will die rolls be altered, or left to the honor system? If players can make die rolls, which ones do they make, how should they make the rolls, and how should they report them? Everybody rolls their own die for the most part using the sites dice roller system thingy. I may roll certain things for you at my discretion like disguise.

    13. Are there any homebrewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about? If so, list and explain them, or provide relevant links to learn about these new rules.Sorcerer. Talk to me if you're playing one. Otherwise, know that they are generally evil.

    14. Is a character background required? If so, how big? Are you looking for anything in particular (i.e. the backgrounds all ending up with the characters in the same city)?Yes, I'm going to copy and paste from my OOC thread here. Your background should include certain aspects of your character:

1: class - each character's class helps define who they are, why did your character choose the path they walk. How does the class help define who they are and how they like to accomplish their goals.

2: Speaking of goals, everyone has them. Your goals don't have to be lofty, they could be something personal like: I want to lead. Or they can be rather big such as wanting to end slavery or change prejudices of one's race.

3:Race- your race defines a major part of who you are. While a dwarf doesn't have to be a stereotypical beer-drinking, long-bearded, axe fighter, it should be noticed that these stereotypes come from the perception of others. How do the perceptions of others affect you? Of course another aspect is how you perceive yourself.

4:you are all adventurers in some way, which means you are all different from the normal population. It takes a special sort of conviction to risk one's very life constantly. The alignments are a good example of conviction. I'm not saying that you have to use it, I'm just saying that they are a good place to start. Choosing Lawful means that the law holds special meaning to you, and at least adhering to it is something you place great importance on. Of course the alignments can be interpreted in various ways. One might abide by a guilds code of honor, for example. The point is, when your character chooses an alignment, they have most likely given it a fair amount of thought and you should know what it means for your character.

    15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above? My game involves a lot of hack and slash and roleplaying. Puzzle solving does come up as will political intrigue, but they will play less important roles.

    16. Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements, or will you be allowing access to non-standard material? What sources can Players use for their characters?Copied from my OOC- no flaws
    •no traits
•no Dragon magazine, I don't have time to comb it over
    •no BoVD, Just no
    Please update 3.0 as possible

    Edit: all full. Thanks guys!
