Joking aside. it's not canon until we get confirmation of a three way make-out session.

Since AUs exist in EGS, it could be canon in one of them.

Apropos AU, has anyone of you thought about Elseworld-Storys for EGS. I have an Idea for an elseworld were evil extremely flanderized versions of Early!Tedd and Early!Susan are reluctantly working together to turn every human being into a lesbian(Susan because she thinks, that woman are better people and lesbians have better taste and Tedd, because Lesbians are sexy awesome), while Elliott & Co. must oppose them.

Not much time left - what do you think the next page will be?
    Diane's reaction?
Other three talking over her attempt to audibly react?
    Back to Eliott and Ashley?
Jump to montage of selected interviews?
    Tara's perspective?
    The actual meeting?

My guess is either A or F.

    New Comic.

I'm thinking that Tara knows about Nanase from her family legacy of monster hunters than from any particular incident. Beings who could be described as monstrous would likely try to learn about those that hunt them, and I somehow doubt that the new year's eve party got leaked to what would be the magical world.

That's what I assumed just happened. She might still be suspicious that she might have taken after her, though.

    Spoiler

I misread Charlotte's tone at first as "I cannot help (i.e., influence or impact) if (meaning whether or not) I am in the car", and that combined with her odd second sentence made me wonder if Chesire or Chaos might be influencing her and she was trying somehow to communicate that she was not in control of her location. Or, Charlotte really was in the car and this being talking is only pretending to be Charlotte.

But after a couple re-reads I realized she's saying she cannot help (be of aid) if she's in the car, which makes a lot more sense.

Immortals can't take direct control of people or anything. Even Dex received the magical equivalent of being given a gun, getting really drunk, and being told "You know what would be a good idea?".

Is that reaction impressed, or concerned? Discovering it's OK for random people who aren't even nobles to kill things they decide aren't human in this world could be a cause for serious worry when you and your family aren't human.

Probably not the way this is going to go, comedy after all, but ignoring the fact monster hunters are vigilante murderers works OK as long as everybody in the story is human, but start introducing characters somebody could reasonably define as a monster and you may want to think about it more carefully.

Not quite - there is a reasonably strict definition of "aberration," which comes down to "once-human immortal magical parasite literally incapable of empathy". As long as the monster hunters are specifically aberration-hunters, no real problem.

Tara recognizes that vampire hunters are a thing, and doesn't seem concerned by the presence of Diane. It would be weird for her to be concerned by non-noble vampire slayer Nanase but not by non-noble potential vampire slayer Diane.

I don't remember the "literally incapable of empathy" part. What's the source on that?

Aberrations are necessarily serial murderers, because their immortality is predicated on stealing the life-essence of others, but that's not the same as being incapable of empathy.

I think it may be the opposite. It's a recap of things that happened about six months ago, so Dan is probably assuming that readers forgot by now and needed the recap. If one was reading the pages more quickly, a recap might not be as necessary. OTOH, if someone has been digging through the archives or paying attention to Dan's comments, the recap probably wouldn't be helpful, but Dan doesn't want to count on readers doing that.

In the comments on the page:

Actually, as far as recaps go, I've seen far worse. Also, I'm glad that Tara remembered that she was looking for a wife. I was beginning to wonder about that.
