Re: Alchemists of Al-Revis (IC)
"Hey calm down. I still need to check your equipment. Do you all have your wings of icarus?" She checks your equipment and wings, making sure everything is in check. "Alright this dungeon will be made of a few rooms. Each group gets the same dungeon. You will have me with you, but outside of advice I won't help."
She takes your group to the podium and has you drop the charm. You vanish and appear in a dungeon corridor. A statue of some kind of goddess behind you. The teacher examines the statue. "This could be interesting." She comments. "Usually this statue is that of a boy. I think the planes might be changing. I will need to report this later." She points to a door on the other side of the room. "Begin."

Re: Alchemists of Al-Revis (IC)
Quill snaps her wrist, and a shimmering glaive appears in her hand. She grasps it with both hands, and grins.
Ready guys?
Then she moves towards the entrance.

Re: Alchemists of Al-Revis (IC)
"Just a second." Says Aldaric as he takes out one of his brand new scrolls. And he quietly casts Mage's Armor.
Then he takes out the other scroll, keeping it prepared, just in case.
"Ready now."

Re: Alchemists of Al-Revis (IC)
Alembic pulls a small, cheap looking ceramic tube from one of his pockets and hands it to Quill. "True strike potion. Consume, then attack within 18 seconds. Guaranteed hit. Only have one today, use wisely."
Then he pulls a second potion out and keeps it in his hand.

Re: Alchemists of Al-Revis (IC)
Quill's eyes light up.
For me?! Thank you!
She goes almost as if to hug Alembic, then hesitates.
SpoilerIf Alembic is fine with it you can narrate it in. Otherwise, she contains herself.
Then she turns back towards the entrance, and breathes in once. Again. Suddenly, her previously erratic motions become slow, fluid, and precise. Her eyes become cold and watchful. Nowhere is recognizable the cheerful girl from only minutes before.
"Death to our foes. Ulkar-halash!" she cries, moving forward.
Spoiler/backstory stuff. Even though I just realized I never wrote it down. The short story: She attended a school for assassins, and then left after something terrible happened. (If you want to know more, you'll have to ask her ). Ulkar-halash means "Honor to our Blades". Quill also takes a moment to rearrange the potions on her belt, adding in the new potion and four vials of antitoxin, for a total of 1 TS, 4 CLW, 1 "wonder ingredients", and 4 antitoxin potionsMy Homebrew:

Alembic flinches back slightly when Quill goes to hug him, and then calms when she restrains herself. He apparently has issues with physical contact, or maybe he's just very shy.

Seeing that the others are not going to go first, Alembic moves carefully down the hallway. He keeps an eye out for obvious signs of traps, and goes right at every intersection he comes to.

Re: Alchemists of Al-Revis (IC)
You enter a 25 x 25 foot room with a treasure chest in the middle. There is another door on the opposite side of the room.
The statue is that of a certain type of outsider. The Chikarou. They are said to have strong ties to the dungeon, and have created the first one. It is said that a Chikarou watches over every dungeon and that is what the statue is of. Your guardian.

Aldaric walks in last "Hey, a treasure chest... you think it is trapped?
I can get my servant to open it just in case..."
SpoilerUnseen servant: Open the chest!

Casters, by me! Shouts Quill.
SpoilerIf I beat the goblins, I will use a move action to get within 15 feet of a goblin and then attack it with a standard. I try to make sure everyone is within 5 feet of Quill, if at all possible. Note to the other players in the party: movenext to Quill, its a safe zone. (15 ft reach) Edit: in note of my low rolls, Quill prioritizes getting within 5 feet of all the casters over attacking a goblin. She uses a swift action to increase her HP by 12 temp hp. Re: Alchemists of Al-Revis (IC)
Having already been prepared for this, Alembic switfly flings the bomb potion he's been clutching at the goblin in the northeast (assuming the direction we've been traveling so far is 'north') corner of the room.
He then draws another bomb from his bandoleer and moves 5 feet closer toward Quill.
SpoilerBomb attack (with point blank): (1d20+6)[8]
Bomb damage: (2d6+7)[16]
Scatter (determines bomb location if I miss the static value of 10 for hitting the square the goblin is in with my attack): (1d8)[7]
...And I manage NOT to fumble the bomb and drop it at my own feet. Barely.
However, it ends up hitting the floor 5' in front of him, dealing a mere 9 points of splash damage (fire).

Re: Alchemists of Al-Revis (IC)
Sebastian is decidedly unimpressed by the sudden appearance of four rather surprised looking goblins. He promptly reaches the conclusion that he should be killing them right about now.
He aims at the southeast goblin and from experience he covers his ears.

Re: Alchemists of Al-Revis (IC)
Okay so one is charmed, one is dead, and one is stunned, and the last one is being attacked by the charmed one.
I guess the only one that can act tries to knock out the charmed one.
