Default Oh Extras button, why do you Tease so....

Everytime i see the big old "!" button next to the cast button i click on it, and nothing happens....which is even worse then if it took me to say a broken link page or at least a "this page doesn't exist dummy" message, because false hope says "maybe you only thought you clicked it, but didn't and there is a giant page of erfworld extras waiting for you...so i click again. *click* nohting. This time i'm sure i clicked it, but i click again anyway. I know there are no extras yet and that it probably falls after putting parson on the cast page in order of priority, but the fals hope the button presents every time i see it and its mocking not-going-anywhere-when-i-click-it-ness is torrment underserved....

Many thanks to El Goonish Shive for the banner image.

Give a player a fish, and he’ll probably try to sell it to an NPC fisherman.

Teach a player to fish, and next week he’ll show up with the book, “The Complete Adventuring Fisherman”. He’ll start hunting for some monstrous leviathan to catch and enslave, and he’ll be dual-wielding two fishing poles.

Stop mixing up your dead scientists! Pavlov had nothing to do with Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle. And he certainly had nothing to do with Schrödinger or his famous undead cat.

Now, when I ring this bell I'll feed you, if you promise to stop mixing your metaphors.

He does if you spent a semester getting lunch right after physics class, and thus learned to salivate when somebody recited the value of Planck's Constant.

Hee! If anything, Pavlov would salivate in his grave. Besides, Learned Optimism by Seligman has a fascinating story about how it was scientifically demonstrated that even dogs contradict pure behaviorism. Sometimes they act in ways that violate conditioning and indicate an expectation. I'd say the OP is just an optimist.

But are you sure there's no other universe where it's Pavlov's Cat? Has it been observed?

Ah, but if it hasn't been observed, did it make a sound when it hit the ground?

IN fact, you could say Schrödinger and Pavlov are as different as cats and dogs...

But we don't actually know, seeing as the state of the glass is currently unknown. Therefore, the glass can in fact be at half-capacity, and your assumption based on conjecture that the OP will see the glass as half-full.

This thread makes my head hurt.

Completely on topic now, you can actually tell if you pressed it or not. If you haven't, the URL will look something like this: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0042.html If you have, then the URL will look something like this: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0042.html# (the difference is the # at the end or lack thereof)

*applauds* I really must find a time to use that in conversation....
