Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
(Note: Curious tone. Not attacking)
What was your main point of confusion on the tooltip? Did you read through Wriggle's fully?
The full tip is:
+12 Attack Damage
+30% Attack Speed
UNIQUE Passive - Maim: Basic attacks against monsters deal 75 bonus magic damage and heal 10 Health on hit.
UNIQUE Passive: Gain 30% increased Gold from monsters.
UNIQUE Active: Places a Stealth Ward that reveals the surrounding area for 180 seconds (180 second cooldown).
Transforms into Feral Flare at 30 kills, assists and large monster kills.
(Champions and monsters killed with Hunter's Machete and Madred's Razors count toward this transformation)
Limited to 1 Gold Income item

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
Presumably, the confusion comes from the fact that it counts kills before you buy it.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
It probably has something to do with the fact that people rarely read items after they're familiar with the item and tend to instead read patch notes to see how they change from the previous iteration they're familiar with. The patch notes do not indicate whether it applies to Wriggle's or the Wriggle's line, as the change appears under the Wriggle's section specifically.
Also, the patch notes didn't mention that the tooltip was completely rewritten, and it usually mentions when tooltips are changed.
Side note: I can't actually remember that last time I'd read a tooltip in-game before Feral Flare's introduction.
EDIT: I'd prefer if all changes that are in a given patch would be in patch notes, actually.Last edited by thracian; 2014-05-09 at 04:30 PM.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
All for One: Mirror Mode is going up on the PBE for those who want to test the next game mode.
The battle boost sounds interesting too, though I shutter to think of how many times I'll see 'Will buy BB for skinz!' in team select.Chrono Crusade avi by Ceika.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
Feral Flare's tooltip used to say 25 kills when it very much was 30.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
Is there any way we could get the stack numbers for Madred's Razor? It makes sense we don't have it for machete, but having to keep a notepad next to my mouse for buff timers, dragon/baron timers, ult timers, and summoner timers is bad enough, paying attention to exactly how many large minions I've killed is just another thing that there isn't really a good reason not to have a timer for, especially since it's obvious there's already one implemented for that item chain.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
been away for a bit(well.. 7 months, according to my match record[last match, until today, had been back on october 10th). Any major changes?(immediately catching my eye are the new masteries, and the two new champions) Are Yi and Udyr still decent junglers?

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
They're actually better, with the new Wriggle's Lantern upgrade.
I think there's been a few reworked champions in that time:
Kassadin's still good, Rengar is bad now(?), Skarner is still bad, and Gragas is a support. Lulu is a midlaner, due to several supports getting extra scaling added in S4. I might have missed some things. My memory is poor. Your question is vague.
Oh right there was a whole new season with vision changes and trinkets and a new jungle camp and gold generation items and supports can actually build items now and stuff.Last edited by Ashen Lilies; 2014-05-11 at 01:54 AM.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
Reworks/major new items/mechanics changes were the main things.
How is Gragas as a support? it sounds like it could be a fun one to try(I used to play him midlane.. but it often got a bit monotonous)
edit: also neat. is it new type of jungle camp, or is it another of the old types?Last edited by Togath; 2014-05-10 at 11:25 PM.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
It's a Wight (looks like a giant wraith), it's near Blue, has about as much health as a buff monster and hurts like a bitch. Single-target clearers like Yi and Warwick can take it no-problem, AoE monsters like Amumu are better off leaving it alone early or get their butts kicked.
Also, *catches up to all-stars*

I am becoming more and more convinced that the number 1 way to climb in ranking is not to win, but rather to not lose.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
A combination of both, really. People who aren't you can't/don't need to carry literally every game. Sometimes you just need to be the pebble that sits easily in someone else's pocket.
(maybe if you stopped playing with Bronzies you would encounter this phenomenon :p)Last edited by Ashen Lilies; 2014-05-11 at 10:32 AM.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
Oh god yes. As long as you don't feed, the odds are in your favor. (5/9!) Carrying solo queue is statistically unnecessary, altho' you end up doing it anyway sometimes.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
You climb faster if you're good at carrying. When I was playing ranked, though, I tended to just go for not losing. I've never really been good at carrying, but I'm decent at not losing. There was one, maybe two games I came out of thinking, "Yeah, I CARRIED that!" It was way more common for me to be more along the lines of "This Ori seems pretty solid and had a good early game. Time to start following her around everywhere and keeping people off her so she can win for me."

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
It's probably because I like ADC, but I often feel like I have to carry my solo queue games. I'll end up with wins where I go something like 10/3 quite a bit.
Conversely though, I've gotten close to gold several times only to have a losing streak when I wasn't able to win my lane against better people and didn't have the damage to win fights.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
The biggest trick with playing ADC is learning how to be consistent. When you can lose lane, farm out, and still be useful sitting at the back outputting damage, you're far better than an ADC who wins lane 10% more but then can't do anything when he loses it.

Re: League of Legends LVIII: URFworld
All-Star Finals, OMG vs SKT
SpoilerI felt like OMG threw the first game away. They never really pressed their advantages, and the SKT team was a ticking clock to late game.
The 3rd game..... wow, talk about demoralized team on tilt. SKT was seconds away from finishing the game in sub-20 minutes.
On the whole, OMG is definitely a strong team, but SKT just felt like they had better map control and teamwork to press advantages.Last edited by Olinser; 2014-05-11 at 03:49 PM.
