hello everyone, i've been lurking around here for a while, wondering whether or not to post (i hate walking in on new threads )
Welcome to the banter! It is always a new thread. All the talk in here would be 300 pages long but the banter is put in a fresh thread sometimes. I am making some tea. You may have some too. I will try and find something in the last two pages to talk about.

In other news: I saw a doctor this morning and he was a very optimistic doctor. But in any case, I don't have a bacterial infection and should be fine in a few days, a week at the most. After that, we went shopping. I bought a calendar to put on the wall of my newborn niece's wall because I quite literally couldn't think of anything else to get and the calendar stand had a very helpful salesperson. My Mum thinks it's a terrible choice, and she's probably right, but it's a nice calendar. I also got Mynxae some cutlery and plates and things because he needs them.
As for my brothers, I'm just going to put money inside a card, and possible inside an envelope.
That is good science. And they did try. Crumbs in space were dangerous to the rocket controls. And since space science is good for us all we got bread that does not drop too many crumbs. It is called english muffin bread. It is not a true english muffin. It tastes like it after toasting and butter though.

I am happy that you will not take weeks to heal.

The calendar needs a little more to make it special. Buy a ribbon and a good pen and a little bottle of hand sanitizer or a travel box of hand wipes. Tape the ribbon to the calendar and tape the pen and hand cleaner to the calendar. Add a card that says now you do not have to run for the baby book when she does something special. Write baby's first moments in here and write them down in the book later when you and baby are not going to spill anything dirty on the special pages.
I have found a RL gaming group but I'm willing to meet other GitP people nearby.

OH MY GOODNESS! No wonder you guys were so quiet! There was a new page! I was like, what happened to everyone...

So I can't see Teddy's image, but back reading it looks like I'm in it, so that's something to look forward to when I get home! Not to mention I love Teddy arts. (Teddy, it is hecktic, just a good hecktic! )

Speaking of arts! I completely forgot to post my fishes that I was painting a while ago! Who was that that wanted to see those??

I think I'm going insane...I keep doing these archival projects for no reason other than the craving to organize and process information. Anyone ever have that before, or am I just crazy?

ION: Paintings for christmas are finally commencing...now if only I could get them done in time...and I need to start working on my character for a certain D & D game. Christmas is coming!

What are you archiving? I do it for a living, so I do my best to be as messy and disorganized at home as possible.

Okies, I shall try and remember to post when I arrive home.

I'm doing a transcription of the order of the stick comic. I have about 536 left to do, and am trying to get some helpers, but it's mostly just me. The tricky part is going to be posting them in such a way that they avoid the character limit, as well as leaving enough room for future updates. The first post goes up to update 45, the second to 80, and so on. I just wish I could get 50 in a page, but alas.

Not to mention I've got my huge world building project, and my even bigger Annotation of the order of the stick, which is getting fairly big, yet fun to archive. Data entry for me is fun when I enjoy the subject. I like problem solving things that come up in the entering as well.

I'm a tad messy at home myself, but as a teacher I'm VERY organized. It's a strange contradiction.

Lie? But we do have good beaches! They're not on the same level as some beautiful beach in the tropics, but the Cape, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket are all very fine places to go relax near the water during the summer. Certainly they're nice to a Canadian who lives near the arctic circle.

This would likely be correct. Though from what I've heard Natucket's not a very nice place. So many dudes going their with buckets, did it have a massive flood?

Nantucket? Not a nice place? I suppose if Hurricane Sandy recently passed through, then yes, but barring a massive storm like that it's a nice island.

Ugh. I've taken two showers and I still smell of chlorine, and I kinda failed at it. It felt like I wan't getting enough oxygen and I wasn't weighted correctly so I was behind everyone else and didn't get to do very much at all. Also, there were no shoes that fit me, so my flippers were on my bare feet and it really hurt. I woke up with major back pain this morning and bleargh. I much prefer swimming with just a nice pair of fitting goggles in real ocean water.

I'm most familiar with this version:

There once was a man from Nantucket
Who got his foot stuck in a bucket
    Try as he might
    It remained stuck on tight
And so in the end he said: "Oh bother."

Then the teachers would do just the same.

I always love rich colors. But I most like that a few drops of paint trails makes them look like they are moving.

Also, there were no shoes that fit me, so my flippers were on my bare feet and it really hurt. I woke up with major back pain this morning and bleargh. I much prefer swimming with just a nice pair of fitting goggles in real ocean water.

ION: Today has been a very educative day for MoonCats! Today in school, I learned:

    • Copper (III) Bromine looks like a chupacabra.
    • Russians dislike botanists.
    • The main consumers of marijuana globally are horses.
    • There is something inherently funny about forty three million bananas.
I am sad that you had less fun. That should have been joyful. The equipment or the skill of the people fitting the equipment got in the way. This is not a busy season for scuba and there was no need to rush and not make things right.

That list brings the random into random banter.

Cards Against Humanity, eh? Such a horrible game. I'm not nearly horrible enough to play it.
