...that's wrong on several levels. I mean, he /never/ leaves character to the point that I've met him in the flesh/bone and still aren't sure it's a character. What's more, if his character isn't valid, then neither are any of the powers being used against him.

Basically my point is, if you /drag someone in/ to an RP by calling them out, then it's not their fault if they're not the same scale as the rest of the RP.

Dan Castellaneta is awesome. One of my favorite voices he's done was of Megavolt for Darkwing Duck. Can you imagine if he got a part in MLP? I'd love to see him do some insane minor villain or something on that kind of level we're talking about.

I will just point out to ponythread that I have been around a great deal longer than ponythread - as Thanqol will attest. Nor am I confined to the playground. I have been who and what I am since before I had access to the internet, before 3.0, before I posted even at WotC, where I was first a regular poster of anything. I will be around long after ponythread has sadly faded away in the distant future, long after the GitP boards themselves have faded. In the last, what, fifteen to seventeen years, there has been precisely one, entirely self-inflicted incident that temporarily altered only my corporeal form. There is not going to be another one.

Ponythread has on more than one occasion tried various methods of trying to alter my physical form or my mental state¹ and they have failed every time. Perhaps there is a hint of some sort here...? Should I point out the definition of insanity is trying the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result? Am I being too subtle?

And I pointed out that his powers don't apply in this case. To which his answer was essentially 'nuh-uh, they totally do'. I expected better from him, of all people.

Perhaps that aforementioned statement was a little hyperbolic - though if you go and check back the multiple occasions I have laid it all out for ponythread, you will find it largely correct nontheless - and defensive, but as I believe I have just intimated, I do not respond well to threats to my most fundemental essence of being. And Forum Explorer is correct: mind-rape - which is basically what that... device does - is the absolute worst and most vile action that can be undertaken by anything, literally the highest of all crimes. NEVER, not even in my darkest and most foul moment, have I ever considered such an action - not even on the things I loathe above all others. Let me put it to you this way - I consider that a locking a soul into an eternity of infinite agony is a lesser evil than forcibly altering something's soul and sense of self.



¹And I'll just point out that, given that I am who and what I am because I choose to be, I would without the slightest hesitation, cheerfully destroy each and every thing that has ever existed in every multiverse anywhere before I will allow anything to forcible alter who I am. So I will respond... very poorly... to any attempts that might have even a slim chance of actually working.

So yes, if the above is sounding terse and somewhat annoyed, it is because I actually AM genuinely offended.

well, if it's a transmogrification effect, it would probably work by shapeshifting the brain, which he doesn't have.

And he's immune to shaping effects period, unless he's the caster.

which meens If I were serious about that "making my own" thing(I'm not), I'd need to more or less rework the spell matrix from scratch, and I'm not good enough at necromancy for that.

Eclipse Wing is an odd pegasus, for many reasons. for one, he belongs to the Thestral sub breed, and for two, he's a vampire. yeah, who'd a thunk. He travels the galaxy, hunting bounties and slaking his thirst on criminals, monsters, and other "acceptable" prey. he does find it cruel that he, as a Pelor worshiper, can not face a sun, but it's a small price to pay for the power he now has.

Diamond Scale is a very unique Unicorn, with the wings, claws and pink scales she inherited from her father. She's also inherited a taste for fashion from her mother, and when she isn't modelling the latest designs in shows in siglal and other major cities in the galaxy, she's diving into ancient ruins looking for great treasures.

Shining Eclipse is a marvelous pony, with an even greater talent for magic than is normal for a Unicorn, and a great deal of intelligence, even as a filly. when she's not learning new spells, she goes through libraries of ancient history, looking for the answers to the secret of those memories she has, of a time before, particularly why she remembers having hands
