Re: Insanowar the X: Back to Roman Numerals
9. Tywin Lannister
10. The Legendary Insurgent
That means my full list is:
1. A Cybran battlegroup consisting of two Slammers, a Deceiver, two Fire Beetles and a Rhino.
(This amounts to 2 flak anti-air vehicles, two mobile bombs, a single laser tank and a radar-jamming vehicle.)
2. 24 United Earth Directorate infantry, armed with small arms plus a few flamethrowers, anti-tank rockets, squad automatic weapons and designated marksman rifles.
(Pretty basic space marines. Nothing WH40k over-the-top. Just soldiers.
3. Toph Beifong from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
(Very skilled Earth- and Metalbender. Meaning, she can control those elements. She is blind, but sees by feeling vibrations through her feet.)
4. The Undersiders without Skitter from the beginning of Worm. That is, Grue, Tattletale, Bitch (and three dogs) and Regent.
(Worm is an awesome web serial that you really should read. Basically, Grue can create clouds of darkness that erase all light, mute and distort sounds and confuse the sense of touch. Tattletale has superpowered intuition. Bitch can quickly grow her dogs into giant mutant monsters, and then back. The mutants are very durable, but the dogs themselves are encapsulated inside the flesh of the mutant versions and if they take damage, the dogs die. Regent can provoke uncontrolled movements or spasms of particular body parts, or with prolonged contact to a target take over their entire body.)
5. Four Venom aircraft.
(Very agile VTOL craft that can sustain themselves airborne for prolonged periods of time. Armed with laser cannons.)
6. 8 Fremen Fedaykin
(Fedaykin are skilled Fremen guerrilla fighters. They are very good at surviving in hostile environments and remaining hidden from enemies with superior technology and conventional firepower.)
7. Four worms from Worms, and their entire arsenal - worm-sized, of course.
(The Worms are, well, worms. They have hands, and can operate a variety of different weapons like holy hand grenades, bazookas, concrete donkeys and supersheep. But they are rather small.)
8. A Skyranger staffed with 12 XCOM rookies... and 2 X-COM veterans. This council does not make the statement 'veteran' lightly.
(XCOM is the newer game, and it is, while not necessarily easy (at least on Ironman/Impossible), very lenient. Even rookies can be somewhat useful and soon gain useful skills, they can often take a shot or two without dying and so on. X-COM on the other hand is... well. It's not difficult, as a whole. Once you research alien technology and gain access to their weapons, it becomes rather easy. But it is brutal and does not pull its punches. Especially in the beginning, the aliens kill your troops in one hit, shoot accurately, see farther and are numerous. They also have psionic attacks, powerful explosives (that murder whole groups of your troops in one hit) and all sorts of other nastiness. And Chryssalids, dear gods. Make a mistake, and you will be punished. Sometimes, you're punished even if you don't make a mistake. Tough luck. The two veterans have been through the entire war from the initial stages of the first Invasion to the final destruction of the Terror from the Deep.)
9. Tywin Lannister
(Tywin is a skilled administrator, commander and leader. He is efficient, intelligent and understands the realities of war and politics. He is also good at diplomacy and negotiation, acquiring several key advantages for his side during the civil war in Westeros. However, he is not a nice man.)
10. The Legendary Insurgent
(The Insurgent is the player character on the NOD in some of the C&C series. I mostly chose him for his grasp of unconventional tactics, guerrilla warfare and improvization using nonstandard weapons and limited resources.)

Re: Insanowar the X: Back to Roman Numerals
It's been over two weeks, has anyone heard from him since then?
It's funny, I came back to these forums after not checking it for a while, expecting to be autolyched from Toy Story and either holding up this game or expelled from it for inactivity, and I find that nothing has happened. XD
