I have joined the Watchmen, and they have put all Brownstones territories under my control, so they won't make problems either. The Bloods are currently pushed back to Westmarket, so unless the timing of their next attack is really bad, they won't make any trouble either.

There's always some small crime, though, so bring some weapons. If you bring troops, we will have to have an eye on you, just as a general security issue, but otherwise, you'll have free passage.

There's some wreckage and traps left from my fights with the Bloods, but it's mostly just simple tripwires and caltrops. Get sturdy boots, watch where you're going and either come during the day or bring good lights and they shouldn't be a problem.

Technomancer and Stanley Steamer of the Steampunks! They work fast, and withdraw in the direction of the Warehouse boroughs when they're done...

Investigation 2: Investigator Jim manages to hop the police cordon, and sneak aboard the ship. He finds signs of a struggle, and one opened cargo containers. It came from Europe, last port of call was Venice. According to the cargo manifest he swipes, most of it is trade goods, but the opened container holds artifacts for the Icon City Historical Society. On his way out, he overhears two detectives talking... "Okay, let me get this straight. The Society DIDN'T have any artifacts shipping in from Egypt? Then who the hell put in the order for this junk?"

Belladona returns to the cult, once again her face is artfully streaked with filth, yet this time less effort is made to conceal the fineness beneath.
She returns the meek little supplicant. When he looks at her she casts her eyes demurely to the ground, when he speaks she nods along. She is a constant state of fevered anxiety that can only be stilled when struck dumb by his oratory. She hovers and flits, at once hoping and dreading he will come before her, speak to her, or even look in her direction. Yet whenever he comes she flits away, hovering at the edge of the crowd and hating herself for it. She knows the Father is busy, she can see how the following has grown, she knows he is an important man. She knows that she is very unimportant, and so she waits her turn with the general attitude of one who does not believe themselves to deserve a turn.

Belladona has a icy beauty, like a glacier, and not unlike a glacier so much more lurks beneath the glittering surface. He mind is at work throughout the room. To many she is an inch, a nagging at the back of the mind, an intensification of a pre-existing craving. Junkies suddenly craving for a fix, junkies whose eyes keep sliding back to the two 69ers toward the back. In the most faithful, the oldest faces she remembers, she works to improve her own standing, taking the time between the Father's speeches to reinforce the indoctrination with personal contact and kind words. She seeks to create a nucleus of the most faithful and set herself at the centre of it. And all the while she works on the father. Always drawing his eye back to her, the tall redhead in the crowd.

Eventually her time comes 'Father, I have brought you a gift She proffers a shining needle I got it from the Stone Cold Killers, they say it's the best in the city. I do hope so, I would so like to please you. She kneels down before his chair, and takes his arm reverently, rolling up his sleeve with the tenderness of a mother and the enraptured attention of a lover May I?

Dressed in a finely pressed, white lab coat, Professor Lazarus enters the cafe as inconspicuously as he can. Almost immediately noticing the imposing (and loud!) figure of Gilgamesh, the good doctor breathes a sigh of relief that, at the least, he wasn't the center of attention.

Opting to try to stay relatively unnoticed, Lazarus takes a seat in the cafe with a clear view of the room. With the Son of Uruk's entrance, it shouldn't be too difficult to spot this "Walter" fellow, and there was no sense in causing a bigger scene.

Belladonna works the crowd... Or tries to. She finds that she simply cannot control their attention, which keeps coming back over and over again to Father Figure.

His power is like her own, she realizes, but narrower. He can control attention. Focus it, disperse it, take it, adjust it... Anyone he can see, anyone who can hear his voice, falls under his effect. Even HERSELF, she realizes. Her mental powers give her some resistance, but if he made a concerted effort, he could probably overwhelm her.

Midway through the third sermon, she realizes that he's looking at her. And that the rest of the room is as well. Then the eyes shift away, and he continues.

He KNOWS.

When she proffers the needle, he smiles beatifically. "Thank you darlin', I'll use that later."
He takes it without shooting up.

Walter glances over at Gilgamesh. "Normally we don't hire much on the heroic side of things, but the Professor feels that your definition of heroism is a bit different from the current standard. More pragmatism, less spandex. We can work with that, so long as you reciprocate in good faith."

"I'll get to the point."

"The revelation and confirmation that the Draugrs are vampiric in nature causes a few puzzle pieces to fall into place. The professor's known about the Black Bloods "secret weapons" for a while now, gotten a few samples from them, too. He's a man of science, however, and the notion that these things were the products of debased vampires never occured to him."

"So he'd like to acquire a less-contaminated strain to study."

"Are you familiar with the group calling themselves the Eternal Darkness? A coven of "good" vampires living on the outskirts of the city?"

Somewhere in the Outskirts a young man was teaching someone older and less experienced than him in the art of fighting.

"No you are doing it wrong, you should Strike harder, put your thumb out of your fist and move your body and shoulder like this so that it leaves you open to get away from your opponent if your punch doesn't work on them". Tempest dropped into his combat stance and showed the movement to her in slow motions before he hit the tree with his gloved hand with enough force to shake some of the snow on it.

Samantha tried punching the tree with the same movements and after a couple of tries she seemed to nail the basic part as the tree shook bringing some more snow down, Tempest nodded she had finally nailed the basic punch down.

"Its important to note that with your frame your punches will be weak as you are, no offence kiddo, but you lack muscle, your best bet is to carry a weapon like a knife or a gun if you wish to kill someone or defend yourself, of course plenty of people who can not only disarm you, but take a bullet or a knife at them, the vampires, demons, empowered people, and more." He glanced at her as she took some deep breaths after the intense exercise, she never knew that tempest trained so much just to be on good shape to fight.

"Then what can i do to get more powerful quicker?". Truly a simple question, but one who is willing to do anything can also lose everything if they are not careful.

"Hmm magic, powers, cybernetics and more all those are quick ways to get power....sometimes at a price, its not worth it, if you get power thats fine you should train on it, but for now i will teach you the basic stuff so a random thug who underestimates you will be in for a bad surprise. After that if you ever get powers make your own style, muay thai and Jeet Kune Do are good enough styles for you to use and kick ass or start your own style based on them, but most importantly you need real fighting experience, and while i don't recommend attacking people randomly its what i did until i nailed my fighting style down, for you....hm ask Mara or Strider to help you, but i might be helping you later so dont worry much, now lets get as to how you properly kick someone".

Hrm you should pay your interns and secretaries more then, i think they might have done something...either way, i got some papers from my early happenings(but some details are now lost for some reason....as in the last person who survived and knew the information has forgotten them(magical in nature most likely what go to her), and no while i survived and saved her life she was amongst those guarding that guy...hmm i forget how he looked like.

Bellow is a mostly complete report(lets say if you want to hear more...i owe you a small favour in information..hmm that i am allowed to disclose without dying or worse).

Anyway this whole mess started with one apprentice from the Order of the Hand and Eye being guarded by me and my friends, he tried to escape, but he was guarded by some critters that resisted his whole attempt(he had a weird spell), anyway the critters ate him, now his remains are chow chow if you want them.......hmm dont know if anything remains however, i lost my critters(as in dead, no i dont let them wonder around, hurt the innocent, unwritten rules yo).

Anyway The order's leader is Solomon the Wise(no clue if its that Solomon). The Order is very skilled at secrecy, as i learned after speaking with the guy(and has spells to protect information from leaking judging by you not receiving the letter and my friend forgetting some details).

Now why i was guarding this guy with my friends?, because he was spying on some people, but i was told to keep him until they would reach an agreement and make him an offer to become a mole to the Order instead.

Who are those people?, well partially i cant say, and i also don't have a proper description to help you.
