[Lycan 01]

After the performance, Godwyn enjoys seeing David's success, and he will not balk from the hug. Granted, he'll probably get a lot of bruises from it, but hey, nothing a good night's sleep won't fix...



The Next Morning

Godwyn wakes up early for breakfast. Or rather, after a night of horrible nightmares, the disgruntled Paladin decides to forgo unsatisfying sleep in favor of pancakes.

Down to the tavern proper he goes, looking forward to breakfast as soon as the owners begin to offer it - assuming the offer it. If they serve breakfast, he'll order a large number of pancakes, though barring pancakes, he'll take just about anything. If they don't serve breakfast, he'll just flop down in a booth, stare at the ceiling, and wait for the others to wake up and join him...

And then the mailmare shows up. Godwyn is astounded she was able to find him, and tosses her a gold coin for her trouble and devotion to her duty and job. He then looks down at the letter... and frowns.

"Uh oh."

With a sigh and a shrug, the Paladin begins to open the letter, unsure as to what to expect...

[Deme]

Foxglove was more surprised by the success -- and hug -- than anything else.

Foxglove didn't sleep in the inn; somewhere in the night, she wandered off into the woods and slept there, curled up with Tweedle and Fox-glove. She was happier that way, and arrived the next morning to see Godwyn opening his letter. She observed, silently.

[Benson]

Gearstride herself woke with a yawn as she cuddled up against the warm body laying next to her. Last night's make out session seemed to go on forever, not that Gearstride objected to its lengthiness, that the pair just sorta fell asleep together.

Anyways after waking herself up all the way, the mare quietly crept off the bed and quietly made her way out the door with her stuff.

"Icy cold apple cider, bartender, I find myself rather thirsty this morning," She grinned as she took a seat at the counter, and just in time to see Gothard open up his letter.

"Oooh, whatcha got there?" She asked with a lazy smile.

[Mystic Muse]

The letter says

"Dear Godwyn Paladin of Icarus, Gearstride, Foxglove, Foxglove and Tweedle.


You are cordially invited, at your earliest convenience, to come to Castle Canterlot. There, I and my sister Luna would greatly appreciate it if you'd be willing to do some sort of performance for us. We heard about what happened in Trottingham, and would like to encounter it for ourselves. Don't worry about hurrying, we're both very patient. I hope you're having a nice day.

[Lycan 01]

Godwyn blinks a few times, before turning the letter over, reading it a time or two more, and then finally giving the rest of the group a rather perplexed look. "We seem to have been offered a royal invitation to come visit Canterlot, and put on a performance for the Princesses," the griffon quietly informs his comrades, looking more than a little confused and overwhelmed. He offers out the letter for the two mares to read for themselves.

[Deme]

Foxglove reads the letter. She does not like Canterlot; it's a little scary, going back... And it was very sad and lonely there.

She doesn't say that. She doesn't say anything, only stares down into the eyes of her little fox. She lets Gearstride have the letter and lets everything circle around in her head.

[Benson]

Gearstride grinned a little as she read the letter for herself. "Guess the princess forgave me for that smooch incident, hahah...or really...she secretly wants another stolen kiss hahaha." She bit down on her lip and continued to grin cheekily.


"This is totally cool and we should go...it will also allow us that audience with the princesses in regards to that necromancer business."

[Lycan 01]

Godwyn scratches the back of his head. "Yes, I suppose this has it's benefits. An audience with the Princesses would easily allow us to ask about these strange matters we've found ourselves involved in. I think we should help out with the archeology first, of course..."

[Deme]

"I agree."

She didn't want to go to Canterlot again...But she was having fun with these people, too. So if she could put it off, until she decide what to do, she'd be happy.

[Benson]

"Well, there's no rush since it does at our earliest convenience and all," Gearstruide grinned.

[Lycan 01]

Godwyn yawns. "Ugh. I trust you all had a better night than I did?" the Paladin asks. "My dreams where rather troubled. And at times, bizarre. What I can recall of them, at least."

A slight pause, followed by a slightly bemused smile. "Happy Tuesday, by the way."

[Deme]

"...Happy Tuesday...
...
...What's making it happy? Did it get its favorite food? What do days eat?"

She sounded less speculative, more curious.

[Benson]

"Its Tuesday? I thought it was Wednesday...it felt like a Wednesday...oh well...that's just another chance for me to have another Wednesday."


"Anyways.....yea...its safe to say I had a good night," She grinned and waggled her brows.

[Lycan 01]

Godwyn shrugs at Foxglove. "Daylight, perhaps? Munching on it through the day, til none is left, giving way to night..."

Gearstride earns only a facepalm.

[Deme]

"I'll have to find a way to get it some more...It'd be nice to have more happy days."

Foxglove turned her head and sort of wandered off while staying in place, humming the themesong to Happy Days.

[Benson]

"Whelp....why don't we have ourselves a big breakfast before we set out eh? My treat," Gearstride cheerfully said.

[Lycan 01]

Godwyn smiles and nods. "Thank you for that kind offer."

And so the Paladin orders him some pancakes... while having the theme song to Happy Days stuck in his head. Thanks Foxglove.

[Deme]

"Really?"

Foxglove looked surprised at the treat. Before Gear can take it back, she orders strawberry pancakes.

[Lycan 01]

[4/23/2013 2:43:07 PM] Benson: Gearstride grinned and nodded as she herself took to eating some pancakes, ordering herself a large stack. Nightime makeouts were exhausting afterall. "Mmmm.....good peanut nuggets...I wish I could have these during our trip...Yo....Paladin Feathers, you cook, you make good pancakes, si?"

"That's good enough for me," She grinned and gave him a faux salute.

[Deme]

Foxglove was going to say something about how rarely her food resembled food...But it went down a mental track and came out:

"If something doesn't resemble itself, then is it the same self as if it did?"

[Lycan 01]

Godwyn ponders for a moment. "In theory, yes. Changelings do it. They are always themselves, even when they are not themselves. They wear a mask and play a part, but the original creature still exists beneath the deceptive shell." And after that deep observation, he goes back to munching on pancakes.

[Mystic Muse]

They have a very nice breakfast, accompanied by karaoke of varying types and qualities. Karaoke is fun like that.

Godwyn can notice from here that the one magician is gone, probably to try going to new places as he suggested. A few ponies mention going to the town square to get their manes styled by David.

A little while later, Silent Night walks into the bar.

"Hi, Gals and guy." She says happily. "How are you today?"

[Benson]

"Heya babe, nice seeing you," Gearstride smirked and gestured for her to come sit next to her. It was oddly not a pervy gesture or Gearstridey.

"Eatin' pancakes, you want some?"

[Lycan 01]

Godwyn shrugs. "Unpleasant dreams, pleasant breakfast. And a letter from Celestia to come do a musical performance when we have the time," the Paladin factually replies. "Today is off to an interesting start..."

[Mystic Muse]

"Heya babe, nice seeing you," Gearstride smirked and gestured for her to come sit next to her. It was oddly not a pervy gesture or Gearstridey.

"Eatin' pancakes, you want some?"

"No thanks. I'm more of an eggs and hash browns girl. Besides, I already had breakfast. Thanks for the offer though."

Godwyn shrugs. "Unpleasant dreams, pleasant breakfast. And a letter from Celestia to come do a musical performance when we have the time," the Paladin factually replies. "Today is off to an interesting start..."

"That is an interesting start...unpleasant dreams? Such as?" She asks.

[Deme]

Foxglove only nodded a greeting, though the subject of bad dreams...Seemed to make her concerned.

"...Was it about...What happened before?"

[Lycan 01]

Godwyn... actually looks a bit uncomfortable. "...yes."

The Paladin looks down at his pancakes, and sighs. "I had a dream, or perhaps a nightmare, involving a meeting with Anacra. I do not remember much of it... which is probably for the best," he says with a small scowl.

"Oh. And then after that, I had a dream about Discord," he explains, before looking back up and turning to Silent Night. "Happy Tuesday, by the way," he deadpans.

[Benson]

Gearstride was in listening mode, her mouth stuffed with pancakes, she wasn't going to contribute at this moment because of it.

[Deme]

Foxglove bit her lip, trying to think of what to say to put him at greater ease. It was easier to calm someone when the nightmare was fresh.

Oh. Of course.
"Umm...If you have a dream like that again...Please...Come see me."
