Re: Cuthalion's Creatively Created Cranny for Random Banter #192
Good news: My book and model kit came in from Amazon!
Bad news: Without cutters or a decent knife I can't build the latter. Plus two of the pieces have some sort of stain on them, although that might come off with some scrubbing.Spako Highclaws by Ceika.

Re: Cuthalion's Creatively Created Cranny for Random Banter #192
This was this past summer to past winter. There are newly minted teachers who are younger than Coidzors. :/
Been forever since I've had bran flakes. I should have some again sometime... Much better than bran muffins.
Yeah, you're not supposed to eat that. Causes indigestion*.
Scary Indigestion. It's like the opposite of fondant except not really in that it's delicious but not supposed to be eaten as opposed to tasting bad and not supposed to be eaten, which is fondant in case that wasn't clear.

Re: Cuthalion's Creatively Created Cranny for Random Banter #192
Eh, it's through Amazon and I don't know if I can directly contact the seller, and I don't know how good Bandai is about stuff like that. I tried scrubbing; they're definitely scuffs in the paint. Some swirls is inevitable, but these are pretty noticeable discolorations. I might look into this. I mean, what's the point of having giant awesome wings if I have to paint them just to cover scuff marks?

Re: Cuthalion's Creatively Created Cranny for Random Banter #192
Maybe back in the RWA thread, but at this point I honestly can't really remember that much that's interesting details to make it into an interesting story. It was like sleep walking except kicking, mostly.
Ship, you need to eat a proper and balanced breakfast, just like Tony the Tiger says. So go and eviscerate a small goat and finish your cereal.
I felt the same way between the ages of 13 and 18. Before then I was a little kid and can only dimly recollect having silly crushes on a couple of teachers and student-teachers. After that I was confused by the number of attractive coeds majoring in Education more than anything.
0.12/2? Funny you should mention honeycrisp though. I'm totally eating some chicken and waffles right now. Man this stuff is good.
*zombie noises*

Re: Cuthalion's Creatively Created Cranny for Random Banter #192
Yes. I dare because of the might of HISTORICAL PRECEDENT!
Also, it's delicious. Seriously. A bit of chives or green onions, the right mix between fluffiness and crisp for the waffles... Fried chicken that's actually fried properly....
*kisses fingers* muah!

Re: Cuthalion's Creatively Created Cranny for Random Banter #192
Delicious, as said! I seamlessly blends breakfast and dinner into one happy whole. It's fried chicken and waffles. If you don't know what waffles taste like I'm not sure if I'd be able to explain in a satisfying way, I'd recommend watching a youtube video of someone making waffles or something along those lines instead as that might give more of the je ne sais quoi of waffledom. Fried chicken is just breaded, crispy chicken, so basically chicken with an exterior crunch that is a good crunch.

Re: Cuthalion's Creatively Created Cranny for Random Banter #192
I'm sure my brother won't mind me thanking you for him.
I might end up liking it, so I'll have to give it a go now.
And a different world and story and other things...
Yes. Logic is the worst thing to rely upon in an argument. Unless you're right, and then you can do whatever you want.
I know!
Oh well... It was good while it lasted... Actually, no one danced... The Reception was at a rather small venue. Good food, but no dance floor.
Shockingly enough, there were no incidents. Except... My Sister-in-Law didn't know the way to the Registry Office in town, so we had to guide them in. And the chefs at the hotel where we had the reception accidentally smashed the cake topper which was a gift... But that was solved really quickly because the hotel was really good and ordered one off the Internet that night to replace it.
Actually, he wasn't married when you posted that. A win for you good sir?
She did indeed.
You are truly the wisest among us.
Furthermore, to stop the argument about it, gal is not the feminine of guy. It's an accent-based variation on girl.
Yes. But not in a bad way.
Unfortunate historical implications would confuse everyone and they would assume I was making a political statement.
Anyway... News from me, Elemental.
My brother's wedding was wonderful. It was only a small ceremony and it wasn't very fancy or anything, but it was nice. I admit that I almost cried.
Then we walked down from the Registrar's office to the Botanical Gardens and had a few photos taken.
Then we had the Reception, and there was food, and cake, and if traditional wedding activities are to be believed, the next wedding will either be my remaining unmarried brother or my sister-in-law's sister. (I was smart and stood at the back.)
Funny story; My new sister-in-law just so happened to not know the way. To her own wedding ceremony. We had to give her directions.
And of course, most important of all, I look very nice in my suit. It's a shame that my good pants aren't black so I had to wear my next best pants...Mauve Shirt, Savannah, Gnomish Wanderer, Cuthalion and Smuchmuch get cookies for making me avatars. (::)

Re: Cuthalion's Creatively Created Cranny for Random Banter #192
My understanding is that originally it was because of people with late shifts eating their last meal before hitting the hay during the day. Because it was their last meal of their day they wanted something dinner-like but because it was also close to breakfast, they also were reminded of that so they wanted something breakfast-like too or it was just more easily available or something along those lines.
Mostly though it's good. At least, as long as the components are good. But that's kind of a given for food.

Re: Cuthalion's Creatively Created Cranny for Random Banter #192
Yeah. I really don't know if I want to do teaching anymore, but it just might be because depression's been kicking in right before placement and with all this other stress I simply feel like quitting.
Children are simply just pain.
I love reading those wee stories. Made me wonder if I was ever so creepy as a kid.
Exactly. And the worse part is the pay. Teachers, especially the good ones who at least try to love their jobs simply aren't paid enough for what they do. The work they need to do after school hours is not considered in the pay nearly anywhere. Ridiculous.
ION: Today's lesson was a pain in the butt, but at least some of the children seemed to enjoy. *dies out of stress*Originally Posted by LaZodiac
