"A friend of mine was going to throw a social event, and I was to blend in and listen. But this will work better. She is known to have Plavaan sympathies. I have a little more practice and then some shopping and disguising to do but I should be able to blend in. Jadiete would also make sense though maybe pursuing a different crowd. We will need people covering the servants both on the floor and in the background, they pick up more than people think. Artorias would be good for that. Surdrak is of somewhat noble blood or so I gather, though he is mad as a hatter. He might provide a distraction from the oddities of the rest of us."

Thats a good plan.
I think i still have my courtier costume in my room, and i maybe can arrenge myself a mask in the shape of my face.* Once inside ill take a position by the bar- theyre dwarfs, there has to be one- and see if i can find Calix and peer-pressure him into drinking and revealing family secrets. If i cant find him, ill just be the distraction- attract the attention you dont need- while you gather the more importent information. Sounds good?


Running through his head were pictures of him shattering pricless bottles and/or art pieces with his mind, hitting on nobles, hitting nobles, causing nobles to hit nobles, causing nobles to hit servents, steal stuff, and maybe he will come up with more enjoying stuff while in there.

Jadeite grins a very nasty grin at Surdrak's plan, despite badger and Sora's continued discussion over who can be his excort-slash-date. Dierdre shares that grin, though it's more smirklike.

"Oh, I cannot wait to hear the reports on this party. And Elsee, why sell yourself short? I know you have your own...unique talents, as the young Wyvern circling pcerhea suggests."

"Only if you wish. Hadarak?" She turns to one of her hobgoblin bodyguards, who nods and runs off. Dierdre says nothing while he is gone, only supplies a faint smile in face of the silence. When he returns, he's carrying a tiny box made from black velvet.

"Thank you," Dierdre says as he hands her the box. She opens it to reveal a ring, made of nearly transparent quartz. Jadeite's eyes go wide at the sight of it. "I said I could supply material aid," she explains. "This is a ring of invisibility. As long as you refrain from attacking or any other method of direct combat, you will remain completely unseen. I suspect it might prove useful for aerial scouting, though if you are riding on Wyvern back it will only conceal one of you. Of course, this is a rather valuable possession of mine, and I would like it back immediately after the masquerade."

Dierdre can loan you this one ring of invisibility FOR THIS MISSION ONLY if you want. Alternatively, you can request other aid from her (like certain scrolls, noble outfits, false papers, and the like) that will total to a less expensive value but will be yours to keep. You can only pick one or the other.

Elsee blinked as she looked at the ring, picking it up gently in her hands and turning it over a few times before putting it on to test it. almost immediately she felt... hollow, and from the looks of the others it SEEMED at least they couldn't see her. She removed the ring again. She could steal this, she could very eaally steal this, who would be able to find a small invisible goblin in a big wide old world? then again, she would probably need to get rid of Kheel to do so, he was kind of noticeable. Silently Elsee returned the ring to the box held by Diedre's servant, shaking her head once it was returned. maybe another time.

Dierdre flicks her tongue across her upper teeth in thought. "I would not know the specifics, but I am sure he would have several bodyguards and security for handling drunken louts, if nothing else. Regardless, I doubt they are beyond your capability to handle in a fight--though you obviously should not look to start one. Additionally, some of the security might be dressed like partygoers.

"Your real problem would be the magical wards. I have never been in Cesare's manor but I am sure he has several wards and anjurations installed. They could range from simple alarm systems, to programmed incapacitation glyphs like Sepia Snake Sigil, to guarding constructs, to potentially traps that summon beasts. If you are going to sneak through the manor I would be on your guard."

The party spends some more time discussing their plans with Dierdre, and when they finish she quickly shows them out the door. "Your items will be delivered in a few hours once I have procured them," she adds. And with that, Kayda and some more guards escort the party outside, past all the wards and traps to the front gate.

Figured I should move you all forward so you can roleplay things outside of Diredre's place, run errands, etc. I won't move forward until I have a list of what people are getting from her so please get on that when you can. Elsee chewed on her thumb as she left the building, beckoning for Kheel to come down from his perch upon Dierdre's garden walls. Darric wasn't around at the moment, so this gave her some time to herself, time to think. "Don't waet up for me" was all she said before kicking Kheel in the side lightly to signal for him to take off. Next stop, the prison they dropped off the hobgoblin seer in.

But before getting away too far, he turned around (failing to be graceful) to say:

Oh (woah!) , and Sora, Ill need to talk to you privatly sometime.

Slightly sad, but attempting to be optimistic, he thought about the plan he didnt have, the fact he's too tired to come up with one and the fact that he is fighting a losing battle, past failures, future failures, current failures, various creatures, the need for new cloths, a drink.
First shops, then bars, if any of these still had people at the rich parts, he WILL find a way to be jucial yet again.

And also he needs to think of a symbol for himself, aside from the familial one.

His pace got faster.

The guardhouse itself is thankfully cooler than the rest of Runite, but it's still stiflingly hot and sticky. Severa, the guardswoman with the long orange hair, is fanning herself with a sheaf of reports, though she puts them away when Elsee comes in. "What do you want?" she asks.

Elsee idly tapped the rune on her forehead with one hand as the other shook supporting her weight. "It's a Goblinoid thing, ya probly wouldn't get it."

"I do hope you realize Dierdre and her underlings have not yet delivered all the items," Jadeite says. But he does show her his outfit hanging in a closet, clean and pressed and not even remotely smelling of formaldehyde.

"i was outta town recently while he was in here 'nd found out that his father died! i just COULDN'T let him go on without knowing great-grand-pappy's gone, so i had to come back 'nd tell him!" Elsee rummaged through her bag, pulling out a vial of Red Surdrak's Spirit Slime(tm) and waving it lightly infront of the guard. "Blood of his daddy's killer, hobbo tradition states he's gotta drink it as a sortta vengance yaknow? Silly Plavaan stuff, you probably don't wanna watch."

Elsee grinned and gave the guard a small salute with one hand before allowing herself to drop to the floor again, pocketing the vial and shaking the ache of supporting her weight from her arms a bit as she scampered towards the cells.

The cells are dark and quiet, filled only with the snores of drunkards thrown in for the night. All the way in the back, Belladonna and Nedivax are leaning against the wall. Nedivax's shirt is rolled up so his bare back can press against the cool stone better, while Belladonna is looking out the window. Both of them start at Elsee's arrival.

"Well, we're getting food and they're cleaning out the bucket, so at least there's that," Nedivax mutters while Belladonna practices a couple illusions. He looks back and forth, then lowers his voice and asks Elsee in a qhisper, "One Plavaan to another, you wouldn't be able to get my spellbook back so we can bust out of here, would you?"
