Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
Attack. It's got 28 defense though.
I'm really not sure of what to use for my team for going to the elite 4.... I've got Flygon, Zoarok, Samurott, Galvantula, Lucario, and Excadrill.

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
Yikes...
Well, I mean I managed to get both a 0 attack iv garchomp and ttar to work so Slaking should do okay. I mean, I wouldn't use it against another person or on the battle subway, but it is still a Slaking.Once you go blue, nothing else will do. Once you go Quarian...someone will die.

I recently amassed 97 Hard Stones. Too bad the Ore maniac doesn't buy in bulk.

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
Just defeated Wattson with Jellicent. That's right, Jellicent.
...Or, rather, Haxorus trashed his Manectric and almost got the 3HKO on Magnezone (stupid thing used Magnet Rise on the turn it had Air Balloon), but died because aforementioned Magnet Rise kept it out of reach of Earthquake. However, Magnezone failed to 2HKO Jellicent, who was able to finish it off and then Electrode decided to go for defensive buffs after taking a Will-O-Wisp... and then failed to follow up with a Charge Beam that actually did anything.

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you have any or all of the following Pokémon to trade:
Female Dream World Dratini
Female Dream World Tentacool
Female Dream World Poliwag
I don't have 10000 dream points (or 7500 in the case of Tentacool), and I kind of need them right now.Previously known as Dorian Soth.

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
Give me an hour or so and I could breed you a female DW Dratini with ExtremeSpeed. This was PWT, and I've seen it correctly predict my bait-and-switch, and never miss with Focus Blast (while I've missed consecutive Will-O-Wisps), so I'm pretty sure it's in not-quite-full hax mode.

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
I've got a number of Pokémon on my no-I-don't-have-a-full-Pokédex-yet list, but there's not much that I can't obtain on my own... a female DW Vulpix/Ninetales would be nice if you have one, though.
Also, I beat the World Leaders tournament with two straight sweeps because Liza decided that the best way to take advantage of a weakened, Outraging Haxorus in a Trick Room was to continue to to use setup moves. That, and Fantina didn't do much better... even throwing the match with a Curse from Dusknoir for a self-KO.Last edited by Mando Knight; 2012-12-16 at 05:46 PM.

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
Would raising my entire team to level 60 before challenging the elite four in B2 be overkill?
Right now everyone is level 52-56 and I haven't even gone to Victory Road.

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
So, my friend recently gave me a female Speed Boost Torchic as a Christmas present.
Needless to say, I was absolutely overjoyed. I've been wanting a Speed Boost Torchic for a while now.
Would anyone like me to breed them one?Busy with Life

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
Now that I beat the E4 in B2, I'm going to work on getting my dex filled. Anyone willing to trade to me a tepig and snivy egg? No particular stats needed, and I can work on getting you an Oshawott egg in return.

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
Hows this sound for an OU team?
Gengar w/ Levitate
Dugtrio w/ Arena Trap
Starmie w/ Natural Cure
Hydreigon w/ Levitate
Skarmory w/ Sturdy
Ferrothorn w/ Iron Barbs
If this seems like a good line up do you have any move suggestions? Attitude suggestions?
How about for this UU team?
Bronzong w/ Levitate (or should I go heatproof? Levitate removes his ground weakness and makes him immune but heat proof reduces the 2x fire weakness to 1x)
Umbreon w/ Synchronize
Kingdra w/ Swift Swim
Porygon-Z w/ Adaptability (for Conversion 2 abuse)
Chandelure w/ Flashfire (since Shadow Tag isn't out yet)
Machamp w/ No Guard for Dynamic punch abuse
If this seems like a good line up do you have any move suggestions? Attitude suggestions?
Edit - any advice on who I should send out first?
Would it be good to send Ferrothorn out to set up field tricks?Last edited by Vemynal; 2012-12-18 at 08:04 PM.

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
So anyway guys, what do you think of this team? I've been using it for a few days and I am quite happy with it. So far I've only had problems with Sun teams (specifically with Venasaur) mainly because I don't have any fire attacks and after a Chlorophyll boost Cobalion can't hit with HP Ice before being KO'd. Any ideas on how to remedy that?

Re: Pokémon Thread XIV: Return of the Pokémon Thread Strikes Back Harder
Try switching to a Scarfed Starmie. It'll outspeed and KO Venusaur with Ice Beam. Heatran or Volcarona could also work: they wall any Venusaur not running Earthquake, and their powerful STAB Fire moves turn the sun back on Venusaur.
