Re: Kill la Kill: The first life fiber is what?!
The point was that other than "Die Welt ist grausam, sie ist grausam" nothing in Blumenkrantz is possible to make out as being words, even when you know the language. Also, that line is another example of the lyrics being kind of dumb. It's just "the world is cruel, it is cruel". That kind of repetition is just silly.

Re: Kill la Kill: The first life fiber is what?!
There's even the question of if she actually is Ragyou or just the life fibers acting through her by the events recorded on the show. The life fibers are set up as the unsympathetic villain but Ragyou herself can come out as quite the tragic figure. Did the human "Ragyou" even exist anymore by the time Satsuki and Ryuuko were given birth to? Or was it just the first life fiber using her as a body to drive its own will?
Well, in this type of music repetition is quite common. It can be used as a tool to underline something, for instance. I don't think it's especially out of place in Blumenkrantz.Campaign Journal: Uncovering the Lost World - A Player's Diary in Low-Magic D&D (Latest Update: 8.3.2014)

Re: Kill la Kill: The first life fiber is what?!
...isn't that kind of the point of Ragyo's character?
The vast majority of what she spouts is essentially bizarre nonsense with the underlying message of cruelty through status dragging through all of it. It sounds kind of like there's an underlying logic to it, but there really isn't.

Re: Kill la Kill: The first life fiber is what?!
In short: Finale was pretty awesome/sweet. Maybe not everything everything I hoped for but Super Saiyan Ryuko was good enough to make me feel happy.
Huh? I can't really think of anything a compliation movie would make really better but... oh, well.

pissed me off a little.Spoilerdeath of Senketsu
Also, is confermed that when the Bluray/DVD will come, and it seems like it would be about the aftermath of the fight.

Engraved here is a rendition of an image of the Dwarf Fortress learning curve. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It depicts an obsidian overhang which menaces with spikes of obsidian and tears. Carved on the overhang is an image of Toady One and the players. The players are curled up in a fetal position. Toady One is laughing. The players are burning.

Re: Kill la Kill: The first life fiber is what?!
I wouldn't say too much important stuff but yeah, Gurren-hen didn't work as well as Lagann hen. Though Gurren cut much from the second half (though, they didn't even get tot the end of the first season) while Lagann left out some stuff from the early episodes of the second part which would have been nice.. Also, I don't like how they cut down the death toll, but that's just me.
I'll admit, the first half of KlK had quite a bit unnecessary fighting with minor characters which can easily be spared... I'm not quite sure how to cut back on the second half, though.

Re: Kill la Kill: The first life fiber is what?!
Bang.
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT:
What's your ideal dub cast for Kill la Kill (please stick to actors known primarily for voice work)? Here's what I have so far:
Ryuko Matoi: Kate Higgins
Uzu Sanageyama: Johnny Yong Bosch
Aikuro Mikitsugi: Crispin Freeman
Tsumugu Kinagase: Christopher Sabat
Nui Harime: Caitlin Glass

Re: Kill la Kill: The first life fiber is what?!
Hmmm, dub cast huh...
Mary Elizabeth McGann for Ryuko (Motoko Kusanagi from GitS:SAC)
Troy Baker for Senketsu (Abel Nightroad, Greed, Kaguro from Trinity Blood, FMA:B, and Kekkaishi, respectively)
Kari Wahlgren for Mako (Celty from DRRR is the role that makes me think this)
Wendee Lee for Satsuki (Angel, Faye, Suzuka from Big O, Bebop, and Outlaw Star)
Steve Blum for Gamagoori (>.> do I need to explain who Blum is?)
Melissa Fahn for Nonon or maybe swap for Mako with Kari (Radical Edward and Tachikoma voices)
William Frederick Night for Aikuro (Aramaki and Rosewater from GitS:SAC and Big O)
Agreed for Johnny on Uzu
Crispin Freeman for Tsumugu though Sabat would be good as well
Janyse Jaud could pull off Ragyo I think (Kagura from Inuyasha) as she is good at going from sweet talking to cackling madwoman and back againEngraved here is a rendition of an image of the Dwarf Fortress learning curve. Re: Kill la Kill: The first life fiber is what?!
Yeah, that theory (though not that specific source) is exactly what I was talking about when I said I approved of that "inane speculation".
Its completely totally improbable and I doubt its true, which is what makes it so much fun to suggest. I mean that and the rabid hatred so much of the fan base seems to have for Nui.
Discussing it seriously is kind of missing the point. And the main thing propping it up is just Mako's color scheme for that date, but we actually already saw that she favored that combination of colors during the Fight Club episode.

Re: Kill la Kill: The first life fiber is what?!
On the subject of the whole abuse thing and whether or not it was handled well, I found this pretty insightful.
Note that it also contains Metal Gear spoilers, as it's comparing the handling between the two works.

Re: Kill la Kill: The first life fiber is what?!
Eh... well, I guess some points are valid but it still seems kind of unlikely.. I guess the backpack thing - which is pretty obvious - is the most indicative but then this can easily be regarded as Mako collecting trophies of her victims. (Yeah, she's that kind of person) Until we get some sequel which gives us more input I'll just take it as a funny theory.

I actually could not watch past ~30 seconds of that.
I actually couldn't see her not doing that.

Seriously, not only are there so many other things that could have come after "It would be as unexpected as," the one he picked is way out of this one's league on that metric. If Mako = Nui ends up happening then it seems quite a few people will have seen it coming, while if anyone says they expected

Didn't I make that joke in this very thread.
If I wasn't busy shipping Ragyo with DonQuixote Doflamingo I'd say they are a natural couple.
